Poshe Salon

I moved to Beaverton 3 weeks ago from Montana. I had a stylist I trusted back there and was paranoid about finding one here. I am extremely particular about my hair and I hate changing stylists. After reading reviews on Cityguide, I decided to give Poshe Salon a try. Lily had great reviews, so I decided to get my hair done from her. It was a wonderful decision !! I called them today and Lily had an opening at 0615PM, which they allocated to me. At about 0515PM, I got a call from the salon and they asked me if I would like to come in earlier as Lily finished her appoinment earlier and was free. My husband and I are currently sharing a car and he was working on it so I couldnt go earlier so we stuck to the original time. When I was about to leave, I got a call for a job interview and I got held up again. I called Poshe and asked them if I could be there by 0630 PM instead of 0615 (they close at 0700PM) and Lily was VERY accomodating. She instantly agreed. She made sure she got what I wanted with my hair and proceeded to cut. While doing my hair, she offered to wax my eyebrows later and I agreed. I was nervous but she made sure I was comfortable and kept checking to see if I was ok. I LOVED my hair and we went on to the eyebrows. She was FAST and REALLY good too. I have never had my eyebrows, lip and chin waxed at this speed ever. And with the speed, the super nice job !! It was 0730PM (30 mins past closing time) by the time we finished, but she didnt rush me or do a half hearted job. My husband always notices my hair and how it looks and even he loved the cut. Infact, he loved it much more than the cut I used to get from my old stylist. Lily really did a wonderful job and my husband is also going to go to Poshe for his haircut whenever he is ready for one. Lily suggested Tony for my husband. I highly recommend Lily. She is very very good. Try her.. you wont regret it. more

I went here based on the great reviews from citysearch and even went to a stylist that was reccomended (Nikki). I have worked in a salon before and the receptionist seemed new and very unknowledgable about products and how to be a receptionist. The environment wasn't impressive and seemed a little cramped as strip mall salons are. I came on a Saturday which was probably my first mistake since they are busy. This haircut was to be a reward for my recent weight loss and I wanted a big change. I asked for magazines for ideas and asked for help on choosing a style that would compliment my face shape. The stylist seemed annoyed and uninterested in helping me choose a good style. She proceeded to razor the heck out of my hair and I was left with a poufy cut that didn't really resemble the photo I'd chosen. She didn't seem interested in talking during the cut and I had to ask her to explain what products she was using and why. She didn't help me choose any products after the cut and I had to have the receptionist recommend products that she knew nothing about. When I got home I was disppointed to find that part of my hair was already falling out of the style and I went back to have her fix the cut. I was very embarrased to even have to do that. The receptionist pointed to the stylist's station and told me to go see her even though she had a client currently sitting in the chair. I was waved away and I sat in the small waiting area until Nikki came and brought me back to her chair. I didn't even have to explain what was wrong since it was apparent and she snipped the points and sent me on my way. She was obviously in a hurry to fix it and it was even worse than before! I really wanted my hair to look good as I was going out of town to see family that I hadn't seen in a while and I had to wait until I arrived there and have a stylist out of town fix it so that it would style properly. I wouldn't go back to Poshe Salon even if I were given a free haircut. Pros: Location, Parking, online scheduling Cons: Rushed, cramped, unprofessional more

I never wrote any review before but I have to write this review because Poshe Salon is really deserve it. Where can you get a more friendly and classy atmosphere than at the Poshe Salon? Even for the out of town people like me who travel a lot and any city I visited I often get my hair done before meeting with my customers, this is the first time I saw a salon that pack of customer due to their operation and services. Eventhough they have many customers, they scheduled me in and work efficiently to meet my needs. Especially, the owners is very friendly and down-to-earth who is greeting each customer personally and asking for their opinion of the services to improve upon. I should not forget to mention the professional service level of the workers at this salon, they are polite, kind, and funny. One last thing, the price is right. I was running late for a wedding and needed a haircut badly. Fortunately for me, I called a friend and was referred to this salon. I went there and had a wonderful experience. Although I did not make an appointment , they were happy to assist me as soon as they had the time. My hair stylist (from now on, that is) Lily is quite a professional. In such a short time ( I needed it quick) she was able to cut my normally uncontrollable hair into as good a shape as can be. Needless to say, I couldn't be any happier. Not only this salon is very accommodating, they are very courteous and professional. They could easily turn me down that day but instead gave me good service and saved me and my image:-) more

I had an appointment for a backfill. My stylist said I didn't need a back fill & proceeded with a regular fill. I think she realized I was dissappoined & did offer to do the back fill, but I think she just had scheduled her next appt too soon after mine to complete the service I had an appt for. Although she had done a good job in the past & uses good product I will not return since packing in clients as quickly as possible seems to be more important that giving the best possible service to the client at your station. more

I have gone to Poshe Salon a few times and have always liked the results. The last time I went though it felt as if the placed changed. It feels a lot more crowded. They have added nail stations by the pedicure area and it feels crammed in. I've never had services pushed on me before there, but when I went in for a pedicure they asked to do my nails and give me a wax. If I wanted to have those services, I would have made an appointment for them. Before I was even done, they asked me when I planning my next appointment. I also felt a bit like I was on a production line because before I was even completed she started on her next client and she was going back and forth between us. It just didn't feel hygenic to me or make me feel pampered. more

