Poor Diagnostic Skills and slow about what is wrong with your pet.\r Inconsiderate of your feelings and lie about many things.\r Billing & Money are the most improtant thing to them.\r As your pet lies in your arms to be put to sleep they ask how is this bill going to be paid for.\r Stop and think, your pet is like your child. Please don't ever leave\r them there. more

Awesome Clinic 5/27/2011

The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. They really care about animals. I went there because they took the free checkup certificate given by the Humane Society but stayed because they do such a great job with my animals. The doctors our animals have seen there have been great about not spending money frivilously on tests but doing what is needed to diagnose and treat. The care is a little expensive but they our our pets so they deserve the best. more

Ravenwood saved my Chihuahua 3/31/2011

My 12 year old Chihuahua, "my child" Tia, wouldn't eat and no energy at all. Tia hates everyone except her family. To my surprise when the Ravenwood Doctors came in the room she actually let them touch and pet her, that has never happened. They cleaned her teeth, pulled 2 of them, cleaned her ears, gave me spray for her feet because she was chewing on her toes. I thought it was a little pricey at first but when you consider all the little extras like all follow up visits were free, they clip her nails for free, we couldn't get her to take her meds so they had us bring her in everyday and they gave them to her. \r Ravenwood saved my Tia's life. She is playful and eats good again. I am so grateful, I will never take my Tia to anyone else. more

Dr. Anderson is amazing! 3/10/2011

I had previously taken my sheltie to two other veterinarians (Spruce Creek Animal Clinic and the vet on Dunlawton and Peninsula) before taking her to Dr.Anderson at Ravenwood. She obviously had serious skin problems; flaking, itching, massive hair loss, and a very lethargic personality. I had mentioned to both of the previous vets that she had not had any problems are all before we took her to a groomer. Neither of the two other vets were responsive to my suggestions in the least. Dr. Anderson, on the other hand, took one look at my dog and properly diagnosed her with sarcophagus mange. She is finally acting like herself again and beginning to regrow her coat. I can't believe the other two vets misdiagnosed her with "flea allergies" when my dog literally had no hair left and scabs all over her body. I ran around and paid over $600 before taking her to Dr. Anderson who, in my eyes, is a phenomenal vet who also saved us money by not running unnecessary tests on my dog! more

Worse Vet 2/22/2011

This VET Clinic is really bad! Really expensive, but that is not the worse part. I took my cat last year to get him check because he's been throwing up for a few weeks. They charge me $250 to tell me tat he didn';t have anything wrong...long story short...we took him to the Animal Clinic of Dunlawton and for way less money they were able to detect that he has a tumor on his abdomen. Now is too late. There is nothing they can do about. The words of the Vet at Ravenwood were: He is a healthy cat! \r A little advise: tkae your pet somewhere else...somewhere were they REALLY care about them. more

HORRIBLE VET just A MONEY GRAB PLACE 1/5/2011

This vet could careless about your animals health in fact they will hold you hostage to bring your animals in before they will allow a third party such as PET MEDS to give your animals heartworm medicine. If you buy them in the vet they over charge as they they do for all their services and the front desks woman is a (INSERT FEMALE DOG HERE) . AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS and dont forget the fire that caused harm to animals there a few years back. HORRIBLE NO ONE WATCHING ANIMALS OVERNIGHT WORST VET IN TOWN more

Chloe the miracle 12/17/2010

I would like to say Thank You to Dr. Emerson and the Staff at Ravenwood. I rescued a Chihauhau (Chloe) on Saturday Dec. 11th we did not realize what bad shape the poor little girl was in. We knew she malnutritioned but she also had major dental problems. I called Deb at Second Chance Resue(where we got her) and she recommened that I take her to Dr.Emerson. I called and they got us in right away. At first Dr. Wilson looked at her, but then she had to call Dr. E in when she realized it was a dental problem. Just want to let everyone know that Dr. Emerson is in this business for the animals. She got Chloe in yesterday and had to do major dental work and she didn't charge us a arm or a leg she was very fair. We are looking forward to many good years with our new addition. I am also thinking of changing Vets. I have 3 other Chihauhau's, Chico, Lucy & Bandit and only want the best for them also. Thanks Again, Cindy & Jeff more

Poor care, poorer diagnostic skills 10/5/2010

We took our French Bulldog pup to see Dr. Wilson because our normal vet was unavailable. He had some bumps on the back of his neck that were losing hair and had also begun drooling excessively so we were worried and brought him to the closest vet. Huge mistake.\r \r Dr. Wilson took a scraping of a bump on his forehead with such force that it bled and later became infected, leaving a giant unsightly bump on his face that has lasted two weeks, while the other bumps have all subsided. She did nothing to clean up or stop the bleeding. She could have easily taken a a less aggressive sample from a less conspicuous area on the back of his neck. \r \r I attempted to contact Dr. Wilson, leaving messages for her twice with the receptionist and never received a return phone call. I called again and was asked to leave a third message, but demanded to speak with the doctor. Finally, when I spoke with her, she was dismissive and informed me that she would prescribe antibiotics (solely based on the fact more

The Special Angels of Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic 9/16/2010

