Kevin Rocks 9/30/2007

I had been going to Poshe for over a year, when my regular nail tech ended up leaving. I decided to schedule my appointment anyways.... And wow am I glad I did. They scheduled me with Kevin, it was the best set of nails I have ever gotten. He is friendly, has fun with his customers, and is great at what he does. I would highly recommend you see Kevin for all your nail needs. more

Kevin's great 9/26/2007

I have had my hair, nails and waxing done at the salon. I have yet to have a bad experience there. The addition of Kevin as a nail tech was a great move. He is very professional and doesn't rush the job. He made my toes and fingers look fantastic for my wedding! I definately will be returning and requesting Kevin for all my nail needs. more

Very talented hair stylists!! 9/21/2007

I have been seeing Lily for years. I left her for a little while, cause a friend of mine at the time, was a stylist and she insisted I get my hair done by her. The whole time, I could not wait to go back to Lily. What a relief when that ""friendship"" was over!! I went back to Lily one year ago and I always love my cuts! That girl knows hair! I can even wait a little longer between cuts, because the cut is so good, it can handle it. I just had to write because I am always very satisfied. Well...I made the ultimate hair mistake...I let my friend do my hair!!! When I walked into Poshe Salon my whole head was orange!! ( I was going for highlights on my dark brown hair. lol) Even though they had two wedding parties coming in soon, they managed to squeeze me in without so much as the blink of an eye!! more

I have been going to poshe salon for the last couple of years and seeing one of their stylists there that i have been a client of for years. I am very busy so my visits are very few and far inbetween but I never had a problem getting in to see my stylist Kiimberly. I was surprised to hear that kimberly had gone somewhere else to work, and even more surprised that they would not tell me where she had gone. Instead the receptinist told me that lynn could get me in and the receptionist said she was very talented. So I went ahead and made the appointment and went in. I was so upset about my hair that I was holding back tears when she was finished hacking at my hair. My color was all wrong and the cut (wich is a very simple 1/2 inch of the bottom and a couple layers in the back) was so horrible!! I have now since found Kimberly who is at ignition hairworks in hillsboro. I hope others that cant find their stylist dont have this expierience. more

Not Consistent -- Overrated 8/8/2007

I felt compelled to write a review of my experiences with Poshe Salon since MSN Citysearch seems to be their primary advertising source. I went to Poshe Salon for the first time in November, 2006. My stylist was Nikki and, overall, the experience was okay. This was due in part to several factors: a) it was a rainy Monday night and b) I gave the stylist explicit instructions written by the girl who normally cuts my hair. So, basically all she had to do was follow the cut that was already there. No problems, except she immediately went for the flat iron after drying my hair. The flat iron is a tool that I prefer to use occasionally, but it would seem that this is the only way they know how to style at Poshe (and they charge $5 extra to do it). more

Mixed Review 8/7/2007

I have had a mixed experience with Poshe. The first time I went was great. The receptionist was so nice and made me so comfortable. Sheril cut my hair and did a great job. Prior to Poshe I had the same stylist for 15 years, so I was nervous to try someone new. Sheril made me so comfortable and did a great job with my hair. I can't say the same thing about my second experience. I walked in and there were two young girls working the counter who barrely acknowledged me. Then when they did I found out that I had been scheduled as a guys hair cut, and Im definetly not a guy! I was Tony this time, as I was told Sheril was unavailable. Which was funny because not 10 minutes after I got there she opened up and was free the whole time I was there. Tony did an ok job. He didn't offer to shampoo my hair and instead dry cut it. The cut was ok, but he didn't take off any length as I had asked and used a razor on my hair, which freaked me out. Within a week I had major flyaways in the front of my hair. I guess you never know what you will get on any given day.... Pros: location, price, clean Cons: inconcistent more

Watch out who you get! 7/27/2007

I went in 3 weeks before my wedding to get solar nails and had never been in before. I got my nails just fine, but then after time around the cutical it started turning pink. I went in again today to get filled before the wedding and they told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. Apparently the woman who worked on me in the frist place wasn't supposed to be doing nails anymore... I'm not sure why she was allowed to! They offered to put color or sparkles on to try and conceal the pink but I dont want that for my wedding! Then the woman doing my nails kept showing all the other co workers what had happened, I just wanted to get the hell out of there! My nails look horrible and if I had time I would go somewhere else and start all over but there's no time left. I will not be going back for any services. more

