I have lived in a property managed by Paragon for more than nine years. This management company is horrible. They are not responsive to tenant needs; they make excuses and shift the blame. The thing that frustrates me most, the agents are extremely rude.\r \r If there were a way to take away stars in a review that would be the rating that I give this company.\r \r I have gone more than a week without hot water in my unit. The property agent argued with me because I called her to discuss it. Because I am a tenant in a condominium unit, she felt she did not owe me an explanation for the fact that more than a week after we reported a problem with the water temperature, they have not resolve the problem. I have not had hot water and Stephanie feels it is not her job to get it fixed (it is not her property and the agent assigned to the property is out of the office).\r \r If you are looking for inefficiency, this is the company. Customer service is deplorable. more

Paragon has been managing my rental for over a year now since I moved out of the area, and I have no complaints. They have been professional, courteous, and prompt in responding to any issues I (and the tenant) have had. I don't understand all of the hate in other comments, I have had nothing but good experiences with them. more

i wouldnt say that theyre the worst and no my review is not a hoax....ive never had a problem contacting or getting a hold of my representative for my property. The only problem that i have is that shes great at emailing back but a little slow when it comes to checking her messages....and we've never had any issues with our hoa pay,ents etc. Theyre okay...OKAY more

Horrible Company Illegal Operations and Unethical Practices 10/6/2011

These people shouldn't be allowed to manage a dog house. I'm getting late payments on HOA bills that I've paid early. They don't respond to writing at all! Any good review regarding them on her I guarantee is a hoax. I know two other people who have had to deal with them outside our HOA and they have had terrible experiences as well. Half the people in my HOA despise them but are so broke and fed up they refuse to not participate. I own two places that are under HOA management. Paragon is bizarre and backwards compared to my other management company. And as far as condo 123 statement trying to get them fired... not going to happen. I gave up a while ago. I literally was on the board for a while and stepped down when I found out they had committed illegal acts. I still have the proof. They pardoned one couples late fees and hired a resident there to do random maintenance without going through the proper channels. This guy was on the take for like 20k a year doing jack nothing and he was on the board?!? Conflict of interest perhaps? Stay away from these people. And don't confuse dumb with unethical business practices. They know what they are doing. They are providing a bunch of services on paper that they do not fulfill and then not answering phones or taking responsibility for lack of offered services. They lie to the HOA and they hire agents that lack any real world certification or skills and then start rotating them when someone catches on. I just filed a complaint last week with the BBB and they have yet to answer and probably won't. Warn your HOA and stay away from these crooks!! more

Not a Professional Company - Lacking Skills 8/19/2011

They manage our condo and are horrible. They are not professional and are lacking communication and management skills. Emails and voice messages are not returned in a timely matter and when I hear back they cannot help me and advise me to read the rules and regulations, really? I have yet to receive minutes from July's meeting because they will get to them when they can. It seems like all they do is pay bills. I can't wait to get on the board and fire them. more

Before Paragon - our HOA was running amok. Our Board tried to keep things under control, but self managing was a real chore! Our Manager, Kim, was our savior! She is all about the business, and that is how it should be. more

Today I received a notice that if I didn't stop making 'noise' in three days action would be taken against me. Paragon has singled us out from the beginning because we are college students, without ever even attempting to meet the other tenants who are ten fold louder, drunker, and more ridiculous than we will ever be. When I brought this up to Tara or Terry I'm not sure which she had the tone of a ten year old, exchanging insults and making up facts about who said what (speaking of tenants) which i find absolutely absurd. And the one positive review on here is clearly from an employee since when I last week asked the gardener to blow the leaves off my patio which has been done for free for three years under previous managment, he proceeded to charge me 20 dollars for five minutes of work, and he didn't even finish the job leaving me to sweep some of the leaves myself after. Paragon is a joke of a company, plain and simple. Pros: nothing Cons: insulting, unreliable, direspectful, and immature more

