Prudential movers did a great job with my move. Although i had a lot of furniture that wasen't worth much, the movers treated everything i own as if it had a lot of value. I was amezed at the speed in wich they wrapped and moved things. More important than the actual move: however was the treatment i eecived during a very stressful time.Everryone with Prudential Van Lines was friendly and professional and that helped alleviate a lot of my stress. more

VERY Frustrating Experience 8/16/2010

After many moves and having used many different companies, this was by far the worst. First of all, they assured us that our belongings would arrive within a two week period. However, they did not arrive until after three weeks, which was a huge inconvenience considering this was a cross country move. Second, several of our items were badly damaged in the move. That said, we filed a claim. While we were supposed to have an answer to our claim within 120 days, but after 8 MONTHS we were tracking THEM down! We called and called and called and NO ONE ever returned our calls. Finally, after MUCH complaining we received our claim letter. Needless-to-say, we still have not received our claim money. more

Great Moving Experience!! 6/15/2010

So..here's how my move went... I've moved about 4 times since being in the army (all four times using professional movers). Never had a better experience than I did with Prudential Van Lines. Customer service was great. My sales rep was very informative and gave me more details than any other mover did...so setting up the move was a breeze. Although from moving many times I sorta knew what to expect, as well as what to look for in choosing a trustworthy mover. I had quite a few other estimates I was working with from other movers..but after my research, I found Prudential Van Lines to be the most reputable. Yea...they had a few bad reviews here or there (as seen below)..but overall, on the better business bureau, along with D.O.T. and ProtectYourMove.gov they had the highest ratings documented.. Moving day comes and I was very impressed by the men whom arrived. All were professional including the foreman who answered any of my questions. My price actually fell below what I was quoted, since my sales rep and I did an ""over-estimate""..I was pleasantly surprised when my bill was $200 less than what I was quoted! So when my items arrived at my new house. The men reassembled the items that they took apart and even rearranged the furniture till we were happy with it's placement. These guys really went above and beyond. So much that I felt it necessary to write a good review and commend them for their hard work and commitment. Well, Thanks for my move Prudential Van Lines...and after 4 different moves...4 different companies...I've found one that I'd love to do business with again. This moving company is unprofessional. Save your money and time and use another company. They quoted me a price on the phone. THen when they showed up to my house they charged me extra for tape, credit card fee, and any tables with glass in it. The actual cost was about $100 more than the quoted price. On the phone I was told the delivery would take 3-5 days. Then I was told 7-10 days. My items arrived 14 days after it was picked up from NJ and moved to FL. Everything about this company is fishy. They say one thing and do something completely different. And when you confront them about it they say There's nothing they can do about it. I also had a sales rep Peter yell at me on the phone and tell me that they pay over 100,000 a year to Mastercard and Visa and that's why they have to charge me a fee. Unprofessional in every aspect. Outstanding Service. 5/11/2010

Prudential Van Lines movers did an outstanding job! We hired Prudential movers to pack and load up the whole house. They arrived exactly on-time to pack up the house and did a great job conquering the whole 4 bedroom house. \r The three men who showed up were very courteous and accommodating. \r They had the entire house packed up in 6 hours and we were ready for the big move the next day. They arrived right on-time for moving day and got right to work. It was nice to have the same crew from the day before because I knew they would treat my stuff with the respect that did packing it the day before. \r The move was flawless and I will absolutely use them again! more

Worst Movers ever 9/7/2009

I've moved a lot in my life (14+ times) and these guys have taken the cake as the worst movers ever. I was moving 1 mile away in the same town (apartment into a house) so I thought it would be a simple move. But on moving day, 30 minutes after they were supposed to show up i got called and told they wouldn't be there for another 4 hours. Which meant i was going to be paying for our apartment's elevator overtime charges. I asked if i can get some sort of discount refund for that charge since they were going to be so many hours after their original scheduled time and I was threatened on the phone to have the contract canceled and be stuck with no one to move me out. Then 30 minutes after that I get a call that they weren't even going to do the move but that they had sold my contract to another company (US Express Moving in NJ). A bait and switch if I've ever seen one. I was charged double my original estimate. I had to pay the whole bill before they even took anything off the truck and none of what i was told happened. The things i was told that could be taken, what could be left in our drawers, the bands that were supposed to be used now (that turned into tape i had to pay for), i had to disassemble everything myself, what few things they were ""nice enough"" to disassemble is now missing parts. I had to assemble everything myself unless i wanted to pay even more money for that ""service"". The guys that showed up were in a rented truck from a local rental place a few blocks down the street. If i didn't tell them where to put things it all ended up in 1 room, even when i wrote on the top of the box ""Basement"" or ""Kitchen"" it ended up in the living room. Now out house that had new redone floors are scratched and gouged. There are marks on the newly painted walls. Furniture is scratched and dinged and I have no idea where to complain since i have no idea who actually moved me. I would never use them and tell everyone i know to never use them, including complaining with the local bureau. Cons: Overcharged, outsourced to another moving company, damages more

Professional Movers 7/28/2009

Due to their rating and quote we chose to use Prudential Van Lines. They were punctual and altough we had to pay a little more than what we ware quoted it was justified and they did an impeccable job. We had been advised up front what charges can be added. I have moved a lot through the years and the service they preformed beat any other company i ever used. They securely wrapped all of our furniture in padding before loading it onto the truck. They were professional, carful and very quick. I would definitely use them again. more

Expert Movers 7/13/2009

I highly recommend these movers. They are professional, punctual, courteous, and careful. They moved me from Newark to Maryland with no problems. I have very "delicate" furniture pieces that were handled with the utmost care. Nothing was broken or marred. Everything was set up at the destination. It was a pleasure to watch the movers as they expertly orchestrated this move. more

I used Prudential movers to move me in February from CT to TX and was actually very pleased with the service. The movers were very professional and you could tell they were experienced as well. My things arrived in Austin within the window of dates they gave me and nothing was damaged. I have and will recommend this company to friends and family. more
