This is the best Italian restaurant in town. While eating dessert, I died and went to canoli heaven .

I drove past it for years and never tried it until one day we went there on a whim. It is now by far my favorite Italian restaurant! The food is great. The service is great. Don't get me started about how delicious the fresh bread is. If I had the money to go out every week, I'd be there! more

Great neighborhood gem!! This place has been here forever in Tempe and the food and service is outstanding. My husband and our friends have come here for special occasions several times over the years. We prefer the bar lounge section and our favorite waiter is Rafael and the big tall busser. They are so accommodating and I have tried a diff dish everytime I have gone without any disappointments...great value for what you get, it is reasonably priced and has a very homey feel! Highly recommend! more

This restaurant was recommended to us by the gal at the front desk of our hotel and we couldn't be happier. This is definitely not one of the tourist places, but should be. Nick and Eric (who was training) did a great job serving us. Never missed a beat. My husband had the ravioli combo and loved it. I had the Chicken Marsala with Fettuccini Riazzi (Alfredo sauce) and couldn't stop eating it. I am Italian and this takes a place at the top of my favorites in the USA. more

I went to college in walking distance from Little Italy in Cleveland, OH and was sad to find that AZ had so few Italian restaurants! I was thrilled to find Riazzi's. All I ever get here is pasta, meatballs, and red sauce and they are delicious - just what I got used to in Little Italy. more

When my mom was high school she worked at Riazzi's in their old location. (Torn down looooooong ago.) The same people who owned it then, own it now. Growing up Riazzi's was always a constant part of my restaurant experience. (The owners remember my mom and she still talks to them when we go.)\r They have great food, made from old family recipes. I have always enjoyed the chicken piccata and chicken marsala. I like the red wine, the bread and desserts. Riazzi's is a true Italian family restaurant that has been a part this community for many years, and for a good reason: They are great at what they do. \r It's local, it's real, it's my kind of place. more

The food was very good as well as the service. However, the atmosphere needs an update. Definitely an older crowd. more

Birthday Dinner. My wife and I ate here tonight to celebrate her birthday. She ordered the gnocchi with meatballs and tomato sauce and really enjoyed it. The sauce seemed homemade and the meatballs large. I had the chicken marsala. It was very aromatic when it arrived and the flavor was very intense. There were plenty of large fresh mushroom slices covering two generous portions of chicken breast plus a side of pasta with alfredo. We got a cannoli to go and shared it at the park. I can still taste the cream on my lips, literally! We just walked back in the house and wanted to write this review right away. The service was great, without overdoing it. The bread was warm, soft and tasty. Salad was basic the the blue cheese dressing on it was excellent, very chunky! Food was very good. Price was $39 before tip, 2 entrees and desert, no drinks. What more do you want?? Eat there! more

Stumbled upon this place and will definitely be back for our next visit. We happened to arrive rather early (4:30 p.m.) and so were a little concerned when we were the only patrons there. But, more people began to trickle in. Our food was delicious and satisfying, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very comforting. It was quiet and felt a little like you were back in the 60's (which was before MY time, by the way)! The food was classic Italian and tasted extremely fresh. more

50-State traveler experience here, and I always stay in nearby hotels so I can dine at this historic location. The awesome bartender Chris has worked here for 40-years... Yes, 40! more

I love this place. It's like stepping back in time in the best way. My boyfriend and I ate there last night and it was delicious. They make their own salad dressings. The antipasti salad was huge and yummy. I had the half and half ravioli and it was so good. Took the leftovers for lunch today and it was STILL good. Fresh hot bread at the table too. Our waitress was awesome and the hostess was a sweetheart. We will definitely be back. It's so nice to find a place with some character in Tempe that doesn't break the bank. Can't wait to try the desserts- we were just so stuffed by the end of our meal, we couldn't handle it. more

This is our family's ""special occasion"" place. \r It is ""old fashioned' in decor, but the rest of the place is also ""old school"" which translates to professional service, home cooking and a trained bartender who actually knows how to properly mix drinks! \r We also enjoys the music selection which is again ""old school"" with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and others to set the mood. \r So, if you're looking for a trendy, ""hipster"" place, this ain't it. \r But our family loves it. more

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had west of New England. Thoroughly satisfied with everything I ever order from Riazzi's. I highly recommend this restaurant, they do Italian food right. more

First time here. Family owned for over 40 years. The cheese ravioli was awesome. Perfectly cooked and thick. Meatballs were great. The lasagna was delicious. The chicken Parmesan was great. The outside was crunchy, not soggy. I would come back if we lived here!! I highly recommend this place. more

I love this restaurant! I have been eating at Riazzi's since 1975. I remember requesting it for my birthday dinner the year I turned 13! The recipes are family recipes and they taste just as good as ever! My favorites are the chicken marsala, chicken diavola, eggplant parmesan, fettucine alfredo, scarpel soup, minestrone and the antipasto salad for 2! The cocktails are generously poured! Don't skip dessert...the cannolis are fantastic! more

Authentic!!. My family began visiting Riazzi's back at their Phoenix location on Van Buren & 52nd St. back in the late 70's to early 80's. Their food was excellent then just as it is in their Tempe location we visit occasionally now! Their antipasta salad & pizza is to die for! more
