Best

You just need to think Star when you treat yourself because when you are in West Hollywood, You are Star and knowing that you came thus far... you have to take it all the way.... ...

Worst

Pinkberry, the talk of the city,,, I swear have these people even TRIED other frozen yogurt places? I'm sorry but Pinkberry ranks kind of low compared to the rest of them.. I love...

Not worth the hype, decent yogurt, McFlurry/Jamba Juice-like, Pricey 8/28/2006

Two flavors of yogurt: Plain or Green Tea. Multiple toppings including cereals, fruits, granola, and chocolate chips. One plain medium combo with granola, blueberry, and blackberry for $4.95. Considering a yogurt from the market and a parfait from the local McDonald's cost about a dollar, I didn't find the place a bargain. Hyped up, give-it-a-try kind of place. more

great yogurt, customer service is improving 8/24/2006

i've been to pinkberry several times in the past month. the first few times i went, the staff was horrible. they were extremely rude and were fooling around the whole time, which i thought was a major reason for the very long line. recently, however the staff has changed and they seem to be more friendly and faster at serving the customers. i have been having no problems at all and the yogurt is really really good. i have actually been to red mango in korea. to the people that think that pink berry is just a knock off, it's not like red mango is in the united states. i believe they are not even in seoul which is where most of the population and business of korea is located. the fact that pinkberry is here in california is actually wonderful, in my opinion. we get to eat and enjoy some of the wonderful yogurt. that's how business works. Pros: Great Yogurt Cons: Parking more

Overhyped. 8/24/2006

So I drove 45 minutes to get here, two minutes to order and leave. And what does it taste like?\r \r A softer, smoother, slightly more sour, frozen version of the Yoplait yogurt I buy from Ralphs.\r \r \r This is what the big deal is? Granted the fresh fruit is plentiful and the yogurt has a pleasant aftertaste, but nothing to where I want ""to IV into my veins"" like the LA Times article wrrote about.\r Pros: smooth texture, nice aftertaste, plentiful fruit Cons: not that big a deal more

Real yoghurt 8/17/2006

It doesn't taste like ice cream, it has a real yoghurt taste that I find delightful.\r \r I tried to get a medium with half plain and half green tea, but they would only swirl it, not put it side by side. And they charge you for a medium AND a small if you want a medium with two flavors. Just get two smalls.\r \r The staff is rude. The lines are long. It's fun once, and the stuff is good, but not posting nutritional information makes me wonder about their ethics. Ripping off Red Mango and preventing them from selling here just sort of hammers the nail in. The owner doesn't care about the neighborhood or her customers at all.\r \r Good stuff, but do you want to support busineses like that? Pros: Tastes nice. Got to have more calories than she states, and no nutritional info listed. Cons: Expensive, rude, no parking more

Loved this place before everyone found out about it, now... 8/16/2006

I still love the yogurt, and yes, I am happy that the owners are having such success, although I have to say I have been dissappointed as of late. No, it's not the parking situation (which is hopless) as much as it is that the portions aren't what they used to be, and the service is the worst. Yes, I know it may not be a dream job for the kids at the counter, but hey, it is your job to be somewhat friendly when you are taking money at the register. You don't dig your gig, then find something that isn't customer service related (maybe a mailroom?). I have been coming here a year and change and drive 20 miles from my house just to eat this tasty treat, it's a drag though when you have to deal with long lines, parking issues and nasty teenagers behind the counter on top of it. Have to say though, it's still the best yogurt in town. Pros: Yummy yogurt, clean establishment Cons: salty employees, long lines, no parking more

Best Frozen Yogurt In Town 8/16/2006

Im not really sure what all hype about Red Mango is about, but what I do know is that Pink Berry has excellent frozen yogurt, and, in my humble opinion, the best frozen yogurt in LA. The toppings are fresh, and the frozen yogurt is unique in its taste and texture. It is surprisingly refreshing, and I would choose Pink Berry over any other ice cream or frozen yogurt shop in a split second. If you want a sub sandwich, you have about 10 different establishments to choose from. If you want coffee, you have even more options to choose from. If you want ice cream or frozen yogurt, you also have about just as many. So what if it is similar or dissimilar to something else? Pink Berry stands alone as the best frozen yogurt in LA, and no one could persuade me differently. The owner has brought a product to LA that is already popular somewhere else, and we are all the better for it. more

Pinkberry is a knockoff and most likely no better for you than ice cream. 8/11/2006

I had to go after hearing the buzz since I love frozen yogurt. I had the shaved ice - It tasted good - on the wall of the restaurant is a listing of all the health benefits of yogurt. The employees were rude and it was expensive. But it tasted good. Then I remembered having the very same thing in Korea last year. I called my sister-in-law who lives there and she told me this....\r \r It's called binsoo which is all over korea. Basically shaved ice with yogurt and fruit. They sell many flavors including green tea all over. But the 2 main chains are Red Mango and get this...Iceberry! She even ripped off the name! Even the stores themselves look like they are designed right after Red Mango. \r \r They most likely import this stuff from Korea, most likely in powdered form. The problem is that the powdered form kills almost all the active cultures. Leaving it like basically soft-serve ice cream with fruit topping for $6-$11 served by rude employees.\r \r I hope I'm wrong about the yogurt - but who can tell since they do not post nutritional information as of yet. more

