Revel

I hosted my daughter's bridal shower in 4/7/13 with 32 guests at The Revel. They assigned only 1 waitress to our party.When we arrived, the setup was so tight that 5 guests had to remain standing. It took them about 25 minutes to set up an extra table. Our contract included unlimited White Sangria and it was never served. The party was from noon to 3 pm. We were promised food will be served within the first hour so that games could be played and gifts can be opened after that. The food was served 2 hours and 35 minutes late. The food came out for three to four guests at a time so our party could not eat together. Some guests were leaving at the end of the party and others still did not get their food. A few guests had to leave by the time their food arrived and didn't even get to eat.\r \r When the cake came out, the waitress did not bring cake plates. It took a long time and many requests to get the plates so we can have cake. Many guests wanted coffee but it was never served and we asked many times. I got up and walked towards the kitchen to get my own coffee.\r \r Same night of event, I emailed Manager Michael Georgoulakos advising him of the above and & I asked to be compensated. He never replied. I followed up with many phone calls. On April 8th I spoke to Manager Lourdes Bejasa & left a message with her for Michael to call. She asked what went wrong & I told her.I asked her the name of the owner, She said Paola Secondo. I asked her to have him call me back. When nobody called back, I called again on April 10th & left message with Manager Tom. I called again on April 11th and spoke to Lourdes again, this time she was rude and hung up on me. On April 12th, I called 3 times, a waiter answered & kept saying Michael was too busy to come to the phone. On my 4th attempt, Michael finally came to the phone. He offered to comp me with a free dinner for two. I asked to be credited for partial charge.and he laughed at me. He said he'll speak to the owner and get back to me but he never did.\r \r Does the owner Paola Secondo know his managers are LAUGHING at their customers?\r \r Our party was a DISASTER and nobody from the Revel wants to recognize that fact.\r more

Love the brunch here--it's always nice to find a new brunch spot and especially one that is so affordable. It's also great that you can sit in their patio any time of year no matter the weather. I highly recommend their Little west omelet or french toast. more

everyone needs to hit up their new alfresco weekend brunch. went there this weekend and it is SUCH a good deal. Only $25 for an entree and two cocktails. normally that's what i spend on just two drinks! more

perfect for those days when you're needing a good, cheap drink after a long day. and it's in the best neighborhood for going out. so many attractive people here...definitely wanna look your best when you show up! more

a lot of really great and fresh salads here! who says you have to load up on carbs when eating italian? lol more

started going to revel this summer thanks to a close colleague. nights here always start off as happy hour then quickly turn into adventures. really great prices for this neighborhood and they have good food too. it's one of those places you can go to for drinks and a night out or a good dinner with a glass of wine. more

You never really get tired of. Such a big menu you can literally try something different every time and be satisfied. more

are always being had at Revel! You can find me here most weekend nights and the occasional weekday evening. I love it that much! It's definitely a place where people go dressed to impress--so show up in your finest attire ready to enjoy awesome drinks and even better food. more

all of the food here is soooo delicious. it's nice to go to a place where you can start off with a good meal then stay for some drinks and late night fun. delicious artichoke salad, yummy mussels, good penne vodka and the sirloin is outta this world. if you don't try their chocolate velvet cake you are seriously missing out. more

No joke, this is where you need to be Thursday, Friday, Saturday night...shoot even the weekdays it's pretty bumpin' here. Always good times at revel. more

It's pretty cool to come here for a night out, listen to awesome music and hang out in an overall cool space (the garden area is LEGIT) then be able to stumble there the morning after for brunch. My personal fave is the little west omelet. Their home fries are out of this world! more

High energy weekend nights - but calm perfect evenings and/or brunches. Apple stuffed Ravioli is NOT TO BE MISSED! DJs are good on Fridays/Saturdays and keep the crowd going. The garden has a retractable roof which makes you feel like you're outside in the winter..but you're actually OUTSIDE when the weather is good. Fun spot - not your typical meatpacking district place. Good prices - good location. more

First of all, this place has one of the coolest and most original atmospheres in town, with a retractable glass roof over the brick-wall garden in the back, a long bar, and still a comfortable, cozy feel. I went with a group of friends, and our waitress was so friendly and attentive of our needs throughout the entirety of the evening. The food is not cheap, but still on the cheaper end, compared to the other spots in this neighborhood, and considering that the portions are all generous, and in some cases even abundant. And did I mention DELICIOUS?!?!? Everything was fresh and satisfying, and the menu itself is fun and inspiring-- with an incredible wine-list to boot! The meats and fishes we tried were awesome, as well as the side dishes, and the pastas were homemade and yummy as well. All around, we had a great evening, and by the time we wrapped up dinner, the place was fully packed, and a whole new, wild part of the night seemed to be just beginning.. Will have to go back for a late night of drinking and dancing soon, but will certainly return for dinner as well. Pros: Ambiance, Menu, Service, People, Drinks Cons: Nope more

this place is fantastic...i went to dinner at Revel with friends last weekend and we cannot wait to go again...it has great character to it and the garden adds a really nice touch. The food was very good but the drinks were even better!
