Rockland M & M Moving and Trucking

I had a terrible experience with this company. Waited all day and they never showed up! I made SEVERAL calls to the owner/manager, Gale, throughout the day and she assured me they were coming, but they were running late because their forklift broke and they couldn not load the truck on time. My last call to Gale was at 4pm and she assured me they would be at my house by 6:30pm. At 7pm they still had not arrived so tried calling Gale again but the office was closed and her voice mail was full! At 8pm I get a call from the delivery driver who says that they would be here in 20 minutes! I told him I waited all day and it is too late in the evening now to deliver a whole house load of stuff! The truck came the next morning and I find out from one of the deliverymen that Gale lied! Their forklift never broke; they had just overbooked! On top of that, some of my stuff was broken. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - TRUST ME - THEY ARE BAD BUSINESS PEOPLE. more

THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. Moving with Rockland Movers was the best experience I've ever had! After moving with a few other companies, I finally found one that accomplished all my needs. The movers were very professional, helpful, punctual, energetic and FAST!!! I had the best service when trying to get information about the move date, prices and last minute requirements with my building. Unlike other companies, they were truly interested in making me happy. The last thing that I expected was a courtesy e-mail from the company asking about the move. Rockland Movers wasn't only about the business but also about the desire to keep a customer happy and I AM HAPPY! more

I just have to say this was a fabulous and 'moving' experience :)! From the sales person Thomes to the movers Dieago and John who moved me out of New York to the wonderful man who moved me in to my new home in Florida, Gorge, to Elinor who handled my acct between coasts, these people were real human beings. They were patient and sensitive to how unsettling it is to uproot yourself, they respectful of my things, they were exceptionally honest and even gave me a refund when at the very last moment I decided not to take some big items. What?s great about them also is they don?t transfer your stuff to other carriers mid- haul. The same guy who leaves NY arrives in California and nothing was missing or broken. I can?t say enough great things about each and every one of them and there is no way I would use anyone else ever again. Bless those boys ! Rockland Movers is definitly the way to go! more

I work for a shipping company and have quite a bit of experience facilitating both local and long distance moves. These guys are definitely unprofessional, rude, provide terrible (if any) customer service, and possibly a scam. more

This was by far he worst experience of our lives!! We called and set up an in home estimate in order to get a guaranteed flat rate. Joe shows up and does a walk through, gives us a binding estimate and then on the day of the move.....what do you know, the price had jumped over a thousand dollars. Sound like you have heard this scam before? They show up, you have no other choice but to pay them because you have to be out of the apt that day so you pay. Our binding quote from Joe was now almost double the cubic sq ft after their movers finished their part of the scam, which we had no choice but to accept to get our home moved. Fortunantly for us, the movers they sub contracted our stuff to, 3rd party, ended up delivering our furniture and gave us the accurate sq ft. They had delivered...lo and behold it was the original sq ft. from the binding quote. Needless to say I called and spoke to Abraham the owner and Joe about this and once I finally got a hold of them, they told me to quit harassing them or they would press charges. Finally after about 3 months of fighting and the threat of getting an attorney involved they had no choice but to refund us some of the money they owed us. In addition, we had payed for extra insurance provided through M&M and we had damages. We contacted the insurance company and they told us that at that time, until M&M took care of some outstanding issues, they would not be taking any more claims. Needless to say, if we ever move back to NY we will not be using these guys. I normally do not take the time to fill out reviews but my wife and I thought this was too important not to say something. Do yourself a favor.....save your time and energy and choose a more honest and reliable mover. more

Moving back from college is almost as big of a pain as moving too. I heard about Rockland M&M Movers from a post card they send out. Eleanor was very friendly, and honest (I didn't need in homes estimator - to little stuff - generally In home estimates are free!) she gave me a great price, called me to confirm my move. They arrived when they had made up, and I got my stuff quite quickly actually. They were honest about pricing and kept there word. They were on time on both occasions. None of my items disappeared or were damaged. I totally recommend and if need to use them again! Thanks! more

I've moved several times over the last 10 years, and have used different moving companies. M&M has been, by far, the best experience. I worked with Thomas Kent, who immediately made me feel comfortable that the move was in the right hands. He knew exactly what I needed, and followed up to ensure that everything was on track! I even needed to move the start time of my move to a time that typically does not get booked - and Thomas made that completely painless! The moving team came right on time, and were extremely professional. They were polite and did not complain or make gratuitous comments or noises (yes, I've seen that happen before!) They were also very thoughtful in the placement of boxes and items - careful not to put anything against the walls and what rooms items were to go into. On top of all of this-- there was no haggling with prices - everything is included as long as you're upfront. There is even some flexibility if you don't know the exact number of boxes or items you have. The price did not change even though I had a few more boxes that originally anticipated. The entire process was very professional and pleasant. I would absolutely use M&M again!!! and recommend anyone and everyone to use them! more

