Pep Boys

So i went there for two tires and alignment "will take an hour and a half"....suuuure it will, fine well go walk to target. Get back they didn't even start yet. Oh we was going to call we can't do you're alignment you need tie rods ball joints control arms etc. w.t.f!! So i declined that. Just put the tires on. I'm a lincoln tech graduate and a.s.e cert parts guy for napa so now im pissed, why? Two days later my suspensions popping my car is smoking and i just replaced the lower arm on the passenger before i took it there along with an oil change it was running great now i know they sabotaged my whip. Also my wife went to check on it and shes said they was all under the hood and scattered like roaches when they seen her watching. Funny they all drive hondas and i drive an integra, word from the wise go to mom and pops shops they need you not the other way around!! Dont believe me take your car there, simple. more

I wish I had good things to say about Pep Boys in Santee, C., But that wouldn't be telling the truth. The only two people in the store actually working were the women cashiers. And both of them knew more than any of the "boys" working there. The "service manager" was a complete joke. I watched 5 cars drive off from the outside service lane because he didn't even acknowlege that they were waiting. It took me less time to get my tire repaired at Discount tire than it took me to order a simple part from the parts department. And Discount tire fixed my tire for free. more

I went to the Pep Boys located in Santee over the weekend to get an oil change. When I approached the counter there were employees sitting there looking at a coin collection in a magazine. Neither of them bothered to stop what they were doing to acknowledge my presence. After a few moments one of the employees stopped what he was doing, looked at me with an annoyed sigh and asked me how he could help me. I explained that I would like an oil change and the other gentleman said there was one car in the bay and one in front of me, but they should be able to get me out within an hour. I said that was fine; I filled out the paperwork and handed them my keys. While I was killing time I noticed that out of the 15 or so employees working, none of them were actually working. They were all standing around, outside taking smoke breaks, or ignoring their customers. I could not tell who was in charge and none of them were wearing name tags. Not at all thrilled with the service I received today. After having my vehicle towed to their location, I attempted to register my vehicle for service to get it repaired. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to register me outside, I proceeded inside. Walked right up to an empty counter where a gentleman was standing told him why I was there and that I had called beforehand to let them know my vehicle was coming. He then tried to look up my vehicle to get it registered but it would not pull up in their system, no big deal?Right? Wrong! \r He then stated that since it would not pull up he could not get the vehicle serviced and I would have to wait for a manager to get back from lunch. Completely Puzzled by now!!!! I was then left at a counter while he checked in other clients (some even new) so why could this not be done for me??? I mean are these people even trained properly? Pep Boys really is one of the best options when it comes to purchasing parts, equipment, or accessories for your vehicle.The staff as a whole knows their stuff, and the selection is large enough to satisfy without being overwhelming. The prices are fairly good, and though one may save a dollar or two by going to a Wal*Mart or something, it's often worthwhile to purchase from a store that has actual knowledge of the product they sell. more
