My husband already wrote a great review for this company on Yahoo, but I feel so strongly about the wonderful service we received that I feel compelled to add another review here. My husband and I were first drawn to Realty Austin's website because we were buying a home in the north suburbs of Austin while living in Hawaii, and the pictures on this site were the best- being that we were only going to be able to fly out for 2 days to look at homes, this was incredibly important. The realtor we were assigned was Gretchen Janzow- wow, were we lucky. She took the time to show us the homes we were interested in on our limited time frame. When we found our dream house, we quickly found out that we were in a multiple offer situation. Being first time home buyers, her input and guidance was crucial in us winning the ""bidding war"". During this time, Gretchen didn't seem to mind contacting us well into the evening- she easily put in a 12 hour day to help us get the home we wanted. Her help did not end there. While I'm sure Gretchen is a busy woman, especially with how amazing of a realtor she is, she truly made us feel like we were her only customers. She answered all of our questions (and believe me, I asked a TON of questions) and was easily the most accessible person we dealt with throughout the last couple months. She was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process, and was more than willing to find out anything we wanted to know. To add to this, she was extremely flexible working with our time difference- being in Hawaii meant that we often needed to call her well after the end of a typical work day. Few people would be as attentive, understanding, and pleasant being called at 9pm for work (I'm so sorry Gretchen! You are a gem!). While you might not have a 5 hour time difference to deal with, that attitude of accessibility and dedication will show in your interaction with Gretchen. We absolutely recommend using Gretchen Janzow- not only will she help you find the perfect home for you, she will also make the complex process as easy as possible. With Gretchen, you don't have to worry about dealing with a pushy ""sales person"" type personality- she shows that she genuinely cares about helping her customers find a home that they will love. It is so clear that she is passionate about what she does, and is willing to go the extra mile for her clients. Thank you Gretchen! more

Rosalia Chiu, Realty Austin, did an outstanding job in helping us find a wonderful lot on Lake Travis. She listened very attentively to our desires and did a great job showing us what was available. We were out of town buyers, therefore it was very important to us that our search was very efficient and Rosalia made sure we did not waste our limited time. She also took the initiate to set up appointments for several builders to evaluate lot building suitability which was critical to our decision. She was also very helpful and knowledge during the closing process. We highly recommend Rosalia if you are looking for a real estate agent. She did an outstanding job for us! more

I'm not a usual on-line reviewer but had to write a review for Kevin Wilhelm at Realty Austin. My husband and I were interested in selling our house in Shady Hollow Feb 2012 and were recommended Kevin by my boss who had just sold her house with Kevin a year ago. My boss and her husband raved about Kevin and we decided to go with him. Well, now I have to rave about Kevin! The whole house buying/selling process is stressful enough but having a competent and professional realtor minimizes the stress. Kevin is the realtor for you if you want to reduce a lot of the unnecessary stress! Kevin by far exceeded our expectations from his professionalism, his knowledge, his dedication to the job, and most of all, is a great all around guy. Oh and I almost forgot the best part....our house was under contract in 1 day! (Kevin has a magic touch when it comes to houses) Kevin had even set up previews for our house prior to it being on the market which helped get the buzz going. He's definitely well connected in the real estate market. Recently I asked my boss how she had heard of Kevin and come to find out, one of her friends had recommended Kevin as he had sold their house (it was a house that had been previously listed by someone else and had been on the market forever. Kevin took it and got it sold!) Kevin is now listing one of my friend's house and she also has raved about Kevin. I think that speaks for itself. more

In 2003 Kathy Jacob from Realty Austin helped me to buy a house. She was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She found me what I wanted. This year I decided to sell my house and contacted her again. She sold my house in no time. I was very impressed with the way everything went. I got what I wanted and everything went so smoothly. I will contact her again in a heart beat if I decide to buy another house. She is the best. Thank you Kathy for everything you did, you are awesome. more

I don't usually write online reviews, but I'm making an exception for Cristina Valdes with Realty Austin. Throughout my entire home buying process, she was accessible, professional, knowledgeable about the market, and patient, and was always cheerful and helpful. While she certainly didn't tell me what to buy, she also was straightforward about what she thought was a good deal and what wasn't. She has a good critical eye, and even pointed out issues with houses that I would not have noticed on my own. She had a better idea than I did of what I was looking for, consistently suggested houses that were on the right track, and in the end found me the home I wanted within the (tight) time frame in which I needed to buy. Additionally, she held my hand all the way through to closing, was much calmer than me during an anxious moment, and just generally took care of things I never would have known I needed to do on my own. Cristina walked me through the whole process step by step, and thanks to her I doubt it could have been any easier. I recommend her highly. more

