My family, who has moved dozens of times, found that they were NOT PROFESSIONAL. The problems started right after paying the down payment of $75 prior to the move. THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS...(1) unclear and unreliable communication and (2) heavy pressure on negotiating costs. First, the movers asked if they could come 3 hours late. Then, they sent 4 movers (which costs more) instead of the requested 3. The lead mover discussed the contract and ADDITIONAL COSTS for more than 30 minutes ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE, even after the contract was secured via phone/internet prior to the move date. The movers hardly spoke English and moved the furniture and boxes with mediocre care. Fragile glasses were BOUNCED down the stairs, the desk was BUMPED AGAINST THE WALL, causing a visible dent and paint damage, and the mattress was BLACKENED by grease while being encased in their $12 mattress cover. We called their customer service rep, who was defensive and only had the bottom line of COST. There are multiple, cost-competitive local movers in the South Bay Area and I would recommend researching OTHER MOVING COMPANIES to find one who is trustworthy, dependable and has high quality.
