R X Plus Pharmacy

I've noticed a lot of negative reviews for Rx Plus Pharmacy and I dont know why but I felt the need to stick up for them.\r \r I've been a member of the Adventist Health System Insurance plan for about 14 months now. I work for Florida Hospital Orlando and my insurance does require me to use Rx Plus for any maintenance medications. At first, I was very cautious about having my medications filled thru them. But, one day, I received a courtesy call from them asking me if I needed them to transfer in a medication that was filled for me at the local pharmacy...if I needed the 3 month supply shipped. I was so surprised to think they would call me and handle all of that for me. How thoughtful. Not to mention they said they would correlate with my MD for any reason if there was any issue's filling for the 3 month supply.\r \r As far as customer service goes...I have to say the ladies that answer the phones are very helpful. And what I also liked was if at any point I needed to speak to the specific rep that I spoke to previously, all I have to do is request to speak to them by name. Gosh, I dont know how many times I call my cable company and its a different rep each time and there is no extension to reach them. At Rx Plus I can request to speak to the person I spoke with thus eliminating the ""he said, she said."" \r \r As far as receiving my medications in the mail, I have to say as long as my MD responds, or gets any new prescriptions to the mailorder on time, then I find that my meds are mailed out with in 2-3 business days. And if there is any issues, I know I can call them and speak with someone about it right away. \r \r I noticied in the previous reviews someone mentioned they needed to speak to a supervisor and ""he"" wouldnt return there call. Thats funny because to my knowledge the only Supervisor there is a ""She"" and she is very helpful! Then again, that review was when the mailorder was in DeLand, which was the old location. \r \r Overall, pleasant and very helpful Rx Plus Pharmacy. Two thumbs up from me! more

A year ago I did not have problems with this pharmacy, but now my medication is late and they are very rude when they tell me to mail the prescription early even though I do that already. I try to call everyday in the morning and afternoon to ask that they use a different card so my account will not overdraft and they have not yet answered the telephone and I can't find another number anywhere. I have tried to use a different pharmacy where I can actually talk to a person and hand them a script, but my insurance will not allow unless I pay a lot of extra money. Awful awful awful. Pros: I save$35 Cons: you never know when you'll get your meds and nobody will talk to you more

I always call my meds in the right amount of time and never get until weeks later!!!!! Then I have go with my meds for days!!!!\r \r I've updated my phone number 6 times and they still don't have it right. Cons: never get meds on time more

At this time, I am not going to give a good rating to the Rx Pharmacy group in Deland. Located at 1070 stone St,Deland ,Fl. 32720.\r \r My wife is a cancer patient and she gets a 90 days supply of her thyroid medication. She called today to ask why my medication has not been received and the answer was: ""we did not receive an order.""\r My wife had called the order two weeks ago and there was not way to find our order in their system. They have a recording system taking orders.\r \r My wife is been getting this medication for a long time and still they did not have this medication in my wife's profile. I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor and the answer was ""He can not speak to you he is busy"".\r \r I called again and he refused to talk to me on the phone. This is the kind of service that people gets from this people. It's like they are doing you a favor by selling you medications. They are making a huge amount of money and a big mark up on their sales. If this guy can not talk to costumers and fix their problems then the Rx Pharmacy group is not living the Florida Hospital values. This supervisor or Manager needs to be talk to, or he needs to give up his position to a more ""people's person"". We ended up paying $15.00 dollars extra, besides the $90 dollars co-pay for getting our shipment overnighted. My wife did not have any medication and she is currently taking chemotherapy for her cancer.\r \r What a disappointment! Cons: they put you on hold for a long time and do not come back. more

Ships prescriptions in floppy TyVek mailers (non-trackable) via standard US Mail, so there is no way to prove your order was received and was in good condition. If theft occurs or if your shipment is crushed or damaged, you have no way to prove you are not at fault. RxPlus no longer puts the name of the pharmacy on the return address due to concerns about shipments being targeted for theft. The pharmacy will ship orders with a tracking number via FedEx overnight or two day, but charges you for that ($15 for two day, weekends not included). If your medication requires refrigeration or is temperature sensitive you must pay to have it shipped in a cooler via FedEx. Pros: 90 day supply of medication for two copays rather than three. Cons: Shipping practices leave consumers at risk regarding lost, stolen, or damaged orders. more
