Right in my neighborhood. Having been a restaurant owner, I know the problems that come with a restaurant. However, the manager is awful. She is not friendly, nor is the owner. Some servers are ok, but avoid the girl in her late 20's. First time there, bad service, good food. Gave it a second shot....same. I demanded they take the tip off the check. Will not go back. Come on people-Miami service is awful. This IS America, you should speak SOME English and have some manners. Stop paying tips my fellow friends unless you have good service. This is (miami)the only place in the USA I know of that adds a tip and expects you to pay it for crap service. Stop wasting your money, and do NOT waste it at this joint. more

i live near this restaurant. brought my parents from boston to eat here i can tell you that the food is OK but the service leaves a lot to be desired. the staff is rude and unapologetic and for the most part not acomodating. i like good food,good drinks and good service but one out of 3 is ok if you want a quick steak more

The worst service I could recieve 5/20/2009

Well, first of all I've to say that the food was good, and I really enjoyed the steak. But how can you enjoy a good food when you are served so badly, when the waitress talks rude to you, and makes you angry that you can't even eat, and when the manager never bothers to appear to apologize. We went there, and sat there for 20 minutes until we could get some water to drink, and the waitress was so unprofessional she forgot what we ordered. When finally we had our food on the table, we were so angry we couldn't eat it. We asked to talk to the manager, he never came. If service is important to you, never go there. more

This restaurant has very good food, but horrible service. The staff and the owner are very conceited and treat their customers very disrespectful. \r I would not recommend you to give your money to an establishment that treats people like that. You can find good steaks at other places that offer excellent service. \r \r Why wait an hour to be seated to have them make you feel like its YOUR privilege to eat there ???? \r \r Go somewhere else !!!! more

Everyone in this place has a horrible attitude, including the owner. The food is good but it's not worth the agrevation. They make you feel like if they are doing YOU a favor for allowing you to eat there. Unbelieveable how a business owner can treat his customers this way. \r I do not recommend this place to anybody. Pride is what it's all about here GREAT FOOD! The owner takes pride in his restaurant.He believes he is better than the customer and his workers.. If you want to have great food and feel worthless then this is the place to go... The waiters work in a very uncomfortable setting being reprimanded by the prideful man that has created this establishment .. Although the food was good it left me with an after taste... more

Most unusual dinner experience 2/22/2009

i was eating in Las Vacas Gordas the other night ... the location is good nice seating outside, service was mediocre, and the food was bellow average, was what incredible was what happened around us .. the couple in the next table complained about the food, the owner came over and talked to them, he was rude and obnoxious and did not offer any apology or addressed their complaints ... we we did not complain we just will not go back there and recommend all our friends to avoid that restaurant Pros: location and outside seating Cons: bad service ; arogant rude owner with an attitude more