This company should not be in business. If you own and they represent your building beaware...They want to immediately raise the dues once there your management company. Additionally, are so good at Bulls*&&^ that they convince inexperience boards to practice the art of being rude to the members, gossiping about members, and not fixing a Da*&^n thing around the building. Now I feel like I live in an unkempt apartment building. Run Run Run if they want to be your management company. Cons: stock pile hoa dues then pay late more

I lived in a property managed by Paragon Equities for 2 years. The place started off wonderful. The apartment was clean and well maintained, the landscaping on the property was attractive, etc. Flash forward years and the place has turned into a trashy dump. Apparently the original manager for the property left Paragon Equities, and her replacement does not seem to care about maintaining the property. The landscaping is abysmal. All of the plants are overgrown and dying, yet they won't let me or other tenants do our own gardening. Instead we must look at a jungle of yellow/brown overgrown grass and dead shriveled flowers that block the path. Secondly, I noticed recently that the trash hadn't been picked up for that week. I called the trash company who said that our trash bin was no longer serviceable because the bottom had rotted out and it was missing a wheel. They said they had sent several letters to Paragon over a month before telling them that they must get a new trash bin and Paragon has not returned the correspondence. I called Paragon and they still haven't fixed it. It's been over 2 weeks since my trash has been picked up. It's an 8 unit building. 2 weeks of trash is A LOT. Lastly, I called to get permission to install a DirectTV satellite, left numerous messages, and my calls have not been returned. That was over 2 weeks ago as well. I paid $300 to get an HD receiver through Directtv and I can't even use it because the manager won't call me back. I finally called pretending to be interested in another property and the manager called me back within 10 minutes. So it turns out they only return calls if they have a possibility of getting money out of you! Just put in my 30 days notice. I can't wait to move. Paragon Equities is the slumlord wanna be millionaire management company. I have the unfortunate luck to live next door to the eight unit building at 3104 E. Colorado, what a zoo, unkempt, Mexican mow and blowers blowing trash and garbage all around the neighborhood, wires hanging off the buildings, derelict cars on the property, tweekers running the laundry all night on the weekends, illegal over stacking of tenants, violent drunken and aggressive degenerates hanging out spitting, breaking glass and tossing cigarette butts all over the place...and all under the watchful eye of their so called on site manager. Paragon stands for the highest quality of Diamond but this lump of coal should be avoided at all costs. Cons: Hard to find, no parking, office looks like a police substation, rude staff more

Ive never had a problem that didn't get address and or fixed. The maintenance staff has got to be the most curtious and respectful guys around. The lady above must be thinking of some other maintenance staff because Paragon's are the best. Pros: The apartment managers are nice and they really care about thier tenants more

i got to tell you,i was hesitant when putting my deposit down,but the apt was ocean side a really nice nieghborhood. first i had moved in on the fifth rent was 2 b prorated and when i got thier the fridge didnt work along with the stove,which blew a gas flame out of the front when i turned on the burners and the gas heater when the gas co came over to turn on service looked at the heater and wouldnt turn it on i told the land lord and thier maintenence guy said it was fine,hmmmm whome to believe gas co. or under paid mex guy.now i didnt have a fridge for a week and a stove for 2 weeks so i asked paragon 2 to deduct something off my rent they moved me into an apt that wasnt fit for renting,,,,no can do not a penny off...well the day i came home one day security screen door was painted,i called thier office and the receptionist took my call i asked if any work was done she said no.I was never informed on intent to enter my apt.,i told office my door was painted then she remembered they did paint door but never entered unit and this lady startred yelling at me,no body entered my apt,which seems impossible seeing that security door was locked painted inside and out.then times got tough for me lost my job,had to move out sent letter 30 day notice,which they lost,new manager never even saw it ,,,hmmm secretary didnt like me much,,,new manager was nice accepted my notice,and i was told the unit will be checked out that day i moved called two times and sent letter with new adress,phone.my deposit by law was to be and in lease to be returned 3 weeks,which was by dec 24,so on unenployment just paid rent and deposit let me tell you my christmas could of been better if i had my 1000 dollar deposit.thier are alot of management co. in that area i wish i had looked around.
