I called them last fall to get rid of weeds and fertilize my good grass. Well, they managed to kill SOME of my weeds and most of my St. Augustine. One of their top guys came out a few weeks ago and agreed with me. I have been getting the run around since then. I have since learned they have cancelled my account, without telling me! I have had another lawn service come out in the meantime who agrees with me- they killed my lawn! They must be in financial trouble, or else they would have better customer service. more

Used this firm for about 18 months. Lawn was doing pretty well before we started but appeared to be suffering from drought damage. Spent over $700 a year only to have the lawn look incredibly worse. They used weed killers and the weeds got worse. The used fertilizers to promote growth and the bare patches got worse. The used all sorts of things to fix all sorts of problems that I didn't even have before using them and everything got worse. The most frustrating thing was that my neighbors on either side did nothing but water and both their lawns are fine. Mine is just awful and I don't even know where to begin to get it back to where it was before we started with these people. I would have been better off just sticking the dollars I gave them into the ground for mulch. more

I started with Real Green about 2 years ago. I just purchased my first home, and unfortunately the previous owners did not take very good care of the lawn. I was hoping that I would not have to re-sod my entire lawn, because that can be very costly and hard to keep well watered during the Summer. Before starting with their service, they had someone come out from their company to take a look at my lawn. After the initial visit, the rep went over in great detail what I could expect from their services. I was advised to re-sod in the shady areas, but they did promise that as long as I do my part in mowing and watering in addition to their treatments, I could expect to see a change with the weeds and thickness within a year. I had several other companies come out to look at my lawn, and Real Green was the only company that seemed to be completely honest with what to expect. With the other companies, I felt like I was being pressured into signing up with them, and was promised quick results. After talking in depth with Real Green, I began to grow weary of the expectations the other companies were giving me. Pros: Got my lawn turned around Cons: Forgot to call ahead once more

I used them for more than a year and finally admitted that I had been throwing my money away. I didn't have too much problem with customer service. All the people I had dealt with were pleasant enough. But I was certainly not getting my $50/month money's worth. They don't service the lawn often enough. And every time they did, it was really superficial. They completely neglected some troubling signs on our lawn and let it get worse and worse. I had to finally call them to bring it to their attention. Then over the period of the next couple of months they sent several people over but nobody had a real clue about what was going on. Whatever they suggested or did didn't help the situation at all. I even got conflicting advices from different service people. I finally terminated their service. My lawn is not doing much better, but at least I am not wasting my money on the useless lawn service! Pros: pleasant to deal with Cons: didn't do anything! more

I have been amazed with the service Real Green has provided over the last two years. I get constant updated on recommended watering and mowing needs for my lawn. I have had the Steve service my lawn ever since we started and he is so great about calling me on his way so I can put up the dogs. I came across these guys a long time ago. Thru the years, they treated for termites, fleas, bees and weeds.... They are very good at what they do. They always call ahead and are on time, all the time. Once we were haveing a party for one of my grandbabies in the back yard. Mosquitos were real bad that year. The real green guy came by and sprayed, at no extra charge. It saved the day! I trust these guys in all that they say and do. You should to. Every one I have recommended them to ""Thanks Me"" So thats a big plus in my book. Pros: They take care of everything with no worries from anyone. more

Been caring for my own lawn for some 50 plus years. Last couple of years, things got out of control. I was either over or underwatering. Been using the Real Green folks for about 10 years or so. They kept telling me my yellowing was from not watering enough. But I wouldnt listen. (Iknew better) Hell I been taken care of that lawn longer then them anyway. Well finely the service man said hey, Johnny, why dont you let me set it for you. Coulnt believe my eyes. Withen two weeks, my lawn was as green as it ever was. Amazing what a little water will do! Poit here is that these guys are always jonny on the spot and willing to step up when needed. Only a fool thinks he knows more than these folks. This is what they do. They have never misled me yet. With the drought and all, I was needing some help. I mean, I have lived in my house for about three years. Beginning last year, when it quit raining, My lawn went away and all I had was weeds. Many of my neighbors use these guys, so I gave them a call. Best thing I ever did. When things got real bad this year, and I was just ""lost"" with my sprinkller controller, they came out and set it up for me. They have this e-mailed watering alert that is really helpful. I really look forward to them. Its really easy with these guys. All I have to do is water and mow like they said, and everything came back to like it was in 2007. When the watering restrictions started mid summer this year, they recommended a water retention product. They put it dawn about 4 weeks ago, and just like they said... We have been with you for 4 months - your service has been extremely dissappointing. We plan for you to come after 3, I come home early, you forgot to put time in the computer and they came at 10 and skipped the back yard. You say you will call back to reschedule - guess you forgot that too. I go to work late to wait for 7-10 appt, you send person to the wrong address. I call to find out where you are, you can't stop giggling. You use my hose - when you are done you throw it into my potted plants and snap my mountain laurel in half - It was almost 2 years old I grew it from a seed.
