Outrageous Audio

I have two amps, 6 component speakers with cross overs, tweeters and 2 subwoofers and a deep cell battery. All above average equipment. I'm a do it your self'er and installed all this myself including my DVD head unit, GPS, and rearview camera. I had an alternator whine and one mess of tangled wires and front speaker wires run between the door jams. I decided to let Outrageous Audio fix it all. They charged me a by the hour price and told me they couldn't stand behind their work unless they go through everything and rewire it all, I said OK. They hid the 6 crossovers in the doors and did an excellent job of cleaning up my mess. They reran a new power wire from the under the hood battery to my deep cell battery and replaced all my speaker wires at no extra charge. Problem, when I left I still heard a hum through my speakers. I went back the next day as it was closing time when I picked up my car to resolve the problem. They say ""it wasn't there last night"" it was there. You have a bad crossover, your problem. I'm angry now. I had to force the issue. I ask if they can at least come out and look at it.The installer comes out and gives me the run around. I'm now getting angrier. He finally say's let me talk to the boss. I wait a few minutes and he comes back out and takes the car in the shop to look at it. I wait maybe 5 minutes and the customer service guy tells me problem resolved. Loose interconnect wire to the amp. We stand behind our work he says. They did stand behind their work but no one should have to basically demand they at the very least look at the problem. They did an outstanding job of rewiring everything and giving me a clean install and I was happy to pay their price. I'll admit excellent quality but be prepared for some battles if you bring in your own stuff and have problems. more

I went to Outrageous Audio today 09/05/13 with what seemed like another audio catastrophe. I called ahead and explained myself, then I drove from Milwaukie to Gresham. I was expecting the worst: New deck replacement $1000, modulator, shop fees. NOPE! None of that! \r The staff came out to my truck with my deck already pulled out. Messed with this messed with that and two minutes later had my deck working correctly again. I absolutely wouldn't go anywhere for my car stereo needs but to Blane and the crew.. I recognize most of the faces every time I go into the store. Employee retention and customer retention is top priority when you are taking your baby to have work done. Outrageous audio is the best custom stereo and equipment store in or around Portland! more

What is the correct information worth? Everything to me. I went to several other stores and after talking to Doug at Outrageous Audio I soon saw the clear difference from ""Kids"" trying to sell car audio compared to a store that has ""Passion"" for car audio. You could just tell that these people care. Rather than pushing me into stuff I didn't want, I was explained features and chose myself. The selection is HUGE. I bought a Sony Bluetooth deck and they linked it to my phone. A week later my battery died which lost the stereos memory. I went back in because I couldn't figure it out.....Doug stopped helping another person, came out to my car, showed me how to do it.......Man I made the right choice choosing this store. more

Affordable. Knowledgeable. Quick install. And it sounds amazing! The staff was friendly, helpful, and knew exactly what I needed. Jorge explained everything in a non-slimy sales way and ultimately it made me feel good about my purchase. Who does that anymore? None that I know of!!!! I had been to many stereo stores prior to this purchase and I always felt like their hand was in my pocket. Bottom line is, I have an old rig and it feels like new with a great sounding stereo and speakers. I can't wait to go back to purchase a sub! Thank you Outrageous Audio for hooking me up! Btw, the owner was there and he is a super cool dude. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, you will be sorry. We picked Outrageous Audio by the ""reviews"" on the internet, do not belive them, most of them are fake. Go on yelp, a lot more real. We were sold a falsely advertized product, that was installed, and not working from day one. We received no boxes, no manuals, no warranty, for what we know they could have been old, I am sure they will sell them as new again to the next fooled customers. They have no return policy, you are stuck with them or loose your money. We wasted time, gas, and energy. The DVD system they sell in the store for $500 is $260 on amazon. Do our hoeworl better than us. more