My move went good. Thomas helped me set things up and the movers did the rest. I moved to Miami from NY and i got my stuff in 5 days. Thanks guys more

I am a very Capable Woman but as we get older.. ya know. So I am moving in with my daughter , son in law and CO. My daughter looking for the best movers picked Rockland M&M Moving. Speaking to Roee was a pleasure. He was kind helpful and did not b.s us like other companies. I write this on behalf of myself and daughter for doing most of the work.. great job! more

We just moved locally from Spring Valley to Airmont. I was a bit surprised to see the latest review.. I had a decent experience with them. We did full pack and same day delivery. The price was a bit high but It was worth it. Ps. Miss saunders.. Not all of us sit and write reviews all day. I was actually just asked if I can reference them.. more

THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE MOSTLY FAKE~~~ LOOK AT THE DATES, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME- FROM PROFILES THAT JUST HAPPENED TO BE STARTED THE SAME DAY THEY MADE JUST ONE REVIEW!! THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAM ARTISTS TRYING TO GET YOUR MONEY!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. If you are reading this because you might want to do business with this company THINK TWICE! They are rude, careless- and don't care about your personal property at all!! I've been waiting for my belongings for 2 months, and the only call was from the driver 4 days ago stating he would be here the next day...I don't want ANY ONE to have to go through what our family has- our initial contract was for $1,600 although they duped my father n law into thinking our items were far heavier than the 1,000 lbs we had signed up for- so they upped it to 2200.00 without even contacting my husband or i to let us know. The pick up date was march 28, 2012- and they GUARANTEED by drop off date was between april 19-21 - it's 5/4/2012!!! They have never returned my calls and are the rudest people on the planet!! PLEASE go somewhere else!! Be smart check the Better Business Bureau! more

This move was not too major , but it was a big deal to my kids. We weren't necessarily picky. We just wanted movers to do a decent job quick. Rockland M&M movers seems to have achieved that task. They were very efficient workers. They packed and unpacked all our goods, assembles and disassembled our furniture .. ect. what seemed to be just another move, was unexpectedly and thankfully a relaxing move. more

I used this company to move me and my fam to New York only 65 miles away but they acted as if I was a multi-dollar job. The guys handled and wrapped all my stuff with care which was nich. They asked me if they had questions. more

I moved from NY to AZ and the team came in to pack and load all my belongings. The forman was nice and very polite and the workers handled all my belongings with kit gloves. It took 5 days for the haul they estimated 7-10 due to travel time and all but I got our family items in 5 days. more

To Dave; I don't know y ur move was soo terrible , I moved from NJ to Ohio. I had a quite decent move actually. I did not deal with Thomas- I delt with Eleanor who was pleasant and honest about everything. The movers came in did job and left. I got my stuff 9 days later. more

They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They lied about everything from pickup to delivery. Broke well over 400.00 worth of our belongings. Do not deal with Thomas or the lady that says she is the owner they lie about everything.I have filed a complaint with the bbb and attorney general about this horrible company. I would never use this company again. I am still waiting for a call back from them about all the issues almost a month now. more

I can't believe how easy they made it. These guys are amazing. I have moved so many times and each time cringed over the thought of hiring movers. No longer. hard hardworking, smart, competent guys who were super fast yet super careful. They were polite, respectful of my stuff and there were no surprises, and it was long distance move from Connecticut,. It actually ended up costing right as anticipated and I can't believe how easy they made it. I dont understand the bad review but myself will unreservedly recommend M&M Moving who were a pleasure to deal with from moment go. more

I am surprised that they have such great reviews.. I recently moved from Pennsylvania to Texas and Rockland gave me such a hard time with my move. I have had a very bitter experience with this company and would NEVER RECOMMEND this to anyone. Firstly when i booked for a moving date, they agreed to it and then they called me a day before the move and asked me to change the moving dates to their convenience( this is just the beginning). Though I somehow managed to get the moving date back to the original date, I had to follow up almost every single day to get my stuff on time. The follow up from their side is terrible.My stuff arrived here almost 10 days late than expected..!!! A few of my furniture was damaged and when i tried to contact them for a refund, I never get through them. Every time I call them, I never get to talk to the person whom I had contacted initially..!!! Extremely unprofessional..!!!! The dispatch staff is very rude too. Its been over a month since I requested for a refund for the broken furniture and I still haven't heard from them..!! Very disappointed. more

I needed to move a bunch of items from Miami to W Palm beach . Usually one would get a local company... but Rockland M&M Moving was highly recommended, and since they do come to florida quite often I agreed. I am very pleased with there service. From office staff to the movers, they are all very polite, understanding and care about ur items!! Not a single piece was damaged. I reccomend them to others Great job u guys! more