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Anderson and his staff at Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic for helping my husband and I through the difficult task of sending our 15 year old Lhasa Apso, Max on his final journey. We also thank them for all the years that they lovingly took care of Max. It takes special people to understand what we have gone through with the loss of our beloved pet. Dr. Anderson took time out of his busy schedule to send us a hand written note assuring us that we did the right thing. Kind jestures as that has helped ease our time of healing. I would highly recommend Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic to anyone who wants the best care for their pets. more

Pet Owner and Business Consultant 7/4/2010

My dog is a patient of Dr. Emerson. She's been more than a doc for our dog, she's been a loving member of our family in caring for our pup, aka family member, Jake. Last week, our 2 year old pup was in a critical care situation that could have ended with his passing. But, with the loving care of Dr. Emerson and Dr. Schrager and the entire staff of Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic, we have a healthy and happy puppy back home. I cannot say enough about Ravenwood and the care we rec'd. As an emergency care doc, Dr. Schrager and her team were there for us 24/7, when our pup needed help. I will be eternally grateful for their care and their support. For anyone that has an animal that they want to ensure they have the best possible support for, I'd recommend Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic. Amazing people that truly do whatever it takes. more

At Ravenwood you can see Angels at work! 5/14/2010

The whole staff is the greatest! Never have I been to such a caring vet. And it doesn't stop with just the care, She gives you the "knowledge of how" to care for your baby yourself. When you except the responsibility, the pet no longer exists... They become your Children and must be cared for as such. They have feelings, they learn and they make us happy so the least we can do is make sure in return that they are happy and HEALTHY and THAT BEGINS AT RAVENWOOD. They will teach you all you need to know about your "baby". I chose to have the best care for my "kids" that is why I will continue to use Ravenwood. Thank you Penny Cooper more

"Larry The Amazon" 3/13/2010

I am so grateful to Dr. Anderson and his wonderful ,caring staff for taking care of my "Larry", my out-going and comical Amazon Parrot. I was recommended to Dr. Anderson when my Larry was sick many years ago for feather picking.I was told he was the only avian vet around. Thank God. Although Larrys condition was light and he got through it...it would be years later when we would again need Dr. A's care. Larry wouldn't get up off the floor of his cage and his feather picking came back in full force. Dr. A ran tests and handled Larry with gentle and loving care and we found he was over weight. The diet I gave Larry was dangerous and I could have caused himto die. Dr.A explained about a parrots diet and foods that could be harmful or fatal. On a diet went Larry, no more pnuts! He got healthy and was once again handsome in a suit of green. Recently Larry had surgery to remove a lump on his wing that erupted and he bled profusely. Dr.A wasted no time and he and his staff took care of Larry more

Superior Veterinary Doctors/Staff 7/28/2009

My pets have had Dr. Mark Anderson take care of them for 30 years. The high point in my experience was when Dr. Anderson personally stayed with Precious, my 14 year old cocker spaniel. While out of town, he held her until she passed. I will never be able to repay Dr. Anderson for his love and kindness for Precious. I now have another pet who is in his care. Thank you Dr. Anderson for all your professional expertise and knowledge; and for providing our community with all of Ravenwood Vet.'s professional staff--from the doctors to the clerical staff. Great exotic vet 4/8/2009

We take our pet raccoons to Ravenwood, and they just love it there! Our Zoe gets so spoiled that when I went to get her she wasn't in a hurry to leave. You can really tell that the staff adores animals, and the animals love them back.\r Great vet! more

top notch veterinary clinic! 4/3/2009

Dr Anderson is the best vet that I have ever taken my pets to. I have many snakes and 2 dogs and he has shown such compassion and care and knows his business when it comes to reptiles especially. I would highly recommend this clinic to any pet owner as they have a level of care and professionalism that is second to none. Excellent vet practice! more

The best vets ever! 12/4/2008

Dr. Emerson at Ravenwood is such a blessing to our rabbit rescue. Not only is she the most knowledgable rabbit vet in the area, but she gives our rescue a steep discount. You can tell that she and her staff truly care about the animals. They always fit us in when we have an emergency. We could not operate with her. more

Dr Emerson is truly caring and generous! 7/30/2008

I have followed Dr Emerson for years and will never forget all the good work she has done for ARNI, a local pet rescue organization. She is truly in this business for all the right reasons. It is obvious that she really cares about animals and her knowledge is superior to most others in her field. I was so glad when she partnered with Dr Anderson at Ravenwood and gladly drive the 20+ miles to go to her. She worked wonders for my dog who had major dental issues (this is her specialty) until his oral cancer beat him. Now she has been extremely helpful to my new rescue venture, Colonel Potter's Cairn Terrior Rescue Network, and continues to be an invaluable asset in vetting the dogs that are in my foster care. Organizations like ours couldn't do what we do without veterinarians like her. more

Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic 3/4/2008

I have only had the occasion to use this clinic one time, but thank goodness they were there! We had an emergency with our bird and had no idea that so few Vets have any knowledge of birds! Dr Anderson was awesome! They fit us right in and saved his life! The price was right and the staff was very friendly. Everyone there seems to truly care about animals! more

Compassionate Veterinarian 3/4/2008

I took a very sick rescue dog to the female Veterinarian at this hospital. She had never seen either of us before. That didn't matter.. She still saw a very sick dog in need. It was a Friday afternoon and they were going to close in 15 minutes but she still took her time and helped us the best she could.. more