Very very disappointing 8/10/2006

I tried Red Mango about two years ago, and i really loved it. I literally tried every single Frozen Yogurt shop in LA just to find the similar taste. When I heard about pinkberry and the concept of this store, I thought I could finally taste the delicious frozen yogurt that I've been missing out for years. and I was WRONG. This wasn't the fresh taste that i fell in love in Red Mango. It was sugary. I did hear that the owner of pinkberry stole the recipe from Red Mango and registered the name ""Red Mango"" just to stop the real Red Mango from coming here. I hope the problem settles and Red Mango opens here in the US as soon as possible. more

good call 8/7/2006

we were out for a birthday dinner and were trying to decide between pink berry or our usual-go-to crepe place and i'm glad we went with pink berry! yes, the line was long and yes, the customer service could've been better, and yes, parking was rough, but it was all worth it. the line moves pretty quickly; wouldn't you be annoyed taking orders ALL DAY LONG? i mean, give 'em a break. we parked in the 24 Fitness garage, but witnessed three cars getting tickets and one car getting towed. just read the signs - what do you expect? it IS weho. \r \r as for its nutritional value, all pink berry claims is non-fat. the thing's gotta have sugar in it - fruit naturally has sugar (which means carbs) and fiber, too. at least the fruit is fresh! and with all things, taken in moderation and it's fine. only in LA would ppl freak out about caloric content. it's good-a** frozen yogurt!!! and where else can you get a childhood classic of cap'n crunch as a topping? yum yum yum. all 7 of us enjoyed our desserts and will definitely go back for more! Pros: fresh toppings, friendly ppl in line, yogurt that actually tastes like yogurt Cons: unhappy cashier, a little cramped inside, long wait more

Believe the hype! 8/7/2006

If you're willing to wait 30 minutes, then it's the best yogurt in town. They have a variety of fresh fruits, which is a plus. The green tea yogurt didn't taste that much different from the original yogurt. All in all a good experience :) Pros: tastes good, fresh fruit, not too many choices which may actually be a good thing. Cons: 30 minute wait, and good luck w/ parking. more

Best yogurt shop in LA. 8/7/2006

This is the best yogurt shop in LA. The natural yougurt and several selections of toppings make it a healthy yet great alternative to Ice cream. Good job. more

Red Mango is coming to LA! 8/6/2006

I heard that Red Mango is coming to LA sometime soon! I hope they open a shop right across Pink Berry to let LA know that the real thing is here! more

good yogurt. what else you want? 8/3/2006

Been there, tried it and quite frankly, it was good. But for all the negative comments and reviews, its a damn yogurt shop-they serve a great product. if you want great service and want to be pampered, go to the ritz. all you are just plain envious and angry that a KOREAN IMMIGRANT WOMAN, came over to your damn neighborhood, opened a small yogurt shop with probably $50,000 and now she's now or soon to be a multi-millionaire business woman. while you were slaving away at your corporate 9-5 job, she had the guts and risked what a true successful person would do, seize the moment and the opportunity when it presents itself. \r Now, would you have these same, harsh negative comments if the founder, owner were caucasian? more

No nutritional info on Pink Berry! 7/25/2006

First, all you people who go to Pink Berry are being fooled. Yes, it tastes good, but so does all frozen yogurt from a good store. They don't list their ingredients or nutritional information anywhere and i can't believe LA folks are falling for it. Thought you all liked Nonfat! \r It's a fad that everyone is feeding on. Stick with shops that tell the truth and show you their actual ingredients.....! I was there and went to the store to see what all the fuss was about....\r Wow, rude people who said just ""No"" when I asked if they had nutritional info....shame, shame.... Pros: cute store Cons: lines, rude people, no ingredient statements more

tasted too sugary 7/25/2006

this stuff taste like its full of sugar??? I'm not sure this stuff is healthy like they claim to be??? Pros: healthier than ice cream Cons: could use less sugar more

Great!!! 7/20/2006

I have been going to pink berry for a year now, I remeber when I was able to sit and hang out now the only hanging out is in line. The yogurt is amazing and toppings are usually fresh, however, the staff has become a little miserable, the cleanliness is moderate. Still visit once a week though. Pros: non-fat! Cons: PARKING!!! more

frozen yogurt yogurt! 7/19/2006

i love this place. its a guilty pleasure, thats well, not. i just like to get plain. i like the fruit toppings but the fruit is soo cold that it takes away from the subtle flavor of the frozen yogurt. its best just to eat the yogurt as soon as you buy it. i took some out for a party once and its just not the same the next day. Pros: healthier than ice-cream, delicious! Cons: expensive but worth it, parking and PARKING! more

FANTASTIC YOGURT 7/16/2006

Decided to stop by here after watching a story on the KTLA Morning News. Since when does TV news do a big story on frozen yogurt? Anyways, my wife and I stopped by Saturday night after dinner to see what all the fuss was about and holy smokes!!!!!!! There was a line coming out the door and going all the way to Santa Monica Blvd. WTF?????????????? I've never seen a line like that just for yogurt. Surprisingly, the wait wasn't too bad and when we got the yogurt(mine had strawberry, pineapple & blueberry toppings), it was DELICIOUS. We've never had yogurt like this before. I can't stand the yogurt that's sold in those mom and pop places that taste too creamy and artificial. Pinkberry's is completely different. I can see why so many people come here. The place has a nuevo/chic atmosphere and appears to have become a local gathering place for dessert. Thanks KTLA for introducing me to this place and ouch to my wallet as I've already gone back twice and plan on going back more often. Pros: Delectabliy delicious more
