Their dog cages, I can say, are of high quality and standards. Impressive. Considering that I bought mine for a low, low price, it lasted for about one year already, and I'm sure that it's here to stay. Kudos to them. more

Rocky Loves Pet Camp 2/20/2010

Rocky and me love this place. I knew after our first visit there, that I would never use any place again!!! Thank to Pet Camp i don't feel so guilty about going away on vacation! Pros: Best Boarding Place in the Bay Area more

Great place to board your dog 2/10/2010

When I was in the lobby dropping off my dog I noticed how excited other dogs were to be here. Also the counselors knew the dogs by name. It made it feel very personable and that they really care about the animals. Pros: Friendly and caring staff more

AVOID at any COST 7/29/2008

THIS PLACE is TERRIBLE. I WAS A LOYAL FAN IN THE BEGINNING, AFTER I RETURNED FROM A TRIP MY DOGS EYES WERE CLOSED SHUT WITH SLEEP AND MUCUS. I WAS SOOO DISGUSTED, BUT I GAVE PET CAMP ANOTHER TRY. MICHELLE, PROMISED AND PROMISED THIS WAS JUST A MISUNDERSTANDING. THEY PROMISED TO WIPED THE SLEEP OUT MY COCKERS EYES. AGAIN, I PICKED HIM UP AND HIS EYES WERE FILLED WITH MUCUS AND CRUSTED SLEEP. THE LADY AT THE FORNNT DESK HAD TO GO GET A HOT TOWEL TO HELP ME PRY THE CRUST FROM HIS EYES. JOHN, THE MANAGER, TRIED TO TELL ME THAT MY DOSG EYES WERE CLEANED AN HOUR AGO.THEY DON'T TAKE OF YOUR PET IN A WAY, WHICH WARRANTS $45.00 A DAY. YOU GET YOUR DOG BACK SMEELY, COVERED IN URINE, HUNGRY AND THEIR EYES CLOSED SHUT. BASICALLY, YOU ARE PAYING YOUR PET TO BE LOCKED IN A CAGE FOR DAYS WITH MINIMAL CARE. THIS IS COMMON SENSE. PEOPLES PET'S ARE LIKE CHILDREN. ONE WOULD NEVER RETURN A CHILD THAT THEY ARE WATCHING TO THE PARENTS WITH CRUSTED SLEEP IN THEIR EYES, FULL DIAPER AND SNOTTY NOSED. I HOPE. Cons: PET neglect, over priced and terrible service more

Awesome kennel!!! 1/11/2007

Our little girl Uma loves going to Pet Camp! It's the only kennel she's ever liked. On the way there, when we turn down the street, she starts to get excited! Once we get inside, they recognize her by name on site (even though she only stays a couple times a year) and she doesn't even say goodbye to us, but just trots off happily, wagging her tail. Pros: Excellent staff! Great facility more

Doggy day camp! 7/19/2006

This place is ideal if your dog is only going to need a place to stay for a few days. It?s $40 a night, which seems like a lot at first, but it?s better than having your dog stay in a cage. There are play areas and beds made of towels for the dogs, and there is even music playing in the background all day. If I need to leave my dog for a day or two, I leave him here with no worries! PROS: Great for a short time, attentive staff CONS: A little pricey more

Definitely not for cats! 5/23/2006

We left our cat there for 2 weeks over the holidays. I have to say the whole operation looked well-run and efficient though definitely more attention is paid to the dogs. The cat's room is this tiny little hallway. They have to stare at a blank wall only 3 ft in front of the cages and poor things must be traumatized by all the dog noises going on just outside where they groom the dogs! I can't comment on the playroom since they never let me see it when I visited. I don't think the level of service is really what you would expect given the price. They say all the animals get personalized attention but my cat's fur was the dullest it's ever been after a stay in a boarding place, evidence that she received no petting whatsoever. I wouldn't pay for this kind of treatment again. Pros: not many Cons: hard to get there, overpriced, not attention to cats more

Excellent pet care 1/18/2006

I've entrusted Pet Camp with my pets, both canine and feline, for over seven years. First Molly and Big Guy (gone now), and now Max, Fiesta and Sam. Max stays at Pet Camp and the cats now go to their Cat Safari facility. The staff provides the kind of care and attention you'd want for your pets. They take the time to find out what your pet likes and how they like to interact. I also love that it's a green business. I don't know of another boarding place that is. Pros: Personalized care, fun activities, green business more

Big Facility Nice Staff 7/31/2005

Left 2 cats there for 30 days in 2003 due to emergency trip. I liked the people (I'm very particular about my beloved cats) and trusted them. I would use them again in an emergency, but the two things my cats didn't like was (a) being in a room with other mewing "inmates" which rattled their nerves and (b) the other cats had fleas. For short trips, you're better off using a local cat sitting service for in-home visits. Pros: Staff attentive, Courteous, Humane Cons: Fleas, Caged, A bit pricey more

Don't be late 6/17/2005

If you can get an appointment to board your pet, then you are doing well because they constantly tell you to book way way in advance for the honor to have your pet with them. Remember that they have a pick up of 11AM. We were running late and they charged a full day for being 1 hour late and proceeded to lecture us, while still making us pay. If you would like better customer service, you might want to consider somewhere else. Cons: Hard to get to, Poor customer service, Expensive more
