We went on Thanksgiving day and had to wait 1.5 HOURS AFTER OUR RESERVATION TIME for our food. Then the food was mediocre at best! Some manager came around and asked us if it was ok, and we said we were disappointed, and the mgr didn't seem to care! I said something to the waitress and the waitress told us that they have a hard time keeping mgrs and that they were all new and inexperienced and hadn't worked a major holiday before at rheinlander. Then to top it all off, we picke rheinlander specifically to hear singing and music and we didn't even see a musician (we like the heavy set blonde guy) let alone hear any singing. I guess the new mangament has it under control! We won't go back! \r
UDATE:\r
I said we won't go back, but we thought we would give them a try again thinking it was a bad night, WRONG!!!!!\r
\r
Went there on 12/23/10\r
had reservations for 7pm, didn't get seated till 7:45, didn't bring fondue until after we ordered, food came @ 8:30, cold, schnitzles were so dark we thought they were burned. fav accordion player wasn't there again (short, heavy blonde guy) mgmt apperently cut his hours to 1 night a week. In an economy where restaraunts are competeing for $$$$, I will take my german dinner $$ to Otto & Anita's. The food is always good, it is operated by the owners (Mom & Dad cook, daughter waits tables) only problem is no accordion player. maybe the guy from Rheinlander should go there....
