Yesterday, I had a plumber from Boston who cleared out roots from the pipes and had to take the toilet off to do it. He worked very hard, was very courteous, and I was very pleased with his work. Although I was very surprised at the cost to do the job, and since I am retired on a pension, the plumber was very nice and understood it was a lot of money and suggested that I use root killer twice a year. more

My laundry drain backed up during the evening so I went on-line the next day and was able to make a convenient appointment for after 5:00 the same day. The appointment was confirmed via e-mail immediately and the company called to tell me the technician was on his way which was within the time frame I selected. He showed up exactly when he was suppose to and was courtesy and extremely efficient and clean. Additionally, I asked him to check my other drains and he walked me through why they might be considered slow. I highy recommend this company and services. more

Very good work, the plumber Mike was excellent. Nice to know that the Boston area Roto-Rooter comes to my area. My only complant is the cost. It was a flat rate regardless of the problem. My issue took 15 minutes and I still paid a steep amount. I used them about 10 years ago for a similar issue and I remember my complant being the same. Otherwise , they took care of business and left everything clean. But, because of the cost issue I can only give them 3 stars otherwise it would have been around the five star area. more

On July 27 we had a problem in our secondary septic system and called our regular plumber. Shower,sink and toilet were hardly draining.He removed the toilet and was not able to determine the problem. He believed that there may be tree limbs growing in the pipe. He suggested Roto-Rooter. We called and they came to our Falmouth home within 2 hours. The gentleman who came was very helpful,knowledgeable, polite and very thorough. Indeed it was tree roots that clogged the system.He was able to clear several roots and made sure things were draining well. He said as part of the service a different repair specialist would come the next day to place a camera in the pipe to determine the extent of clearing and if anything else needed to be done. The next day we received a call around noon saying that the camera specialist would be at our house in a half hour and indeed was here within 25 min. Another very knowledgeable,courteous and helpful employee. Showed us where the problem is and suggested we jet the system if further problems arise. This is a basement system that is rarely used and we therefore decided to wait on the jet treatment. However, if any further problems arise we will definitely call Roto-Rooter again and ask for Ed or Ryan We are extremely satisfied with all aspects of the service and information we received and would recommend them in a heart beat. On 7/12/10 my husband and I were almost finished renovating our ""new"" cottage outside of Boston, MA in Falmouth, MA. All of a sudden our septic system backed up into our showers, toilets and sinks. It was an absolute mess. We had our local plumber come out to the house to assess the situation and he told us it was our septic tank and a broken pipe. For six hours our septic company dug up our newly grassed backyard to find it was not the septic tank/pipes. We then called Roto-Rooter who within 20 minutes saved the day - a clogged pipe due to previous owners placing grease down the pipes.
