I know this is long, but if you are considering this kennel you MUST read.\r

After my dog stayed at this kennel, and came home with urine burns, soaked in urine, and petrified of everything, I posted the review below. I then also called Primrose to discuss this with the owner due to the treatment of my dog while here. I spoke with an employee who did seem concerned for the health and well-being of my dog, and this person agreed to have the owner contact me. Once I spoke with the owner, I found out that both he and the manager I spoke with were not present at the kennel at all during my dog’s stay. The owner spoke with me about my dog’s problems, and ultimately told me (on 7/30/12) that if I removed my reviews from Citysearch and Yellow pages about his kennel, that he would reimburse me the amount of my dog’s stay due to our concerns with his treatment there, and our concerns about the state he returned to us in. I removed the reviews that day (7/30/12), figuring that I could use the money to bring a trainer to our house to help our dog overcome his newfound fears. Today is 11/27/12, and to this date I have not received my reimbursement from Primrose Lane Farm, nor have they contacted me in any way to set this right. I am disgusted, and have attached my original review below so that everyone considering this kennel can be aware of the way that my dog was treated here before allowing their dog to stay here.\r

After reading all of the wonderful reviews on Primrose Lane Farm, we decided that our dog's first boarding experience would be here while we were on vacation. We have a very social, friendly year old pup who has a lot of energy but has also been trained. We felt very confident in the reviews, but upon picking him up, were shocked and disgusted. Our dog, who is crate trained and can last all night without any accidents, and can last 7 hours during the day without accidents, was pee-soaked. Not just smelling like pee - his stomach, legs, paws, and tail were drenched. This tells us that he was spending way too many hours in a crate to be in this condition. He also has large sores on him from obviously laying around in the crate. We sent toys for him to chew on, which had not seen any obvious use while he was there, and a bed that likewise - looked unused. We heard about play area and dogs being on walks, but did not see any dogs outside of their indoor crated area - no dogs on walks, and the play area that was outside was a crate with 1 dog in it. After asking staff to tell us about his stay (we were very antsy about leaving him for the first time!) the response was - he was well behaved. We don't really know what happened while he was here, but he came back in a state that shocked us. We will not be returning, and I personally am very upset that I allowed my dog to stay here for the week. I understand that there are some great reviews about this place, because that is why we picked it, but if looking for a place to board your dog, please take caution if considering Primrose Lane Farm.
