Rooms To Go

I've never shopped at rooms to go, but if their delivery drivers are any indication, it would be a terrible experience. I live in an apartment complex, and when I was leaving for work this morning, there was a rooms to go delivery vehicle parked behind my car. I informed the delivery personnel that I was needed to leave for work and asked them to move their truck. After going back to my apartment for a jacket and returning, the truck was still behind my car. One of the employees was assembling furniture behind the truck so I asked him to move the vehicle. He replied that he wasn't the driver, but that he had asked the driver to come down and move it. Another employee came down from the apartment they were delivering to and began to verbally assault me, cursing at me and saying that ""I don't care that you have to go to work. I'm at work right now and I have a job to do."" When the third employee, the driver, came down from the apartment, he also began cursing at me and yelling at me to get in my car and wait. All three of them began to curse at me, and the driver invaded my personal space in a very threatening manner. When the driver finally got into the cab of the vehicle, I got into my car so that I could leave for work. He continued to sit in the truck unmoving until I got out my phone to record the DOT permit number to file a complaint. I will NEVER shop at rooms to go, and I cannot believe that any company would endorse this sort of behavior as acceptable. more

I got my couch from here and I couldnt be happier. I feel like I saved a fortune and Ikea just wasnt good enough.\r Ill be using this could for the next 10 years! yay! more

I have purchased my dining room chairs, my living room coach and game room recliner from here. They all were reasonable priced and high quality. We received all of these within a week except for the recliner which was on back order for three weeks. The only con I have is the way the situation is set up with the salesperson lurking around while you look, but at least you can find someone fast with questions. more

I went into this store looking to purchase some furniture and found something I liked but did not know how much money I would qualify for. The sales associate said he could run a quick credit check to see what I qualified for so he did. My family and I decided to wait and not make the purchase. Well today a week later I receive a Credit card in the mail from Rooms To Go. Needless to say I am pissed! No one ever told me i would be applying for a card. It was supposed to be a simple credit check. So now I have to cancel that card with the risk of my credit being downgraded. SO WARNING DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR "" QUICK CREDIT CHECKS ."" BAD BUSINESS.. more

I wish I could rate NO stars. We purchased on 9/10 --- my husband and I wrote a check for our purchase, which is equal to paying cash. It was for approx $1,000. It wasn't a big purchase and we didn't need to finance. On Monday 9/12 we cancelled our purchase. A WEEK LATER OUR SALES PERSON called US to tell us that she left the sale OPEN so we could just come in and pick out something else. THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD JUST KEEP OUR $$$ UNTIL WE PICK OUT SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!! I told her that I would not be back in for a while as we lived out of town. She did that to get her commission or sale or whatever but it did not help us out at all. I had to call and talk to a manager to start the refund process to get our $$$ back. He told me it would take 10 days ---- WHEN MY HUSBAND JUST CALLED THEY SAID 30 DAYS!!!!!!! All this store does is tell lies lies lies. I turned them into the attorney general's office today. They should be able to do a immediate refund when you cancel a order. If not it should take no longer than 7 business days tops!!! They are trying to keep their sales but they have lost a customer as I would NEVER step foot in this store again. more

Bought living room furniture and was talked into buying the warranty which would protect me from food stains and fading, ""great service , since you have a 5 year old"". Got a food stain and called in november 2010 it was january 2011 before a ""field representative came out"" some local contractor. Put Simple Green on the stain,and old english stain on my faded chair and submitted ""fixed"". After the gallon of chemicle dried stain still there, called and then was asked to send in pics, to replace,BUT then ANOTHER non rooms to go rep shows another 2 month and half, cleans it again, NOT,and has to this date 3-30-2011 never been warrantied or replaced,This does not include the countless calls I made, because there is no quality follow up calls from Rooms to go, there plan is for you to just go away. Still have a lovely food stain on my furniture and no one has called or responded to me, to see how my furniture is now. After I paid extra money for there award warranty (scam) STAY AWAY! Spend extra for your furniture, you will be happier longer. STAY AWAY this furniture is low quality in a nice store front, with zero support. more

I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. As a military service member, I will be recommending to the Fort Hood Garrison Commander that this store be placed on the blacklist so other soldiers will not have to face the same horrible experience and damage to their credit report. The store manager ""Calvin"" is very sneaky and conniving. He?s a master of salesmanship and knows all the loop- holes to take and keep your money. Stay away from this store!!!!!!!! more

We've purchased furniture here several times and have always found the staff friendly, helpful, and not pushy. Just like anywhere, there are always a few bad eggs, but I've bought 4 rooms of furniture there at varying times over the past 5 years and have always been delighted. I highly recommend Cathy Wright as a salesperson. She goes above and beyond to help you find what you need and resolve any issues that might arise. Pros: Good furniture and friendly salespeople Cons: None yet more

THIS IS THE WORST customer service i have ever had. i have been requesting a customer service manager to call me and have been told "NO". they are not interested in talking to me. THis place is a complete joke!!! more

I have ordered from Rooms To Go for the first and last time this year. Not only did their "next day delivery" turn into 6 weeks! Their delivery time on Sat. is from 7a - 10p! Serioulsy, a 15 hour window for delivery. That is absurd. Also, watch out when you do financing. We made it very, very clear that we did not want the extra insurance is case we become disabled, but the salesman put it on there anyway - glad you made extra comm. off me. Trust me people, pay the extra money and go to Ashley next time. If you call customer support you (or at least I did) will get an un-happy lady who obviously doesn't want to be there and you have just become a major distraction from whatever magazine she is reading (as I could hear her turning the pages as we talked). I went into one of these stores with my mother looking for a bedroom set for my toddler. We explained what we were looking for and they showed us something totally different and in a really high price range. We decided to just look around ourselves and found a set just like we described. The sales man told us that this set would not be right for us. We were appalled at how he acted and left without anything. I think they just care about their quota and not the customer more
