Very Professional salon where you are treated like family! 7/10/2008

I've been going to Robert Severo for a few years. Any stylist they put on the floor is professional, friendly, focused. They are cutting edge in style yet adapt to the needs of their clients. Sonia did my hair today and it's the first time in all these years that I sat in her chair. Absolutely amazing! I've only seen 4 people since I had the cut and they have all commented that I look much younger. I'm very picky about my color (I like red, red, red) and Sonia understands it perfectly! more

Hmm Unsure 7/8/2008

I am searching on the web for someone who does japanese hair straightening and came across this one. I see there are a lot of satisfied customers and a few not so much. One thing that bothered me and is preventing me from going is the responses to the bad reviews. Some are downright rude which tells me the people who complained may in fact be right. I am not saying they are, I am just wary now because of the responses you guys give them, as if you were snapping at them for being unhappy. Use of ??? and !! is not a good post custom as is the use of CAPITALS. You should be a bit more careful (even if you feel offended that someone was not satisfied) because you give out a bad vibe when you do this. At least, it's making me doubt and not want to go. Sorry, your staff might be great but your postings are not- just some feedback for you. more

Worst haircut 6/27/2008

I picked this salon because of the reviews. If you have curly hair DO NOT go to this salon. I can't explain how horrible my hair looks from the terrible hair cut I got. My hair is shorter on one side than the other and she cut it short just like I told her NOT to do! How does that happen? Cons: Unskilled more

Great service! 6/23/2008

I was so happy to find a hair salon that was open on a Monday and was able to get me in on such short notice. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I love my hair cut and I felt that my stylist was confident and knew what she was doing. I would definitely recommend Robert Severo salon to anyone. Pros: service, friendly staff, good price, knowledgable staff Cons: a little difficult to find more

Definitely a high-end salon 6/14/2008

My experience at the Severo salon was wonderful and far exceeded my expectations. I had the thermal reconditioning treatment with Sonja and the experience was wonderful. Sonja was very professional and made me feel comfortable as the process lastedd about 6 hours. She paid attention to detail and worked with my hair until it was perfect. I would highly recommend this salon and I will definitely be going back again in the near future. I even drive 2 hours to have the procedure done there and it is well worth the drive! more

A Salon with Integrity! 6/5/2008

I have been a client of Robert Severo for about two years with appointments every five weeks, and have only had great results. I referred my son and my boyfriend and they are also now loyal customers. The stylists don't just listen...we have a conversation about what I want and need. The stylist takes time to ensure that I understand how a process or cut will change the look of my hair because their number one goal is to make certain that I am happy! Awesome guys cuts 5/20/2008

I've grown my hair out, cut it short and everything in between, I've also tried a lot of places around town and I can safely say Robert Severo has definitely treated me the best. Their rates are actually really reasonable especially for the quality of service that they give unlike some of the other ""cutting edge"" places I've been to. Depending on what day of the week I can even get same day appointments, like today I called around 11:30 and had an appointment with David at 2:30 (Great Job by the way!). more

My Salon For About Five Years 9/25/2007

It's funny that we rarely get around to writing a review for a place unless we have a bad experience there. Or maybe it's just me. I just happened to check up on my salon to see how it was doing on here and I am happy to see that their rating is right in line with what they deserve. However, I was disappointed to see some of the negative reviews that they have received...some by people who have never even been a customer of this salon. It doesn't seem right that you should be able to rate a place you haven't experienced yourself. That's just my opinion. Pros: Friendly staff that are great at what they do! Cons: None that I can think of. more

I'm surprised there was even one poor review! 9/3/2007

First of all let me say I am a VERY busy mom. My daughter attends the cooking school next door to the salon and the staff at the salon were more than accomodating so that I could get my hair cut and styled before having to pick up my child. The price was LESS than I expected. The stylist, Jessica, washed my hair and even spent the extra time to give me a scalp massage. I was extremely comforatble the whole time. I am sure that had I not been, if I told someone, they would have went above and beyond to make me happy. There weren't a lot of stylists working the day I was there either (Friday) but I found this refreshing. It was peaceful not to have a ton of people all getting cuts at the same time. This isn't SUPERCUTS! Pros: Staff was exceptional! more

Wow--Really Need Work on Your Customer Relation Skills 7/22/2007

I have been searching for a new hair stylist in Orlando, and have used the Internet as one of my sources. When reading the reviews for the ?best salons? I was shocked to see the response from your company to the review ?not the best of.? The way your company responded to this customer?s complaint is completely and utterly unprofessional, and has made up my mind to not consider your salon when finding my next stylist. Hopefully this will help you understand the importance of how you handle a customer complaint?i.e. not by bashing them on the Internet for everyone to read. more

Great Look, Very Happy amd my Husband sends his THANKS!!! 7/8/2007

I could not be more happy with my new look. (and my husband) I went to Robert Severo's with a few photo's and some kind of idea of what I wanted. The stylist (Sonja) took her time to make sure that my ideas were right for me. After she was done, I could of not been more happy with my new look. I like the vibe that I revieved when I arived (after a 45min drive, that I am happy I took the time to do) while I was there, everybody was great and the air was relaxing and happy. The girls behind the sceens working together to make sure my needs were meet. Again thank for a great style and a great time. Client for life...Lisa Pros: Staff was great! Not the best of 6/29/2007

