Poor 3/16/2010

I'm glad to see that Robert Paul Tv is going out of business. I never had one good thing happen when dealing with them. I should've known better to chase after a radio ad (Dan Barrierio). I paid cash, thinking I might receive better service, but the service was poor at best. They had the audacity to bring me the floor model for 46"" LG LCD I bought. I didn't discover it until they were gone. I found scratches all over, but worse, porn had been recorded to the DVR. They did replace it, but that was another day off from work. They added the wires for stereo, and Tv, but not HD wiring. THey also put in wires for a vcr, but not a dvd player. What a disaster. You get what you deserve. Cons: ALL more

For 20+ years, as good as it gets...better actually!!!!!!! 9/18/2009

In 1985, I showed up at Robert Paul TV after being lied to by more than one of the large chain stores. Ben (the current owner) helped me that day. I bought my first big screen TV from Ben on the spot. They delivered my TV the same day and set it up so that a few hours after visiting their store, I was enjoying Wimbledon tennis on a big screen.\r \r A couple of times I strayed and tried one of the big chain stores or purchased stuff on-line. Each time I ended up wishing I had stuck with Robert Paul.\r \r The folks at Robert Paul TV really know what they are talking about. I have never been pressured or felt like they were ""up selling."" Since that day back in 1985, I have purchased every sort of audio/video gear under the sun from Robert Paul TV. I have never regretted a single purchase. I wish that I could say the same for other purchases that I have made over the years.\r \r I find the negative comments very hard to believe. After dozens of purchases, I have never had any unpleasant, unprofessional, discourteous, or negative experiences of any kind!\r \r Within the next few weeks, I am going to be purchasing a 46 inch HD LCD TV for in front of my treadmill…best way to watch college football ever!!!! Guess where I am going to get my TV…yep, Robert Paul.\r Pros: Price, product knowledge, service, and attitude Cons: Haven't found any in the 20+ years more

what a joke and never again 6/30/2009

Bought a 50"" plazma and blew the power supply, called with the problem and they said it was still under warranty ""wrong"" They never told me it wont be covered but they still ordered parts for the repair anyway, I called to check the status after a week and it was then they told me it wont be covered under warranty but will have the parts in about a week and will cost $400-500 to fix. I chose Robert Paul when I made my purchase for added value for after sale service over a box store but with lack of support and cheap ways to make a buck I think any store would support you better or at least tell you up front what is going on. I would never recommend Robert Paul for anything Pros: know the product Cons: service is a joke more

Robert Paul TV gets an A+ from me 2/9/2009

I was very impressed with their service. I bought a new TV from them. They came and installed the new TV and took away the giant heavy old TV that I had (for a reasonable fee). After that I thought of a bunch of questions and called them a few times throughout the day. They were friendly, polite and very informative. I would most definitely recommend them and would go back to them without a doubt. Pros: Same day service for new TV more

Slow and not helpful 1/8/2007

I brought my television to Robert Paul and it took them three weeks before they even looked at it. The tv was obviously having a problem with it's power supply because it would shut itself off and on. After the television was there for three weeks and I had heard nothing, only then did they bother to look at it. Magically after sitting there for three weeks, they couldn't find anything wrong with it. ""The tv works fine!"" I'm out $50, which is what they charge to simply look at the tv and that is not refundable. I called prior to bringing my set out there and they didn't bother to tell me about the $50 charge, so after hauling the set across town, I wasn't about to haul it back home. To add insult to injury, they were simply rude when I called them to talk about the problems and couldn't they continue to test it. If the tv acts up in the next 30 days, then they claim they wouldn't charge me to bring it back. I doubt I will bring it back even if I do have problems with it again. I would never recommend their service. Pros: Not difficult to find Cons: Slow for service, just simply rude. more