Was not what I expected!! - Just a misunderstanding 7/14/2007

AFTER : It was just a misunderstanding!!I was surprised that the salon's owner contacted me on the phone and knew who I was( because I didn't think I gave any description of us) and sent us a refund of $ 12 for my husband's haircut as well as a gift card of $12. It was very nice of them. I felt bad writing the bad review the first time,especially Tony being so nice. but we thought we were mislead. Good hair cut & color 6/26/2007

I was bummed when I found out Sharon and Nikki were no longer there. However, I really have liked the salon, so I went to see Rachel. She did a really great job - good on the color and fixed up my hair dye box kit mistake very nicely. And the cut is fresh and trendy, and listened to my desires to keep my hair as long as possible while trying to take off the damaged portion. more

INCREDIBLE Hair Cut, Mediocre Nails.. 6/26/2007

The staff at Poshe were all very friendly and professional. Tony was my hairstylist- I had both a full color as well as a cut. My hair is extremely long and thick, and difficult to work with. I ended up with literally the best cut of my life. My hair is so manageable and soft now, and the color is rich and super shiny. Tony spent an entire hour cutting it, just to get it perfect. I also got a full set of nails while I was there. The manicurist was efficient and obviously skilled, so the nail portion of the manicure looks decent... However, she paid absolutely NO attention to my cuticles, even though I watched her work on the cuticles of the girl next to me (who was recieving the same nail look as me). I think this may be because she had a client waiting for her previously booked appointment, but it was frustrating to pay for a manicure, and leave with rough, overgrown cuticles. Overall, the salon is wonderful, and the prices decent, but I wish my nails were up to par with my hair. Pros: Professional, Experienced Staff Cons: nails more

Can't wait to show off my new hair! 6/24/2007

I went to Lily to get highlights and a major hair cut - about 10 inches taken off. I've had long hair for a while now and was nervous that I'd come out looking like Carol Brady or something. I absolutely LOVE the new 'do'. She did such a great job and was very much a perfectionist about getting every strand of hair just right. The highlights are just how I wanted them. She took the time to check out the example picture that I brought in and even offered to keep it there so the next time I come in she'll know how to trim me up. The price is very reasonable as well - I've been charged an arm & leg at other places and walked out with a cut that I probably could have done myself. I recommend Poshe Salon and Lily especially to anyone looking for a new stylist. I'll be back in 2 months, Lily! more

Great service, great value for the money 6/24/2007

I had permanent eyeliner done with Lynn. I had this procedure done over a year ago at another salon, and it did not turn out well. Lynn had to fix the old line, which was up too high and had turned green, by putting skin colored pigment over it. This was not an easy job, especially considering that I am a very difficult customer because I have a hard time with needles coming close to my eyes and tend to turn my head away from her. She was very patient with me and very nice. I had my first appointment two weeks ago, when she focused mostly on removing the old line. Today I had my touch-up appointment. Great hair stylist 6/22/2007

This is a first time my daughter went to Poshe' Salon to have her hair style but she was not quite sure what she wanted to have. Lily took time to interview my daughter before she styled her hair and it turned out so wonderful and perfect. My daughter was so happy, she loved the style Lily did on her hair. I took pictures of her hair and saved it for a next time. Thanks Lily, You did a great job. more

I went to Poshe salon to do the make up and hairs style before the wedding. (my friend wedding). Lily was very nice, friendly and very professional. She did the excellent job. At the wedding a lot people told me that I looked very pretty like the little princess. It made me feel so good and happy. Thanks Lily. more

Where's my Nikki? 6/12/2007

I have been a loyal customer of Nikki's for years. She has the best attitude and can cut my hair better than anyone ever has before. Not only that, but the head massages she gives during the shampoo are simply heaven!! I called the other day to make an appointment, only to find that Nikki had moved on. Where did Nikki go? I simply dread the thought of suffering through more hairstylists who dont really know how to cut hair. I need my Nikki!!! Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Not very clean, very cramped more

Picture should be worth a thousand words 6/12/2007

UPDATE: after posting my complaint, the salon sent me a gift certificate for another haircut with one of their more experienced stylists (Tony, Sheril, Lily)... i am going to wait until my hair grows out a bit before using this, but I really appreciate the salon's willingness to repair their relationship with me. My advice to people reading reviews is to make sure to go to one of their experienced people (if this is your first time) so you will have a good experience. Pros: Lots of services offered in one place... Cons: Too many problems with ""miscommunication"" (as Poshe puts it) more