Our experience with Patrick Birdsong was absolutely phenomenal. Patrick has an unparallelled level of expertise when it comes to the Austin home market. Susanne Lee turned the chore and worry of finding and buying a home into a really pleasant and memorable experience. She was knowledgable of the local market, had a GREAT website and was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Her first concern was OUR best interest rather than ""what would work for us."" She was very helpful at closing and it was re-assuring to have her there. She even came to our wedding reception after we closed! Can't go wrong with her! more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with James Deloney and Realty Austin for our very first home purchase. James met with us in person to walk us through the home buying process, helped narrow down exactly what we were looking for and the best neighborhood for us, toured 20+ homes for over a month and looked at 5+ homes over the course of one weekend with us, resulting in our finding the right one! James was always honest with us on affordability, the neighborhood, schools, and personal recommendations. We never felt like he was trying to pressure us or steer us in one direction, and we are 100% happy with our house, neighborhood, and final sale price for our Windsor Park home. James was also exceptionally helpful during the closing process - he walked through our final house selection multiple times with us to insure inspections had gone well and we were 100% happy with the house and any repairs needed, and he answered any all concerns that came up along the way. We recently sold and bought a home with Jen Butel as our agent. We were pregnant, stressed, and under a time deadline. Jen not only proved exceedingly knowledgeable about the area and things to look for in a home (she even pointed out things like a potentially poisonous nightshade plant we might want to remove before letting a child play in that area at one property), but she was kind and patient as we looked at multiple properties to find the one that was right for us. She helped calm us when we were stressed and was very helpful with navigating a process so alien to many of us. Hopefully we're settled in for a while now, but should we need to move again we wouldn't hesitate to call Jen again. more

We live in Houston and had a house in Austin that we wished to sell. First, Tom was recommended by our favorite realtor in Houston after he did some research. All I need to say is that Tom holds your hand through the entire process; and if you live out of town, meets the plumber, the yard man, etc. for you. Throughout the process he mentors and counsels you, and gives you sufficient facts to make a decision. Then he allows you to make a decision. He was always there for us. more

Our realtor, Jane Medina (Austin Realty), made our move from Houston to Georgetown a whole lot less stressful! From start to finish, Jane kept us informed and made sure we had the most up-to-date information. She paid attention to what we wanted and then made every effort to find exactly the right house for us! In spite of the soaring temperatures (often over 100 degrees), Jane never lost her patience and always remained professional during our house search. We can?t say enough great things about Kevin Wilhelm at Realty Austin. He helped my fiancee and I with every step while purchasing our first home together. We signed up to be contacted by an agent on the Austin Realty website and by chance we were immediately assigned to Susie Lee. The challenge we faced was to find a home and close the deal within just a few months time. The process seemed daunting as a first time homebuyer, but Susie walked us through each step and provided us with all the information we needed to make an educated decision. Susie worked dilligently to get us the best deal possible and somehow made us feel like her only clients. She went above and beyond to help us and was always attentive and easy to reach for questions or concerns. Susie is a true professional and was a real pleasure to work with. When my husband and I decided to downsize we listed our home with Jane Medina at Realty Austin. Knowing that it was a down economy and most of the houses in our neighborhood were taking several months to sell, we weren't expecting any miracles, but that is exactly what we got. As a first-time homebuyer, and moving from another state, our first home purchase could have been a stressful and intimidating experience. Because we found Marcia Kim at Realty Austin, it was the opposite. As the headline says, I cannot say enough good things about my experience, but I will try and explain some of the reasons it was so great for us. We first began communication with Realty Austin before we moved to Austin from Los Angeles. I knew that buying a home would be a very personal and potentially stressful situation, so I wanted to make sure we found an agent that truly understood us and could help match-make us with our dream home. I submitted a contact form on Realty Austin's website with some information about who we are and what we were looking for. We were connected with Marcia as a possible realtor, and hit it off immediately. Before we even made our first house-hunting visit, Marcia was amazing with prompt and efficient communication, teaching us about what to realistically expect in the house hunting process, and guiding us in the right direction to find what we wanted. When we made our first visit, even though it would be months before we would be in a position to buy, Marcia took us to see our favorite properties from the searches she set up for us. We could tell immediately by the way she ""got"" who we are and what we wanted, and the way she dealt with the other realtors, that we could trust her and that she would have our back. When we were ready to move, Marcia kicked it into high gear for us, doing everything in her power to get us into the house we wanted as soon as possible, so we would not have to live out of a hotel for long. She even took the stress out of the process for us by negotiating the best possible scenarios for us and our current situation with ease. She was a true advocate for us, and would proactively seek out the best scenarios for us (which was great, since it was all new to us!). One of the best things I can say is that Marcia made us feel like her only clients, even though I know for a fact that she had other clients with budgets 5x that of ours at the same time. Yet she always made us feel important, always responded promptly, and always fought for us like it was for herself. She truly recognized how significant of a purchase and moment in our lives this was, and made it as easy and painless as possible. If we ever decide to leave our house, we will use Marcia again in a heartbeat, and whole-heartedly recommend her for first time homebuyers or experienced buyers alike. more

Looking for a retirement home in a distant city can be quite a challenge. After visiting the hill country just west of Austin on a holiday, my wife and I began to think it might be a nice retirement destination, but didn't know much about it. I came across Realty Austin via a casual Google search, and decided to give them a call. In retrospect, that was a great decision. They connected us with Keri. Over a handful of visits spanning 3 months, Keri demonstrated an unparalleled level of professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness, and patience. We started out with a high degree of uncertainty, not knowing for sure whether we wanted a home or a lot, how far from Lake Travis, how far from Austin, what level of neighborhood development, etc, etc. Keri patiently showed us a large number of options spanning all of the above, and explained the various pros and cons of each, which helped us zero in on a final decision that we are very happy with. She also helped us through a maze of paperwork all the way through to a successful closing. In short, it is my pleasure to give Keri the highest recommendation, and I would certainly refer to her any friend who may consider a real estate opportunity in Austin in the future. more
