I've been taking my pets to Dr. Kepner now close to six years. He takes his time with you and explains everything very well to you so that you understand the underlying cause and what to expect. He is gentle with the pets and definitely knows his stuff!! Yes, he is a bit more expensive than other vets, but my feeling is, you get what you pay for! I know my pets are getting quality care when I take them to Dr. Kepner and I'm so glad I found him! more

Dr. Kepner is a wonderful doctor and has fantastic, efficient staff. I've worked in a vet office before with excellent doctors, but he honestly surpasses them. Dr. Kepner takes the time to get to know not only the reason your animal is there for the appointment, but he takes the time to get to know your animal and their health history from the start. I have never been held up waiting for an appointment, nor have I ever felt rushed out the door. Dr. Kepner gives you a full explanation of the diagnosis and treatment and writes up complete take home instructions if needed to ensure that quality care is given to your pet at home. The prices are beyond fair considering the excellent care, service and medical technology given to your pet. more

Scott and his staff are excellent. They really care for the animals that visit their clinic. They give personal care and make every effort to make your pet as comfortable as possible. Scott explains everything in detail, will show diagrams if necessary. Listens to your concerns and helps you decide what the best treatment for your pet would be. I have to say Chris is one of his best employees, she cares as much as he does for the animals. Vicki is awsome too. They have taken care of all of our dogs, I wish I would have known about Scott and Riverview Animal Hospital when I had my cat. It is expensive to properly care for a pet, but the expense is worth it. Our pets give us so much! I would highly recommend Scott Kepner and his staff to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable and professional vet clinc. The clinic is very clean also. My dogs will walk right in the door and greet the staff as if they live there, they are never scared or nervous to return! Thank you Riverview Animal Hospital for taking such good care of our dogs!! Outstanding vet. Great pet side manor, caring, knowledgable and on top of his profession. Spends time and is extremely through in evaluation. Is careful not to prescribe unnecessary prescriptions and cause otherwise unnecessary expenses. This guy is one in a thousand, definitely not one of the production line places were they might examine your pet and fail to notice it is dead. I have been searching for five years for someone this competent in Vancouver. Scott is one of the best vets I've ever run across....he explains everything he's doing, makes sure we understand all the instructions for care of the dogs at home, and best of all, REMEMBERS the dogs and all their little quirks. I can't imagine people complaining about the cost...do they have any idea how much up-to-date equipment COSTS? How about insurance and employee expenses? Frankly, I'd be concerned if the doctor didn't charge enough, and I've walked out of more than one animal clinic because things looked shabby and dirty. Not for my kids, no way. more

I personally did not feel listened to by the staff or the doctor. Too expensive. Animal Care Clinic on Chaklov is much more reasonable. Prices are outrageous. I don't even spend that kind of money on my medical bills. The doctor was nice enough and I don't doubt he cares about animals, but I won't be returning to his office. more

Scott, has a way of working with his customer and animal client like I have never experienced with any other I have dealt with. I have been a loving dog owner all my life and Scott has always gone above and beyond while caring for my dogs Mele and Jackson. I was very happy with the quality of professional service I recieved at the Riverview Animal Clinic. Dr. Kepner was sensitive to my dog's needs and I felt confident in his opinions. I specifically told the secretary that my dog would need a muzzle when he gets his nails clipped. I asked her to relay this to the Scott Kepner. The information wasn't relayed, so I told him myself that he would need a muzzle. He stated it should be fine without one, so he proceeded and found that a muzzle really was necessary. He had the nerve then to tell me that it should really be relayed that my dog has difficulty getting his nails clipped. I felt like screaming. I also thought it was absurd that I was charged over a hundred dollars for an initial visit with my other dog who just needed his shots. His prices overall are outrageous. No wonder he can afford to put about five ads for his practice in the yellow pages. Cons: Expensive more
