Precision Import SVC

After a couple of bad experiences with dealerships and other mechanics, my fiance and I found this shop. They are courteous, intelligent, honest and hard-working. I always get great service and a fair price here. I highly recommend Precision Import. My fiance is a car fanatic and he has the wherewithal to know that the shop is well-versed in auto mechanics and reliable. I will never go any where else, ever again. more

Precision Import came to me at the end of a lot of disappointment from other service people. They were recommended to me by somebody in the neighborhood as the people to see. I called them, and they saw me immediately. They went out of their way to help me, and they did an unbelievable job. It was a terrific experience because they are old school, and I have complete trust in them. I have a really old car, and they had to figure out what was wrong with it. They did extensive research, which is what was so special about their job, and they wouldn't let it go until they had it perfect, which they did. It is unbelievable how it is running now. It is obvious that they really live for this. They have unbelievable history and background in this neighborhood, and they know what they are doing. What I liked most about them is that it didn't matter if I was male or female, they go into detail, almost to the point of minutia, about what they are doing. They tell you every step they are doing and why, but they also give options all along the way. They don't intimidate by announcing what they are going to be doing with no alternative options. I really got to work with them as they did everything. They are great guys. They really are terrific. I have such an old car, and I asked them to please get me through winter. They said, "You bet we will." They did everything they promised. more

I've been bringing my Saab 9-3 to Precision Import Service for about 6 months and I am continously impressed by their professionalism, value, and quality of work. I've been to quite a few mechanics in the area, and feel that this is truly the best shop in NOVA for the money. more

My experience with Precision Import has been very good. They are very detailed about explaining which things need done now and which things to think about for the future. They keep me very informed about what is going on, and they are very clear on the invoice. They list everything they did as well the things that I could have done. They were very clear and detailed about my axle. And, they are just nice. I work in Arlington, so sometimes it is more convenient to have small things done at a shop near my work, but for anything major, I go to Precision Import. They are a small, honest company, and I like doing business with them. more

I have been extremely satisfied with Precision Import. I have been using their services for about 2 years and have found them to be extremely competent, fair in pricing, and very accommodating in terms of scheduling. When I call for service I usually get in the next day. Fortunately I haven't had to use them for any major work and have just used their services for things like checkups and oil changes. My car is in there right now to get the windshield replaced because it is cracked. They don't have that service at Precision Import, but they have someone come to their shop to do it so that the customer can still just drop off the car. It is great that they are able to accommodate the customer like that. I find them very knowledgeable about cars, and they explain exactly what they plan to do. They answer any of my questions and call to make sure to authorize any work above and beyond what was discussed when I dropped off the car. At the end they review the bill and invoice with me to make sure I am satisfied. I also like that they mail me reminders about upcoming services. Especially as busy as everyone is, it is nice to know when things are due. Precision Import really emphasizes that if you keep on top of the fluids you are less likely to have so many problems down the road. They are really knowledgeable about my 2 cars and have a history on their computer so that we can look back and see what has been done. They are really pleasant to deal with; I can't say enough positive things about them. I give them very high marks. I have used them so far for 2 years, and I will for sure continue to use them. I have already recommended them to a number of my colleagues and friends. more

I have been taking my cars to Precision for over 25 years and have never had a complaint. Pete, Steve and Don have always given me an accurate estimate of repairs and gotten the job done when promised. They are especially good at tracking down hard-to-find parts for older imports. I literally could not have kept my '84 Audi running without them! more

I have had breaks, transmission, and engine work done with them, and the quality of work is excellent. I have seen them work with other customers and they always bend over backwards. Our 2002 VW Beetle TDI has received the best service possible from Don & Steve at Precision Import Services since 2002. We currently have 224,000 miles on it which we believe is due to the deligent care and honest servicing we've received. We recently had major work done on our 1997 Ford F150 here as well. It has 283,000 miles on it and now runs like new. They are very friendly, informative and skilled and operate with the highest level of responsibility and integrity. We would never take our vehicles anywhere but Precision Import Services. They are simply the best and we highly recommend them! more

Two years ago, the BIL turned me onto this bunch. We are a two BMW family, and i was having difficulty scheduling service at local dealership. I took my car in for scheduled maintenance, and have gone nowhere since. they do what is needed, tell you if anything else should be done, don't try to sell something you don't need, and the work is highly competent and reasonably priced. And, besides that, there is real cheap coke machine. Great shop. more

Back in 1982 I brought my Triumph TR6 to Precision Import when no one else had the expertise to service this vehicle. The Triumph has since gone away, but I continue to return to Precision Import for service on all my vehicles since then. I found all the folks at Precision Import to be honest, fair and trustworthy. Precision Import is simply the Best Auto Service shop in the D.C. Area. These guys know their stuff and Precision Import gives me the piece of mind knowing that they will recommend the proper care for my vehicle - they will not try to sell you something you don't need or inflate their costs. You always know you are getting honest advice and quality service. The folks at Precision Import care about your vehicle and you as a customer and by doing this have earned the loyalty of many. Moved to Falls Church 2 yrs. ago from Alexandria, where I had the greatest mechanic for over 15 yrs. Just became to much of a hassle to schlep over there every time I needed to and then a friend recommended Precision. And I will say that Precision has been equal to and in some cases has exceeded my old mechanic and I would recommend them to anyone. They really take the time to explain the work they do, and I know nothing about cars,but I've always left there feeling like a gearhead. Great job guys! more

They never try to sell you on things that aren't needed like a few other shops that I have been to. They are competitively priced and the hours are convenient for any schedule. I own 4 vehicles and Precision Import is the only place I have gone for service for at least 10 years. I have numerous friends and family that use them as well. Especially compared to the multiple bad experiences I have had at other mechanics and dealerships, Precision Import is great. I have never had to bring anything back after they fix it. Everything always works exceptionally well. The technicians are very generous and have years of experience on any make of car- foreign or domestic. Also, the pricing is very fair, and in most cases cheaper than any dealer. I would highly recommend them. more

I have 4 cars of all different makes, and I take all of them out to Precision Import. They successfully work on all of them. Everything is done professionally. It is not the cheapest place to go, however the work is always done right, so you pay for the quality which you receive. Work done there is always good. I would recommend them to whoever needs car work done, even if it is a little farther away. more
