Troy at Peter Levi is not only great at customer service, he is an outstanding trouble shooter! I called because my water bill had tripled and I knew I had a leak. In what I thought was an unrelated issue, this winter my PG&E bill had skyrocketed and my actual usage had increased considerably!
Troy came out and quickly found the leak -- in the main water pipe from the street to my home and fixed it. After he completed the work the meter continued to spin rapidly so he detected a second leak which required replacing the entire pipe between the street and the house. His charges for this work were extremely fair and reasonable! Unfortunately the meter told us there was still another leak. I expected that because I had experienced a very 'warm floor' around my sink and dishwasher. He's now going to find and repair THAT leak - which is inside the house, under the ceramic tile floor. Because I live in an Eichler with radiant heat, I figured that was the problem. Troy suggested that wasn't the case - that it was probably the house water. During his visits I'd complained to him about my PG&E gas usage being quite high and wondered if my radiant heat boiler could be the reason. He suggested, because of the amount of floor that was warm, that it sounded like a leak in a 'house' water pipe. He further determined that this was probably the reason for my consistent increased gas usage. Because I had a warm water leak in my floor, my (gas) water heater kept turning on to replace the warm water that was leaking out to the floor! Not only will Troy fix my plumbing, but he has also determined the cause and is in the process of fixing the reasons for my skyrocketing water and gas bills! Now that's a great plumber!!!