I went to this Salon b/c it was Best of Citysearch. It really isn't. I got there and my appointment was lost, even though someone had called and left a message on my machine confirming my appt. The atmosphere was ""lets pretend we are a really nice salon"" when in reality, It need a facelift. All that aside, the girl that washed my hair pulled strands of hair out as she was washing my hair, and got the back of my shirt wet, all the way down to mid-back. Oh wait, that isn't the best part, I had to sit in the wash chair with my neck stretched out to the right...the chair wasn't lined up with the sink. My neck hurt for two days after. Finally, my stylist started cutting my hair, by the way, there is only one stylist as far as I could tell. I was really disappointed b/c she had the shampoo girl doing most of the work...all the stylist did is cut my hair. The shampoo girl dried my hair, which took an hour b/c she was doing only a few strands at a time. She was really slow and I was afraid she was going to yank some more hair out. I honestly believe they were more about number of cuts they can do in an hour than quality and customer service. I will never go back again and I highly do not recommend this place to anyone. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, exceptional service! A+ 6/29/2007

As someone who takes my style very seriously (shouldn't we all?), I know how hard it is to find somewhere where you truly feel comfortable in ""the chair."" Well, let me tell you, this is one such place. I've done some modeling before, and the time and care that Andrea (love her!) put into my overall visit was definitely top shelf. Julie (i believe...she was at the front desk) was busy taking calls and such, but still had time to personally welcome me. Fast food is nice, and who doesn't love drive-up ATMs? Convenience and speed are commonplace these days; but genius still takes time. Rome wasn't built in a day, and Andrea made me feel like I was the only one in the salon (even though there were about 4 or 5 other people getting things done; nails, color, cuts...etc). While my color was setting, Julie offered me something to drink, and I started talking with the other people and staff in the salon; it truly felt like family. Everyone seemed friends, and I didn't feel like I was stuck in a snooty $500 a cut chop shop. I even had the chance to speak with the owner, Robert Severo, himself. Professional appearance and demeanor about him, he personally welcomed me and asked if there was anything he could do. I assured him Andrea had everything taken care of. After finishing my cut and style (I had a lot of hair, so it took a bit, let me tell you), she even had time to give me a touch up on my eyebrows. She's a regular Jill of all trades. :-) A little wax here, a little pull there. Voila! I looked like a million bucks. I feel like I went from the Geico caveman to Jude Law, just like that. You rock, Andrea! Pros: Friendly staff, Atmosphere, Parking, Ease of Scheduling, Skill, Service Cons: none! :D more

Worth every cent 6/17/2007

I've been in the process of growing my naturally curly hair out for over a year, and came across this salon while doing research on thermal reconditioning, a permanent form of hair straightening. The day of my appointment, I was tended to immediately, and was asked if I would like anything to drink while I waited to be taken care of. Everyone called me by name, and made sure that I was doing well during the entire treatment, which lasted just over seven hours long. The staff was incredibly friendly, and made me feel at home. The stylist who took care of me, Sonya was very friendly and knowledgeable about her craft, and it was a pleasure to have her work on my hair (which was a nightmare prior to my appointment). After performing the treatment, Sonya was able to tame my curls and give me sleek straight hair...something that I've been waiting over a year for. Becuase of my hair type, the price was a little costly, but I can honestly say that it was worth every single cent, and I will continue going to Robert Severo for my hair treatments! Pros: Great atmosphere, wonderful, highly skilled staff. Cons: None. more

I WAS LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT HAIR COLORIST , HAIR DRESSER ETC. AFTER SOME SEARCHING I ENDED UP IN THIS SALON AND I TOTALLY LOVED THE WAY MY HAIR LOOKS . ANDREA YOU ROCK . SHE TOOK HER TIME TO EXPLAIN AND TO ASK EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED . VERY FRIENDLY STAFF . FELT LIKE A MILLION BUCKS WHEN I LEFT. U GOT A CLIENT FOR LIFE! YOU GUYS ROCK! Wow, I just love false advertising! I read on their website that they offered acryllic and gel manicures and fills. I drove about twenty miles to this salon thinking it would be wonderful based upon my research and reading reviews. When I walked in the door, I was looked up and down like I was a piece of trash. Then, when I asked if they offered gel manicures, they said ""NO"" as if I was deaf and I immediately walked out. What a waste of time, gas, and energy. Maybe I should have called them beforehand, but I was so excited about this so called ""Best Salon of Orlando"" and the outcome was anything but. I've seen much better places in better locations, and I've definitely experienced a nicer staff elsewhere. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know and I will not return. I'm just happy I didn't waste my money by giving it to them. Pros: .... hmmm.... Cons: Small place, rude staff, false advertising about their services! more

DONT EVER GO TO THIS SALON. The stylists are so rude and have no clue what theyre doing. I could do a better job myself for free then any of these people. Worst Experience 6/4/2007

For me the worst experience is when you go to a salon and they do whatever they want to your hair. I came to this salon with a picture and the stylist did whatever she wanted to my hair. I ended up looking like Marge Simpson, plus I had to pay $80 for a bad haircut. There was also a lot of pressure to buy their hair products. I have been to other salons that for $35 they make me look like Pocahontas. My recommendation is, save your money and your hair and go somewhere else. This salon offered average results and very expensive prices. Cons: Too expensive for average results. more
