Bill to the Rescue! 10/23/2011

On a chilly Friday night I went to take a nice hot shower.Unfortunately the shower turned out to be a rude awakening.I had no hot water! I called Roto-Rooter at 9:30 and spoke to a very nice lady.I told her I had no hot water and I needed someone to come to the house the next day.(I had heat,so I easn't too worried). She set me up for an appointment the next day and told me someone would call a half hour before they were at my door.I set the time for between 8-10am. At 8:30am I got a call saying the plumber(Bill) was running late on his last call and it would be about 9:30 before he came to my house. Bill was at my house at 9;30,fixed the problem,answered my questions,gave me information about updating my heating systems and was as polite as could be.I would reccommend Roto-Rooter to anyone who has a problem with heating,clogged drains,etc.It had been 2 years since I last had to call the for a backed-up drain and I'm glad I had the receipt!\r Thanks Bill-You are now my only plumber!!! more

Very Thankful For Bill 10/21/2011

Thank you Bill from Roto-Rooter. Helpful, knowledgable and professional. He replaced our gas pipes after it was discovered we had a leak. The previous pipes we had came with our house and were poorly installed and unsafe. We had no clue of this until the leak was discovered. We can now rest assured that we are completely safe. Thanks so much. We will use Roto-Rooter and especially Bill for all of our future plumbing needs. Glad to have met him :) Highly recommended. more

I Flushed my Engagement & Wedding Rings Down the Toilet! 10/19/2011

I was pretty sure I accidentally flushed both my Engagement ring and Wedding ring down the toilet on Saturday. I was panicking. We called the local Roto-Rooter plumber here on Long Island, and Steve was at my house within an hour. He went above and beyond to help find the rings in the pipes. He used his camera to check underground in the pipes for 2 hours! He was always professional and sympathetic towards me. He tried his best, and even though we didn't find the rings, I was so appreciative of how hard he tried. I am heart broken & devastated, but I'm thankful that there are people who are willing to try their best. Thank you Steve! My husband & I are glad we met you. Thanks for trying so hard. roto rooter did not clean bathroom after work completed 10/18/2011

Excellent Repair 10/14/2011

We had never used Rotor Rooter even though I remembered their commercial since childhood. After calling two local plumbers and going into their voicemail, we need a plumber as our lower level bathroom had water going onto the floor. I was truly amazed that within 20 minutes of the call to them, their serviceman arrived. he immediately put shoe covers on his shoes, went to the problem area, explained what was wrong and provided use with two estimates depending upon whether he could fix the switch in the pump or replace the entire pump. He was able to do the less costly repair, helped clean up the water and exploined what we should do in the future to minimize further problems. Very satisfied with his knowledge, cleanliness and honesty! John & Nancy Silvestro more

Had backup-service within the hour-knowledgeable/courteous/efficient-unclogged/filmed able to undestand problem and visually confirm. Same day followup with new filming and estimate to resolve future incidents. Have used other plumbers on Long Island over the years and will have Roto-Rooter on my favorites from now on............... more

Roto-Rooter unblocked my drain after the hurricane 9/10/2011

I was lucky enough to have a highly experienced plummer. We had water get into the basement because of a clogged drain, just outside of the basement door. During the hurricane, so much rain came down that a lot of water accumulated at the basement door and seeped into the house. We were not sure if this drain was connected to the sewer or was just a dry well, since we are new owners. The Roto Rooter plumber named John did a thorough investigation, sucked up a load of sand, dirt and leaf debris. He finally after about 30-minutes of persistence was able to unclog the drain and snake it through to the sewer. Let me tell you this will save us a load of dough, because heavy rain would resut in water getting under the basement door. Great job John. more

Excellent Service! 8/24/2011

Yesterday, we had a clogged pipe which caused water to leak everywhere in our basement. We were looking for a great plumber and we certainly found one. Within an hour, Tim showed up at our house. He recognized the problem immediately and gave us a quote up front. He also recogized that our pipes were installed wrong and fixed them for us. He was very thorough and professional. Thanks Tim! If you're looking for a good plumber on Long Island, I definitely recommend Roto-Rooters. more

fast and friendly 8/22/2011

I sent an email to Roto-Rooter and within a half hour received a message on my cell phone. I called back and was told someone would be to my home shortly. Within a half hour the technician arrived. I explained that in two separate bathrooms water was bubbling up. The technician pinpointed the problem immediately. Since I don't have cesspools, he explained there was a blockage in the line. He snaked the main line, the line to the house and the line to the apartment. Within about 15 minutes the problem was resolved. The service was fast, the technician friendly and informative and the result was overflow resolved. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter! more

Our sump pump quit on us. We called and the Customer Service Rep was friendly and courteous. The plumber arrived within an hour and, prior to starting the job, explained our options. The job was completed in good time and then the plumber gave us advice on how to get the most service from the new pump. I recommend Roto-Rooter service and consider them the best plumbing service on Long Island. more

highly recommended 8/15/2011

We had problems with our toilets and Roto-Rooter came by within an hour of calling. The gentleman was personable, friendly and knowledgable. Prices were given up front and there were no extra or hidden costs. I would definitely recommend this company! more
