R&D installed a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim unit as part of a larger renovation project. It was installed defectively, and the unit leaked, requiring the room to be re-wallpapered. Less than 1 year later, the unit quit working. Although Mitsubishi considered it a warranty repair, and the part was provided without charge, R&D provided an estimate of $880 for the replacement of the defective coil. That was frankly shocking. And it took R&D 10 days to get back to us with that estimate and a proposed service date. So we decided to go elsewhere.
