The clothing was more worn than one would expect from a high end consignment as they claim to be and the selection was out-dated. more

Great shop bad advertising 5/21/2009

Rags is a great environment to shop, great customer service, is always a great pleasure to shop there. The only thing is when i send e-mailers i receive to others or send people to their website they are less than impressed. The advertising does not do the store justice. The quality of images and layout gives it a low end look when they constantly push the fact that they are a high end consignment shop. Not good for pulling new customers in. Pros: Great clothing in the store Cons: Bad advertising would not want to visit based on that more

Overall very nice 1/22/2009

I recently discovered rags a few months ago and am very impressed with the establishment. The consignment, although very picky about selection, is the best split in town and almost everything they take sells. Their selection is very varied and everything is in excellent condition for a second hand store. The customer service is not the best however I've found that the younger girls on register seem more eager to help than the older women in the back, and they are always ready to give opinions and helpful suggestions on outfits. Rags also has a nice selection of jewelry, but it seems a tad over priced. The lighting also needs some work; at night it is often hard to see the clothes. Overall my experiences there have generally been positive. The manager is also very friendly and often chats with customers, which i find very appealing. I would definately recommend checking this place out. Pros: nice selection, low prices Cons: lighting, could be open a little later more

Women in store are SUPER rude! 9/26/2008

I have shopped and consigned with Rag's Consignment in the past. They do have some nice items, and the store is impeccably organized and shoppable. However, every time I have been in the store, shopping or consigning, the women in the store are very rude! I have no idea why someone, or some people, think that this is okay to act this way. Come on, your taking people's USED clothing! They have an heir that they think they are better than you. I don't get it, especially when I am contributing to the success of their store. I have taken LOTS of nice namebrand items in to consign, and they have made quite a bit of money on my things. It was nice to see that others feel the same way about the snotty attitudes residing at Rag's Consignment. I have since found a fabulous place to take my clothes. They split 50/50 not 60/40, and the BEST thing is...They are very friendly and congenial. Pros: nice items, clean, organized Cons: The women treat you like you're a piece of trash... more

DONE with this place - terrible customer service 7/31/2008

I've been consigning clothes with Rags to Riches for years despite the fact that the customer service is (much) less than stellar and you don't make much on the clothes you consign (even though their prices seem to have been continually creeping up over the years). But here's the straw that broke my back . . . more

Like the merchandise. I'm a picky shopper, so I don't usually find exactly what I'm looking for, but I think they have a very good selection. Pros: Good selection. Good quality used clothing. Cons: Inattentive employees. more

Not Worth Shopping Rags Consignments 3/26/2008

I realize it's great to recycle used clothing but not with the expensive prices that are found at ""Rags Consignments"". Prices are very expensive for used clothing and good customer service can not be found in this consignment shop! Cons: Prices, Lack of Customer Service more

Holy Ugly Betty Batman! 11/14/2007

It was about a week ago, or so I was watching Ugly Betty. What pray tell does this have to do with Rags to Riches? Well...Betty went to the Broadway play Wicked in the show and what did she have on? The same Nanette Lepore cashmere sweater I had just purchased from Rags!!! So it's true, the items at Rags are current and fabulous! (yes, it was Betty but even she has some great taste when it comes to cashmere) more

Marni, Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs, oh my! 6/17/2007

We shop there and consign there all the time. Definitely the best value for consignments in Boulder. We've had some great finds there, including Plenty by Tracy Reese dress, Marni shoes, Miu Miu shoes and Trina Turk pants. They have nice clothes and good shoes. Staff is very nice. They have pretty good pricing and occasional sales for customers on their mailing list. Pros: Good stock, nice staff, good prices. Cons: None. more

Rude, snobby saleswomen 4/8/2007

When consigning a few items at Rags and Consignment in Boulder, I found the saleswomen lacked customer service. I had a few questions for one young, brunette saleswoman regarding the consignment process. She was rude. She wasn't able to provide any concrete answers, simply citing trust and reputation as why I should consign my personal items at Rags and Consignment. The two saleswomen determining which items to be consigned were very, very loud. You could hear them on the opposite side of the store laughing. Not to mention comments such as, ""Oh no,"" they made on people's personal items brought to the store to consign. more

Great clothing! Friendly atmosophere! 3/9/2007

Rags has the best clothing selection anywhere. Not only do they take used clothing, but there is also a great selection of new clothing and clothing from boutiques. There's a new selection everyday!! They only take nice, in style, clean, and good brand clothing. The lines for consigning can be long (probably because it's so popular), but Rags also has a mobile service. They can go to your house and look at your things for only $10, so you don't have to wait at the store!! The staff is always friendly and willing to help out. They're always trying to improve the store! It's really a great place to shop! Pros: good selection, amazing brands, friendly staff more

Great store where you can always find something unique. It's nicely organized and clean, and the staff is helpful. Not only is there a great selection of popular labels, but there is a good selection of designer labels and new items from high-end boutiques. more

Rag's is a great place to shop. I find all the best stuff at good prices. The employees are really nice and ready to help you. It's fun, modern and very organized compared to most consignment stores. Rags is the best consignment store I have ever been to. Hands down. They have all the great labels at amazing prices...you never know what you'll find...Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Taylor, Dosa, Coach, tons of denim and great outdoor wear. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and seems to truly enjoy being there. May have to wait a bit since it's such a popular spot but, the shopping-while-you-wait makes it worth it. Also, really nice atmosphere - modern, feminine and fun. Can't wait to go back! more

I've been shopping/consigning at Rags for 10 years. The place has continued to update itself; consign cool stuff, and give me a feeling of being very welcome. My best friend and I get each other gift certificates so we can shop together. Sometimes the consigning can take a while ... a half hour or maybe even an hour which is great cause that gives me time to shop!!!! If I don't have the time to wait for my consignment, they are happy to donate any items they do not take which frees me to continue with my day. I recommend Rags to anyone that wants to find great clothing at the fraction of the cost while having some fun! more

I have been to rags once and it was an extremely negative experience. The atmosphere is pretty nice and the employees were dressed nicely and very kind, but when I went to consign my clothes I waited for about one hour and then when I got back there they had taken two items, I asked the manager what clothes are more likely to be sold and she was very rude, rushed, and did not give me a direct answer. I did not come back, that attitude is not worth it! more

Rags is a great consignment store! It's easy to consign and I appreciate that you don't have to make appointments to consign, just go in when it's convenient for you. The clothing selection is always changing and the anticipation of discovering a great new find every time you go in is really fun! Pros: great merchandise more

Best Consignment Store I have ever been to!!! 1/20/2007

I have been going to Rags Consignments for over 4 years! I have never had a negative experience there...not even close! The staff is excellent especially the amazing ladies that have worked there for years! They are extremely helpful and fun. You can find all the coolest brands at AMAZING prices. Sevens, True Religion, Marc Jacobs, Nanette Lapore, Theory, Jimmy Choo, Prada the list goes on and on! Over half of my closet is from Rags! It is the BEST CONSIGNMENT STORE I have ever been to period. Just go see for yourself. .. Pros: Great Selection, Helpful Staff, Ease of Consigning more

Damaged clothing - buyer beware 1/6/2007

Rags & Consignment carries clothing that is torn, has holes and ripped seams, or is quite shrunken from its original size (common with the wool sweaters they have). It's rather disappointing that they have so many people on staff receiving the consignments, but they are not doing due diligence in checking for damaged clothing. When I've found holes, etc., in the clothing, I've taken the item to a staff member, but never received a positive response that she will remove the item from the floor. This is also disappointing given the high prices charged for the damaged clothing. more
