Dear Dr. Skellenger, \r
I wanted to thank you for your kindness in taking care of Paco. You were so kind and caring of our feelings, as well as your care of her. I hope you don't feel slighted because we made the decision to take her to Texas A&M for the necropsy. They said they could use her tissues for future research, and if we could help in any way to further the research of this horrible disease we felt we should. They can also do testing on the rest of our birds after the first of the year, testing blood and feces, to see if there is any trace of the PDD, etc. The pain we feel is tremendous, as well as the fear we have for all the rest of our birds. Paco's mate keeps calling for her, which i also very hard. But I thank you for all our help, deep concern for her and your caring for Mark & I, the reassurance that we did all we could was some comfort.\r
We think the world of you and have recommended you to our friend... who also has birds 38 to date. I’m sure she will be in touch with your office should the need arise. Please have a wonderful and safe holiday... And thank you again.\r
Much Thanks,\r
Marty and Betsy Scott
