Editorial review from Citysearch 7/15/2013

Every time I visit PF Changs their service is poor. It doesn't matter who our server is. The last time we visited it seemed as if we were a bother to our server. I shouldn't have tipped him anything the service was that poor. more

I've gotten better service at McDonald's 2/27/2010

My husband and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant tonight. We arrived at the restaurant with our 1 year old daughter around 6:20pm and by almost 8pm, we still did not have a table despite being told when we arrived that we would have a 35-45 minute wait and being told several other times that it would just be 10 or 15 more minutes. Many people were eating a the bar, but they don't exactly have children's seat for the bar, so we just had to take turns holding her while feeding her food we had brought, without eating ourselves. We would have appreciated honesty on the part of the manager who told gave us the initial wait time so we could make the proper decision. We ended up leaving around 8pm when they still couldn't give us any reasonable estimate of when we might sit down. We complained to the manager, but he just laughed at us and gave us an insincere ""Sorry."" We will never go back. The food is not worth the hassle. Cons: Don't know how to handle Sat night crowds, poor management more

If you're into that kind of thing... 11/23/2007

The average person doesn't care if the food is authentic, so long as it tastes good. There's nothing wrong with that. Nobody should be criticized or insulted for enjoying themselves. If people have a good time and enjoy the food, more power to them. That being said, once you have become accustomed to really authentic, top quality food Chinese food, you simply don't want to eat at a place like this. (This is true of any cuisine, not just Chinese. If you love great Italian food, you probably won't be found at the Olive Garden, etc.) Some people don't have an interest in exploring that, and that's fine too. For my taste, it's just too American. The portions of some of the dishes are enormous, which is not necessarily a good thing. The atmosphere in general is rather loud and busy. Some won't mind that, but it's not my thing. 3/4 of their dishes use oyster sauce or some other ""special sauce"", which I suppose caters to a certain taste, but is unnecessary. The clientele is a giveaway, by the way. You won't find many Asians eating here. I feel there's just a phoniness about the place that I didn't like, with the white waiters bowing to me constantly, etc. This is the kind of place where it's a novelty to eat with chopsticks. I always look with suspicion upon any chain restaurant, particularly one that attempts to be ""ethnic"". I'm not trying to insult people who enjoy the place. I'm happy for them, and I encourage them to keep going if they like it. You do not have to apologize for what you like. If you understand what I'm getting at, however, you will want to look elsewhere. more

Well worth the wait 7/9/2007

P. F. Chang's in Alpharetta off of Mansell was great: Food, service, wait for seating, everything. Pros: Great experience - focus on the guest. Even called us on our mobiles when seating was available. Cons: Can be a lot of families in the restaurant. Typical for the burbs. That's why not waiting in the restaurant was even better. more

Great place to eat anyday. I love the steam fish and brown rice. A must Try! 6/15/2007

Great Place to go on a first date not too expensive and good food, maybe a little crowded on the weekends but overall a great dinner. They also have a bar if you just want to grab something quit or just hang-out and enjoy the crowd. Pros: Great service, friendly people Cons: n/a more

Great Customer Service 12/23/2006

12/13/2006 Pros: Two Thumbs up more

Packed 6/17/2004

The food actually tastes better than it look s- and the presentation is always beautiful. Although this location is ALWAYS packed. Enjoy yourself but never go if you're in a rush. Pros: Food Cons: , Long wait times more

P F Chang's 6/9/2003

Ok, so it's not traditional Chinese fare. It's a little electric but very tasty american asian style dishes. Different than what you're used to in a chinese restaurant. A fresh change from the norm but don't expect to need a doggie bag. The portions are sufficient but you won't have trouble eating the whole dish by yourself. A little pricier than usual for a Chinese lunch but a nice change to the norm. more

Great for lunch, get there early 2/24/2003

You can have pretty good Chinese for ok prices in a nice atmosphere as long as you get there early for lunch. I would not suggest this place for dinner as it is overpriced and does not handle the mass influx of Atlanta diners well. Try the lettuce wraps, one of the best in the city. Pros: lettuce wraps 4 lunch more

gloppy unidentifiable... 12/2/2002

Neuvo Chinese Food 11/20/2002

No matter what city I visit PF Chang,s the food quality is always great and the service top notch. more

the best of ga 11/9/2002

The food is a definite must and their special sauce is not one to pass up. they add a new twist to the favorites as well as adding new plates with exciting flavors more

AMERICANIZED CHINESE 11/9/2002

I think that Atlanta doesn't have an authentic Chinese restaurant....if so, it must be on Buford Highway and I'm not adventuresome enough to find the location. Pros: good appetizers Cons: service marginal more

unbelievable! 11/9/2002

it's sad that in a city as large as atlanta, people are still so uncultured as to choose a restaurant that doesn't even serve REAL chinese food as an audience winner. unbelievable! more

Mediocre food for avg people 11/9/2002

While PF's food isn't bad by any means, it definitely isn't the best. What it is is mediocre food suited for the average person's needs. Good enough; nothing more. Pros: fair value, crowded Cons: average food more

wrong location right restaurant 11/9/2002

I have ate at both the Perimeter location and the North Point location and by far do I find the Perimeter location BETTER. why do you not mention the Perimeter location in this poll is beyond me what a shame the best chinese food in town and you direct people to the wrong location????? Pros: Inexpensive, Great Food, Friendly people Cons: parking more

rc review 11/9/2002

nice place but the food was to much for the monwy. Pros: to much for the money Cons: nice place more

American or Chinese?? 11/9/2002

PF Changs is really over Americanized with too much salt and not enough authenticity! more

mediocre 11/9/2002

The restaurant came on the market with quite a splash. God food, imaginative cusine, and a great ambience. The best that can be said for it now is that the rate of decline has slowed to make it a mediorce restaurant. It is no longer a ""destination!"" Pros: Upscale, good locations, crowded Cons: Expensive, mundane, insipid more

Trendy but not Authenic 11/9/2002

I ate at several PF Chang location and their food was pretty good. However, it's more tailored to meet the American taste but so I really couldn't call it an authenic Chninese restaurant. But overall, if you just want to get good food for a reasonable price, it's a good place to be. Pros: tasty food, good atmosphere, variety Cons: too americanize, too trendy more
