Amazing Service! 2/18/2011

I recently hired REMS to do some repairs on our rental property and their workers did a great job! Everything was completed to my satisfaction. I went to inspect the property after a long hard day at work half expecting to have to clean up after them and much to my amazement; the place was exactly the opposite. They cleaned up after themselves and you would have never known they were there other than the fact I had a new fan in the kitchen, the whole in the ceiling was covered and patched just like I requested, the fan in the bathroom was replaced and the electrical is now working again. REMS did an amazing job. more

I rented some space from REMS for the past year and they were wonderful to work with throughout the lease. Their maintenance staff completely remodeled my space and did a great job with the new paint, doors and carpet. They were very attentive to any requests I had. This management company has actually performed better than other management companies in Utah County. Who would everyone suggest? Rose Hollow went out of business, Aspen Ridge never returned my calls, and Advantage Management wasn't any better. Please advise? more

A joke 8/10/2010

Every single person I know (former residents and people working with real estate, utilities or any other type of repair work) has nothing good to say about this poor excuse for a company. The first paragraph in their student housing packet says: ""We are excited to have you and we're here to serve."" They were helpful every once in a while, but most of the time were just a pain in the butt, and showed no desire to actually serve anybody. I've heard multiple stories (current roommates, former residents and my own) of them ringing up bogus charges, not returning calls when renters needed to talk to them, and leaving the place a nasty mess for each new group of residents to clean. When I got here, despite our expensive cleaning deposit, the kitchen was extremely dirty, the bathrooms were dirty and actually had holes in the ceilings above the shower heads. No, this is not a company that serves - at least not most of the workers I have interacted with. Do all you can to rent from a different company within the apartment complex you want to stay at. more

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT COMPANY 7/29/2010

I have had the worst experience with this management company, I dont even know where to begin.\r \r They are really bad at answering phone calls. They screen every caller. Its really rude, they ask your name & what you're calling about, make you wait for 5 minutes and then tell you the person you want it 'out of the office,' leave a message. Never never never any call backs. It makes solving problems with them extremely time consuming and frustrating.\r \r They 'fix' things but somehow nothing gets fixed.\r \r Their cleaning check out sheet is rediculous & my place was nasty when I moved in. \r \r There's one person there that tries to be helpful. She pretty much does everything, but they need 5 more employees like her so they can get things done.\r Pros: located close to einsteins bagel, ONLY pro. Cons: all around bad. more

3 different acct managers in 7 months 10/26/2009

I own a home in Utah which we had to move from when my husband joined the Navy. I chose REMS because they took less monthly to manage the property. I should have known I'd get what I paid for. I don't know how they've done with the tenants - I've never spoken with them. But I can say that as a home owner, I've been unsatisfied enough to seek a new property management company and pay a higher monthly fee just so things can be done correctly. Pros: pleasant sales reps Cons: slow & incorrect payment, poor customer service more

Completely unhelpful when problems come up 1/14/2009

My HOA uses this company, but if it was up to me, I would not. A leak in my condo's wall was poorly repaired last winter, only to come up again this year, damaging carpet, drywall and baseboards. After calling through the last 2 weeks, they still have not even sent anybody to look at the problem.\r \r They bill me without sending bills or receipts, which I have requested and been promised multiple times. Every time my requests are ignored.\r \r I'm currently trying to address electrical problems and have received nothing but resistance from the property manager in getting things fixed. Cons: Poor service, unorganized billing, and poor response to problems more

Very Bad Experince 9/15/2008

I rented an apartment managed by this company. When a fence fell on my car, they said that they would work with the owner of the apartments to make things right. After several unreturned phone calls they told me my car wouldn't be fixed and I would have to eat the cost on my car. Very Poorly Managed. more
