Malpractice - Do not trust your animals to this clinic! 3/22/2011

This is a sad excuse for animal care. I took my cat to be neutered and declawed. When I went to pick him up only his front to feet were declawed (I asked for all 4 to be done) also while I did not know this at the time but he was not neutered. They put him under again and finished the declawing. I was charged for the neuter as well. One year later and my cat was leaving little urine drops around. I took him to another clinic closer to my home and upon examination he was found not neutered!!! The doctor at the new clinic wrote a letter stating that he was found not neutered etc. When I began telling people about this one of my friends let me know that she knew someone whom had taken a puppy to Reese Clinic to be spayed. The puppy died of an overdose in their care. A 6 pound puppy was given anesthesia for a 20 pound dog!! Malpractice at it's worst! Please DO NOT TRUST YOUR ANIMALS TO THESE PEOPLE!!! more

Affordable, caring service for your pet 8/17/2010

From the front office staff to the doctor himself, the best veterinary care in the county! But, I do make it a point to schedule my animal's appointments with Dr. Reese and not one of the associates. Not that anyone of them ever treated us badly, I just trust Dr. Reese to deliver the best care at an affordable price. If you care about your pets, you'll bring them here! more

Wouldnt go anywhere else!! 8/16/2010

We have taken our dogs to the Reese Veterinary Clinic for approximately 25 years. The doctors, technicians, and office staff have continually been top-notch every single time. I can't begin to imagine any of the negative things posted here ever happening at Dr. Reese's office.\r We took our first dog there because of a friend's recommendation. We have moved since, and there are other veterinarians much closer to our home. However, Reese Veterinary Clinic is worth the drive. I would never take my dogs anywhere else. They are knowledgeable, kind, considerate, compassionate people. \r As I said before - top notch all the way. more

Loyal customer 7/2/2010

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Reese for 18 years, HE is wonderful, although some of the other vets he has had working with him in the past are not so great! Maybe that's why they are no longer there. Dr. Reese himself has NEVER tried to perform unnecessary procedures or give unnecessary meds to my dogs. He is always understanding and helpful when cost is an issue. Unfortunately in those 18 years I have had two of my "babies" put down and the staff was very understanding and compassionate. As far as cleanliness and numerous pets running around the office, are you sure you were at the same place? They have one office cat to my knowledge and occasionally an employee's pet will be behind the desk, but they are never in the waiting area. Usually there isn't a long wait the see the doctor, but just like MD's, they sometimes have emergencies that cause a waiting period. I would never change vets and for the last 13 years I have driven 15 miles for my pets because we've moved rather th more

Very positive experience 4/19/2010

I was somewhat surprised by the negative reviews as well, but I know everyone's experience is different- especially when you are in such a traumatic situation as your pet being extremely ill. My situation was nothing but positive. I struggled to find an avian vet, new to the area, for my bird who was regurgitating on everything. They fit me in immediately for an emergency appointment. I actually went to the wrong office, so flustered and Dr Reese waited for me, 20 minutes late. He was so gentle and informative about my bird. The bill was very reasonable for what we had done, and the medication. He even checked the next day with me personally. Since then, I have followed up and immediately received a response on my questions. My little guy is not over the hump yet, but definitely better. more

Needs Improvement in Receptionist Customer Service 12/26/2009

I personally think the office is as clean as it could be considering all the animals that go in and out each day. It would be impossible to keep it 100%sterile. I am satisfied with the staff, price and the vet doctors. However, the customer receptionist service is horrible. I've called several times to arrange an appointment after the phone ringing a million times, just to be put on hold for eternity. I've hung up on situations like this just for it to happen again! I've also called on Saturdays or after hours with the knowledge that it will be an answering machine to take my message, just to run into the phone ringing twice then making a horrible beeping sound that last a few seconds. It can be very frustrating. Once I'm there, its okay, but the customer representatives, or answering service they need to improve on, or get another answering machine. I wonder how many customers they've missed out on because of this. This is not necessarily negative, but rather positive if taken with co more

Reese Veterinary Clinic is the best place to take your pet! 11/20/2009

We have been taking all our pets to Dr. Reese for at least 15 years. He is a great vet and very friendly. He has kept our pets in good health and we have never had a problem with him. The entire staff is wonderful, they all know us and are very friendly. Our dog Noel has a lifelong condition that requires frequent check up's, we are at the office a lot so we know what we are talking about! Definitely recommend Reese Veterinary Clinic more

COLD INHUMAINE 3/16/2009

I took my cat which was breathing heavy and her eye was swollen and one of the vets i wont say who, felt around her neck and found a lump, and he/she said it was probably a tumor and that's why she was breathing heavy, he/she then poked a needle in her "tumor" at least five times, last try finally got blood, they did the blood work and told me basically nothing, i got straight to the point and asked what could be done and if we should put her down, i wasn't gonna put her through chemo and whatever else she's 13, and this was such a sudden shock so i made a choice right then to get it over with, two more assistants come in immediately and start to fill the needle, they slide me a piece of paper to sign and ask how I'm going to pay, i had no money on me at the time and this was our vet for 13 years, i told them to just bill me and they said they couldn't.. any pet owner knows how they would be feeling at this point so i just picked her up and told them I'd be in in the next few days when more