Went to Poshe' Salon to have haircut and colors. Both LiLy and Tony are excellent. They are really professional and very friendly service. I love to have these two to do my haircut and recommend to you all. Especially Lily did a wonderful job of party dress up for me. She styled my hair and made up my face when I went to a party. All my friend said ""you look like a model"". I love Lily and Tony. Thanks a lot. more

Went to Poshe for the first time after reading all the rave reviews and what a nightmare! With the recommendation of the front desk, I went to Sharon. Not only did she not know how to cut hair but there was hair all over my purse!!! You could expect better customer service at SuperCuts! I complained to the management and was sent to Tony. Tony is definately the saving grace of this place. He managed to shape the mess that was created and make my hair look normal again. I dont recommend going to anyone else here. Pros: Tony -true professional stylist. Can fix the hair mistakes left by others. Cons: Went in for a 1 inch trim. Left with 4 inches being cut. more

I moved here from the east coast 2500 miles away. Unfortunately I could not bring my hair stylist with me. I am very picky about my hair. I had a very bad experience at one of those ""chain"" Salons I think it was Perfect Butcher, or maybe, Sad Cuts. But I decided to Visit Poshe' Salon in Hillsboro. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly smile, by Lily who turned out to be my stylist. I didn't have to sign any waitng list . And I was offered something to drink which was great. I was sort of apprehensive after ""Penelope"" ( I will Never forget her name) Sliced and diced my wig at Perfect Butcher. But I must Say ""Lily "" Made My Day! She was fast, yet gentle, and she had this energy and confidence about her that just put you at ease. I didn't have to tell her what size clippers I use (since I am not a stylist ). She even gave me a New hair style! And on top of that she gave me tips on how to maintain my New look! And recomended products that were very affordble. So Guys, Men, Boys, If you are Looking for a Real ""Master Stylist"" you need to try Lily! I have seen her work on many types of hair,since meeting her and I know she can work miracles! thats why I will always be a Posheman. Cheers to you LILY! Oh and Ladies I recommend Lily for Color and Highlighting. My wife had never had Highlight before and had not cut her hair for 5 years(yes ,very long hair) because of a bad experience with a stylist before visiting Lily, I convinced her to try it out. Lily cut (into a bob, very short)her hair colored and highlighted it and she loves it! Pros: Service, Affordable, versatility in staffing, friendly, Clean, no long waits, Products..... I went to see Sheril last month for a cut & color & she did a wonderful job! She was friendly & made sure to ask me questions to get my hair exactly how I wanted it. And, to top it off, it took her less than 2 hours to do my hair! I highly recommend this salon & I myself will definitely be going back. Pros: Price, Fast Service, Wonderful hair salon more

Today I went to Poshe for the first time. Tony did a fantastic job highlighting and cutting my hair. He is very talented and friendly. My overall experience was great. The salon is very clean the prices are good and the entire staff made me feel very welcome. I will definitely return and refer others. Pros: Friendly, talented staff and convienient location more

Once again I had a great experience at Poshe Salon. Today Tony cut and put highlights in my hair and did a fantastic job. I would definately recommend him to anyone and visit him again. Everytime I visit Poshe I always get great service and am completely satisfied. Keep up the great work! more

I scheduled an appointment for a hair cut and color, when I arrived the gal was running really late and I had to wait for over 30 minutes. When I finally sat down I explained what I wanted and she said no problem, but when it was finished she had ruined my hair. It wasn't the right color and she cut all these choppy layers that look terrible. I also was displeased by how dirty the place is. Save yourself your time and money- don't go! My whole family has been going to Lily for years, and we were very exicted when she got her own salon. She has cut and colored my hair for close to 6 years now, and she even did a wonderful job on my up-do for my prom. Nikki has also done my hair a few times and she is just as wonderful. I love having Mon do my nails, they always look amazing. Everyone there is very nice, very professional, and always give great service. more

I would not return to Poshe-ever. My experience there was unforgivingly memorable. Upon walking into the salon, one of the stylists was doing her hair-in front of everyone in the salon. This seems to me very unprofessional. She turned out to be my stylist. When I sat down in the salon chair and took a look around I couldn't help but notice grime, hair everywhere, and very messy appearance of the overall area. From there, I was asked to dry my own hair while my stylist went to mix color. Hello, aren't I paying you a nice sum of money to do that?!!! Finally, she didn't put conditioner in my very long hair, and proceeded to rake through and rip out my hair while drying and styling. A definite nightmare. To top it all off, the final price was much more than what what was quoted to me over the phone. more

Sharon Hickey is absolutely the best stylist I have ever had! I really love her color work and the haircut is perfect for me. I don't have the ideal hair, it's a bit thin, straight and pretty gray...but she does miracles with it! Poshe has a friendly atmosphere too. I highly recommend Sharon for anyone who has been dissatisfied with a cut or color somewhere else. Pros: stylists with knowledge and ability Cons: none that I have experienced more

The first time Sheril Klein cut and colored my hair, I knew I had finally found my stylist. She suggested a style that would give me an updated look, and I have received so many compliments. She also helped me select a color which looks terrific. Sheril listens to you and is able to create the results that you want. She is professional, conscientious, caring, and creative. I also had one of Sheril's facials and would recommend anyone to try it for an amazingly relaxing and refreshing experience! Thank you, Poshe Salon, for having Sheril on your staff! more
