Thank you Roto-Rooter?! We had water seeping out of our floors, which is when we realized that our sump pump wasn't working. Josh from the Grand Rapids location was here within an hour and he had the new pump installed within 20 minutes! You guys are awesome! #plumber of the year award goes to you Josh. I started my New Year off with a flooded basement... which is not awesome. What is awesome is how great of service I got from Josh, Rob, and Kevin! Of course the problem occurred late at night during the holidays so I was panicking at the thought of having to wait until Monday to get help. However the guys at Roto-Rooter made time and worked until 1:00 am to diagnosis the problem. Rob showed up first thing the following day to walk me through the what is wrong, make sure I understood, and let me see it with my own eyes via his pipe camera thing. Getting that kind of explanation and video proof made me much more at ease with what had to be done next... Which was get to the pipes underneath my house that had ""de-laminated"". Once again, the next day Josh and a co-worker showed, got to work, let me visit and see the damaged pipe once it was out, put everything back together, cleaned up the mess, and left me with plumbing that no longer flooded my basement. As much as flooding your house is a bummer, the guys at the Grand Rapids Roto-Rooter did great job and made the entire process as pleasant as possible. Great people!\r more

My home is 7 months old and the pipes back up frequently. Had them come out to clear a back up and use a see snake to figure out why the back ups are so frequent. I'm on septic so I'm very concerned about flushing or draining anything that shouldnt be. Nothing was found other then flat pipes and a slight bump. With the see snake I could watch how water acted when toilets and drains functioned. Three days later the pipes backed up again, but I know how to clear these back ups now and how the water flows to create or clear them. Both men were helpful and charged fairly for service. They also recommanded Angel Soft or Scotts to help prevent back ups.\r Roto Rooter of Grand Rapids, MI more

We came home from the Big 10 Championship Game Sunday afternoon to find out that our sewer line had backed up into the basement of the home we were renovating. Nate, from Roto-Rooter, drove through the snowstorm to get here within an hour and begin working on our problem. Not only did he do it with expediency and a significant sense of urgency, he also calmy and coolly explained to us what the issues causing this problem could be; what the related costs could be; what we could do to attack the issue; and then provided his recommendations and reassurances. For my wife, who was imagining the expense of tearing up the yard to dig up a broken sewer pipe, Nate was a comforting security blanket in the storm of sewage in our basement. Nate then started diagnosing and applying a doctor-like analysis to the problem and started surgery on our pipes and stayed at it for awhile until he found the problem with the camera and started the removal and solution process. While I stood there in a couple inches of sewer water and back-up with him, he focused in on resolving the issue and then finished the job with a professionalism that personally was reassuring and refreshing. Honestly, Roto-Rooter is a tremendous company and they've got an all-star on their roster in Nate. He was almost like a personal psychologist, physician and surgeon wrapped into one and went above-and-beyond the call of duty to resolve what was a significant issue. We couldn't be more thrilled with him and with Roto-Rooter and would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone. They get the job done and then some -- and their follow-up, follow-through and talented team will take care of you and then ensure everything is resolved satisfactorily. I had a leak in my water pipes in the basement. Dennis the plumber came out to my home inspected and determined that my water lines needed to be replaced. He explained the process and advised me of my options. He took the time to help me understand what was causing the leak and what he could do to repair it for me. He was extremely helpful and friendly. I was extremely happy that the repairs did not take an extensive period of time as Dennis was diligent and thorough. I would never choose another plumbing place after the service I have received with this last visit. I would highly recommend anyone I know to them. more

Rotor-Rooter Plumbers, Grand Rapids: 11-12-13: Had a Drain back up on us last weekend. Kevin the plumber came out and bi-passed the water softener to allow the water to stay on until they could schedule the job. Ross showed up on Tues, Nov 12 to snake the drain and unclogged it. Took him less than an hour for the fix...No mess! Did a great job!\r Will not hesitate to call again for future issues.\r Traci V. more

Absolute call this company. They are quick to respond. Quick to diagnose and fix the issue. Nate was delightful to work with. We had a backed up drain in the basement. He quickly figured out the issue and cleared the drain with great tips on preventing it from happening again. The price was very reasonable. I trust them completely. more
