This clinic has undergone some major changes and I would definitely recommend anyone give them a chance. The vets there are knowledgeable and friendly and the staff provides great customer service. Dr. Schmidt has been a well-respected vet in the Pasadena area for many many years and has always treated me and my pets very well. The prices are also competitive with other clinics in their area. I highly recommend Richey Animal Clinic. more

this place can either make you happy or mad. their prices are affordable sometimes and the vet is a nice person. the only problem i had was with the people on the front desk. they are very rude and sometimes ignore you for a while. they also hate it when you ask questions and answer you with an attitude. i don't think i would be coming here if they didn't have a nice vet. more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE 1/24/2012

My dog had worms and didnt want to wait to take him to a vet so I decided to take him here winch was closer. I was the only one there and two vet techs came in and asked me questions then took a stool sample. THEN one tech asked if I had any other concerns I had so SHE could tell the Vet.and I stated he was chewing on his feet lately and it seemed because of anxiety A few moments later on tech came back and had a script for steroids and other stuff for his chewing. WHAT THE HELL ? The vet NEVER came out to look at him ! so why give the dog pills for something you assume is the problem? that was an easy 120.00 for her... Im NEVER going back! .and the meds they gave him didnt work more

I own Richey Animl Clinic 1/4/2011

First of all, I know Dr. Wilkes was a great Veterinarian and nobody can fill his shoes.\r \r Second of all, I own Red Bluff Animal Hospital as well and feel free to check my reviews. I have high standards of how I want patients and their "children" treated. \r \r Third, Dr. Sierra is no longer employed at Richey.\r \r Dr. Briles is a great doctor and we worked well the first year. Unfortunately, things didn't work out well the second year and we parted ways. I have nothing negative to say about him and wish him well.\r \r This brings me to my point, I want high quality care and medicine for clients. Most great veterinarians are already employed so I am having a hard time finding one that practices the way I believe they should meaning treat all clients equally, fairly, in a timely manner, with the highest quality medicine at a fair price. I won't quit until I can find a veterinarian and employees that can do this.\r \r As for being put on hold for 15 minutes, our phone system beeps non-stop more

I am the owner of Richey 1/4/2011

First of all, I know Dr. Wilkes was a great Veterinarian and nobody can fill his shoes. Second of all, I own Red Bluff Animal Hospital as well and feel free to check my reviews. I have high standards of how I want patients and their ""children"" treated. Third, buying a veterinary clinic is extremely expensive and running one is expensive as well. Dr. Briles is a great doctor and we worked well the first year. Unfortunately, things didn't work out well the second year and we parted ways. I have nothing negative to say about him and wish him well. This brings me to my point, I want high quality care and medicine for clients. Most great veterinarians are already employed so I am having a hard time finding one that practices the way I believe they should meaning treat all clients equally, fairly, in a timely manner, with the highest quality medicine at a fair price. I won't quit until I can find a veterinarian and employees that can do this. As for being put on hold for 15 minutes, our phone system beeps non-stop after only one minute. The office is small so I don't believe the receptionist could have stood the continuous beeping for 15 minutes. I am wondering if there was something wrong with the phone line or something along those lines. I would love another opportunity to show how we have improved since your last visit and you can come by Red Blufft to see how we treat patients as well. You can always voice any complaints to me personally at Red Bluff Animal Hospital. Thank you, Dr. Steve Sullivan more

After 9 years as a satisfied customer 6/18/2010

After the original vet sold this Hospital it has fallen into a over priced clinic with a revolving door of vets and techs. \r \r I hope that the new owners realize that Dr. Brilles is the only reason people come back to this clinic.\r \r But after being placed on hold for over 15 minutes I realized that it was time for a change.\r \r I now will save money and have a caring clinic closer to my home. Pros: Dr. Brilles Cons: Staff turnover and prices more

After 9 years as customer 6/18/2010

I have been a satisfied customer for many years. Despite the large amount of changes when The great vet from A&M retired. The new owners bought a new sign and raised the prices through the roof. The vet tech I loved also left. Dr. Brilles is a wonderful vet and deserves to work in a Hospital that appreciates that he is the only reason why anyone would want to come back to Richey Animal Clinic. The last straw was being placed on hold for 15 minutes. If it had been an emergency my pet would be dead. In less than 15 minutes I found a new clinic and it is closer to my home and the prices are 30% less. If you like to pay more and get less than this is the perfect Clinic for you! Pros: Dr. Brilles Cons: Turnover of techs and increased prices more
