Pep Boys

I bought a Pro-Start Platinum battery on "sale" for 84.99 and got stuck because it wasn't holding a charge. I brought it back to them and while in the shop they tried two more batteries that were lemons too. They charged me a 15.00 labor fee. I didn't care as long as they tested it and I could get to where I had to go. Nine months go by and the same thing happens. Bring it back and they replaced it for another 17.00 labor charged which I balked at but they didn't want t hear it, AND they never told me in the beginning that there would be a charge again. VERY unprofessional not making good for a bad product. more

Horrendous service. I took my car in for a replacement battery. After about 2 weeks I was stranded and the car wouldn't start. I had a tow truck come take me back to pep boys. They swapped out the battery for a new one and the mechanic broke all the bolts inside the car. He tried to cover this up but I noticed it right away when they returned the car to me. I complained to the manager who obviously did not care. 2 weeks later, and this morning I was stranded again. Buyer beware, they will never touch my car again. more

Worse place in long island if you have a need to fix you're car I recomend don't go to this place they charge you to much for so call "service" they say they have. I walk out of this place with out $132 and not a thing fix my car I belive they are runing a pretty good scam this people on this place more

I think they are rude and little bully as well as very high rate charging repair place i ever experienced. They screwed me up 2 times and then i started to learn and fix my cars. Their parts are reasonable price but if you don't know about cars and problems, they got you!!! They robbed my mother and sister in different time and they recovered the money thru BBB. Thanks BBB. 9 out of 10 people who experienced pepboys will not go back to them. State safety and emission yearly inspection is another way they rob people. They want replace all break pads,wipers blades etc,etc,even if they are in good condition. Next time if you suspect they are lying about it, take the car to any neighbor hood gas station and let them inspect it and most of the time they will say your brakes are in good condition!!. I have nothing against them, but this is the fact about pepboys. more

the most unproffessonal place . treated my mother like dirt. nasty, rude, intimidating. My mom left there hysterical. They try to take advantage of women and sell them unnecessary things. Horrible. Will never go back there again more
