Today is the 6th day that my family and I don't have any heat. Average nightly temp - 20 degrees!!! Prospect is responsible for the faulty install of my furnace that was seeping over 50% of my propane into the air. The local fire department had to shut down my furnace for safety reasons...and guess what...Prospect doesn't care. They won't return any of my calls. They told the HVAC company - ""Sorry - we're not replacing the unit"". It will cost $2500 to replace the unit, over $500 in lost propane...and the cancellation of my brother's 40th Surprise Birthday party (priceless). This is the most unethical business ever. They have hurt and destroyed so many families with their Bankruptcy after which the owner was on a 14 day family vacation in Hawaii....and he continues to destroy families...My husband and I now must decide - Christmas presents for our 4 children or replace a furnace and provide them heat?!?!? \r \r signed - ""freezing family of 6"" 12/09/2010 more

They promised to pay my closing costs, 5% down and lease buy out but now they are trying to make me claim this on my taxes after we closed on the home. They are in breach of contract and have decided to hang up on me and not return my calls.Worst home company eve. They still have not called be back and refunded my money for all of the costs they were supposed to be pay. I strongly advise not purchasing from them! Also my home is brand new and they installed dented appliances and used hardware. Worst buying process I have ever been through and would never recommend anyone to purchase one of their properties. I have a Prospect Home and they refuse to correct the steep drive they left when building home. The grading of the lot was not done correctly and I can't drive up my drive way to get into my garage. There are a couple homes in our subdivision that have the same problem all built by Prospect Homes. Prospect avoids phones calls and will not correct problem. more
