Brittany did several very special dinners for us. She is professional, reliable, and a wonderful chef. She uses local products including those fresh from her own Garden. Her menus are original and delicious and she adjusted to our non-commercial kitchen without a flinch. She is calm, flexible, confident, and pleasant to work with and her knowledge of food and wine impressive. I highly recommend her for all your personal chef needs. more

I recently hired Brittany Baldwin of Portland Home Chef to cater a baby shower brunch. She fed 20 people a memorable spread that included a summer veggie quiche, berry clafouti, eggs Taos, Oregon berry summer tart, muffins and brownies. My guests and I were so thrilled with the feast that I hired Brittany again a few months later to prepare a selection of made-to-order meals; she stocked my freezer in preparation for the first few days of motherhood. I hired Portland Home Chef to make meals for my daughter's birthday week. I couldn't think of a more wonderful gift for a hardworking mom than to come home from work to a dinner prepared by her personal chef. The best part is that these were no ordinary dinners. Brittany Baldwin cooked the meals with fresh and natural ingredients, everything from scratch, flavorful and artistic. Her meals pleased my daughter, her husband and a 12 year old, sometimes finnicky eater. The first dinner (salmon with a pesto crust) was outstanding and served beautifully. The remaining meals were ready to go into the oven and be served within an hour, I really wanted something special, and Portland Home Chef helped me accomplish this goal at a very reasonable price. You won't go wrong giving this gift. Pros: Everything was taken care of - planning, shopping, prep and clean-up. I'm an extremely picky eater and like my food delicious, seasonal, fresh, organic, and reasonably priced. Portland Home Chef has managed to surpass all my expectations. Brittany is skilled, personable, reliable and easy to work with. I use her for family and client events and everyone is always delighted. I previously did most of the work myself and ended up spending a fortune in food costs and countless hours in preparation and cleanup. The luxury of being able to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with my guests as each course is flawlessly presented makes entertaining a joy and something I look forward to instead of dreading. Brittany put together a wonderful dinner for my husband?s 40th birthday party. Thanks to Brittany, this was such a stress-free evening. I was able to enjoy the evening with family and friends without having to spend the whole night in the kitchen. She made an excellent dinner, provided great cooking demonstration and did all of the clean-up. Brittany is very knowledgeable, easy to work with and has a delightful personality. Brittany's cooking is some of the best I've had. You would have a hard time finding a personal chef with her level of skill. She is also a dynamic chef and can provide delicious meals specific to your dietary needs. That has come in handy for parties where not all the guests are omnivores like myself. I have had the opportunity to enjoy the gastonomical delights of the ""Portland Home Chef"" for a few years now. The meals are always varied, with fresh ingredients either from the Chef's own garden or else bought locally and organic. I have had steak tacos, Mediterranean chicken, and pies of all kinds. Herbs and spices abound, and the PH Chef is always on top of the serving. A houseful of artists and writers had a delightful dinner experience, and yes, she really does do the dishes, no matter how you argue. She comes highly recommended by her fans and friends. I have children with very different tastes, a major food allergy and a demanding schedule so meals have always been a bit of a challenge. I signed up for Portland Home Chef nearly two years ago and quality of daily life has improved dramatically as a result. No more racking my brain for menus acceptable to the entire family, shopping with precious weekend time, cooking at the end of a long workday, or throwing out uneaten food. The weekly menu selection is varied and appealing; the food is uniformly high quality and healthful; and the chef leaves the kitchen in immacuate condition. The arrangement could not be more convenient. And the most amazing thing is that I am actually saving money by avoiding restaurant meals and unwise shopping choices. On top of all that, Portland Home Chef provides excellent catering for in-home events, fresh fruits and vegetables from her organic garden, and is a dream to work with. more

she makes my life so much easier and she saves us so much money by getting the grocies for us. it seems like everytime we go to the store, we spend way more than we need to on needless things or expensive packaged organic food. why when we can save money and have yummy organic food that we pick from her extensive menu. she comes once a week and sets us up and even lunches. i have never eaten so well or healthy in my life. she is so worth it!!!
