I purchased a 2011 Yamaha VX Deluxe from Pete Cycle and paid $8,225.00 it and I decided to trade it in on May 10, 2012, so I called them up and asked what is the trade in value and I was told by Brian it was $5,700.00 so I put my finances in line and had my bank cut a check for the difference minus my trade. I was originally suppose to complete the deal on Friday May 11, 2012, however I was not able to, so I called them and told them I would be up tomorrow after 12 noon. I proceeded to go there and arrived there at 3pm and went to the bathroom no one greeted me or said hello. After I returned from the bathroom the general manager Brad approached me and I said I am here to trade my jet ski in and he said, yea, we will give you $3,000 for your ski. I said what, how did we go from $5,700 to $3,000.00 and he started going on about I was suppose to be there yesterday and that was relevant to the trade value. I then told him that Brian stated the NADA trade value is right around $5,700.00 however he began to act like it did not matter what I was told, he stated I can either trade the ski at that cost or sell my ski out right to someone but that is all he can offer. He further stated we are not currently taking any used skis, now here resides the problem. They could have told me on Thursday or Friday that they were not interested in doing any late model trades, however they did not and had me thinking I was going to trade my jet ski in for $5,700.00. Bottom line they are crooks. I am a veteran of the Navy, if you are on active duty or retired, do not purchase from Pete?s cycle. They will try to rip you off for your trade!
