Quilting Delights

My first (and last) experience at this quilt store. Signed up for block of month quilting...found mistakes on patterns, fabric was not available when store personnel said it would be. Was called and told to come and pick up fabric - went to store - they didn't have it. At the end of the block of the month session, still didn't have all fabric to complete project. Was told numerous times that it would be available in a few days - never was called to say it wasn't available. I always had to initiate calls to store to find out when fabric would be available. Store personnel are very protective of owner and always said fabric would be there in a few days....one time owner even told me she had car trouble and couldn't make it to the warehouse when she had planned, but would get it soon. Finally after last class in October and numerous phone calls to store, I received the last of my fabric on January 14, 2010. This was 6 weeks after we were to have completed the project. While I don't know if I was the only person who had to wait and wait for the fabric, I felt like I was completely disrespected as a customer of this establishment. Never will I sign up for more classes there or shop there. I have also told many of my quilting friends of my experience and they too will not shop at this store. A little customer service and ""telling it like it is"" would have gone a long way with me. Worst treatment by any store I've ever shopped at. This is really a good shop. I took the beginning quilters class from Marge and she was a great teacher. \r I feel like I was successful on my first project and I'm ready to tackle more complex quilts.\r The people who work there are always ready to answer a question or two. They have a great variety of classes, quilting, applique, long arm, Block of the Month, Mystery Quilt,. The store has lots of window so the space is well lit. The parking is really good, it's off the street. This shop is part of a strip mall behind Hollywood Video at 147th and SE Sunnyside Rd. That's about 3 miles east of I-205. Take exit 14 off I-205 and head towards Mt Hood (east). Easy to find, and you'll be glad you did. Pros: parking, good people, lots of natural day light, comprehensive stock of supplies Cons: closed on Sunday, has only one cash register, which can make check out a bit slow more

Haven't gotten everything you paid for? Well, stand in line, you aren't alone. there's plenty of us like you.\r Owner is very disrespectful of employees and customers. If you decide to go in ask her how many employees she has gone through? How many judgements does she have against her? Is she on cash-only basis with all of her vendors?\r Why no new fabric or product in the store? \r Wouldn't be surprised to see a going out of business sale in the near future. There are plenty of quilt stores in the metro area that are MUCH nicer than this one. Pros: Lots of choices, great parking, light and bright store. Good variety of classes. Cons: Not open Sunday. more