BAD SERVICE 7/25/2008

Not one thing in the process of having my cat fixed and declawed went right with this clinic. I was quoted a price at the time of booking the appointment. when I arrived on the day of the appointment, I was quoted a price that was $50 more than the original price. I went through with the procedure because I did not want to put my cat through another transport in the car that was unnecessary. I made sure that the agreed upon price was noted on the paperwork that I was signing. I called the next morning to check on my cat and verified amount due. I was then told that the total bill was $343. I asked why my bill was added to without my knowledge and the woman stated that they had taken it upon themselves to treat my cat for fleas without my consent even though I had told the vet at the initial appointment that he had already been treated for fleas 2 days prior to his appointment at the vet. The woman was very short and seemed irritated that I was questioning why something additional was d more

First visit for Tink! 5/17/2008

Today was our first visit for my baby Yorkie Poo, "Tink". My brother referred us to them and several of my friends tell me their families have used Dr Reese for years. Actually when I was a kid my mom took our poodle there as well. I waited only 5 minutes tops to be seen and in that time they were collecting information from me, like her weight and how many shots she has had before. The staff was delightful and knew who we were when we walked in the door before we signed in even. It was clean and the other animals there were leashed and well behaved. Once in the patient room the doctor came right in and looked her over good. He was very informative and did not seem to be rushed. He took time to answer all my questions as this is my first pet in 17 years. The packet they gave me to keep all her informatin in was very nice. The nurse gave me excellent instructions on what I needed to administer at home. I had called 5 different vets and asked around fro referrals. Reese was mo more

Great staff 4/15/2008

Reese veterinary clinic is where I have always taken my pets, dogs and cats, and have had nothing but great service. The prices are reasonable and they also accept care credit as payment. I'm very disappointed in the negative ratings, they don't deserve it. I highly recommend them and would not think of switching. I have never seen animals just wandering around. Anytime they have a pet of there's in the clinic, it is enclosed behind the desk. more

Great place! 10/9/2007

My family has taken our pets here for as long as I can remember. We have never had to wait, and we have had NOTHING but great experiences there. As far as cost? I'm puzzled as to why people say they are high. I called around to 2 other veterinary clinics, thinking I may change vets for lower prices, but both were quite a bit more expensive than Reese. Even the place that I was recommended to because of lower prices was more expensive. So far this is the cheapest, and friendliest clinic. more

Love this Vet! 6/25/2007

Okay. . My family and I have been seeing Dr. Reese directly for over 23 years. He has saved about three of our dogs lives. We also had to get two dogs put down by them of old age. They always gave us nothng but great service and comforting sympathy. We love our veterinarian. And as far as being expensive. its is not. I am only 19 years old and can afford everything i have ever needed for my TWO Rat Terriers Duey and Dahlia! Why would I rate them anything but world class, nothing less for my pets! more

Love this vet 6/22/2006

I am very puzzled about the reviews I have read here. We have been using Reese for our dogs for over a year now, and have had nothing but awesome experiences with them. I've never seen their office dirty, and I've only noticed one "office cat".\r \r The staff is very friendly, and they always treat my pets well. They remember us every time we come in or call and make it a point to follow up with us after every visit.\r \r We may have to change vets due to their costs, but I am not happy about it at all. PROS: CONS: A little expensive. more

Price gouging 11/28/2005

I took my dog to this vet to get a skin rash looked at. They office itself was very dirty and there were all these animals just wandering around. I dont mind an office having one or two of their own animals, but I saw at least 5. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like I waited forever. It is not easily to keep a 100 pound dog calm when there are stray cats wandering around. Once we finally got in to the see the vet, he tried to force all these treatments that were totally unnecessary. All of my dogs shots were up to date but they told me I should have another set done just to be safe. He told me he needed to be dewormed, have blood tests run to see if he had heart worms etc, without asking me if he had already had those tests done. The inside of the examining room was also not very sterile looking. When all was said and done he told me my dog had a flea allergy along with food allergies and other types of things going on with his skin. He tried to sell me a 40 dollar bag more

not very clean 9/10/2005

I went there with my dog once. That was enough. The "clinic" was not very clean. I know with alot of animals in and out it will not be spotless, but yuck. Their prices where on the high side. The staff seemed to be nice. I was the first after lunch, so I thought I would be in and out, but I think the Dr. must have still been on lunch, because I still had to wait. more

disliked this place very much 9/8/2005

i will never return to this place. they are far to expensive. they force treatments that are unnesessary. service is not at all friendly and not at all clean. they make you wait far to long even if nobody is there. they also have to many animals just wondering around the building. more