Went to their website and the prices were far better than what I was seeing at other stores. Went in...they had what they advertised...got a new stereo that has bluetooth and works my iphone..Thanks DOUG for taking the time to show me all of the options that I would of otherwise missed. I sent my truck to Outrageous Audio today to install an alarm system that went with my home-installed automatic locks, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful with deciding which system would fit best with my truck. I came back to the store a couple hours later to pick up my truck, the workmanship that was put in to my machine really impressed me. I then noticed that my locks were re-mounted to work better with my locks and to better fit my windows. I was blown away at how well they took care of me. Definitely feel like I got my money's worth and much more! I highly recommend that anyone who wants quality work for their hard earned dollar to go to Outrageous Audio and see what they have for you. more

I made the drive from Tanasbourne out to Gresham and it was totally worth the time. I didn't know what I wanted so the Owner (Blane) asked me a few questions and a price range and within minutes I was ready for the install. No messing around or haggling..... He showed me exactly what I needed for my price range. Jeff got the install one in about an hour and I drove away with heart pounding sound..... worth every penny...... Thanks again guys! more

If your considering an audio system look no further outrageous audio is by far the best store for car audio, video and alarms, hell they will even make you the loudest boat on the water. I have had a few cars set up by them and sent all my friends in that direction never have i had a bad experience at outrageous audio nobody i talked to has either. Sales people are awesome don't really seem like sales people cause they are not jamming the most expensive thing in the store your way. They are truly devoted to serving you well hence the warranty that's free with all the work they do which is a nice gesture but you never need it cause they do it right... the first time. I just got a new daily driver went in there got my entire sound system there Blane Heartleb (one of the owners) wasnt there when i bought the system which was sad cause hes the guy on tv but as i was having my amp tuned he walked by with a huge grin on his face after hearing my cars sound system he didn't notice i saw the huge grin on his face, Its nice to know you have a guy that is real no bs whose passion is truly car audio which means nobody EVER leaves with something that he doesn't approve or stand behind. its a different shopping environment in such a manor you wish there were more stores like this. I have to say that my experience at Outrageou Audio was EXCELLENT!! They not only have all the best gear at the best prices but they treat you right. Whether you want to purchase the inexpensive or top of the line Outrageous Audio is the place to go. I have gone to the other guys in the past but I will NEVER go there again. I have been in the store a few times but just to look and this time was plesantly surprised when i bought my stereo. I have bought from competitors before and have gotten burnt equiptment that didnt work as described installed poorly and encourage to by something i didnt like. This time I went to Outrageous Audio first and told them what i wanted the took the time to show me the best options and explain why. I thought about it no sales pressure and looked at several other items them made my decision. It was a busy sunday so Blane installed the radio him self The Owner Installed My radio. WOW when does that happen.... and the previous install was a mess but thanks to Blane the install went Quickly all problems were fixed and off I went... It has been two weeks now i couldnt be more pleased thanks to the team at Outrageous Audio i was able to get the fetures i wanted hands free and blue tooth streeming. NO more expesive repetitive satalite radio. no more looking for my Bluetooth head set and best of all it was reasonably price. Thank you Blane and the rest of the team... ken K more

I have had all 7 cars done here throughout the last 10+ years and come back for a reason. Great selection, fair prices, and better installers than other places. Ed has done all my installs, but one and I like his clean and awesomeacious installs. They sell you what you want and don't try to drive you elesewhere for bait and switch tactics. What a cool experience. Got everything I was looking for and even cooler prospects of new projects. Tough to leave this Disneyland.....woulda/shoulda/.coulda bought more....but had a tee time. This ""IS"" the place to buy anything audio/video/etc. Don't be stupid.......parking is easy if you get here early. I walked in and was greeted by several of the staff. They guided me to the ""Wall of Amps"" to pick out an amp for my car. They have a huge wall to choose from that got ,me really confused. I told ""Mike"" what I needed and he showed me several different options and explained why these were the best choices. I felt very good about my purchase. I have seen that guy on TV and went to this store and when I walked in.....he was the one that said ""Hi""......This guy was down to earth.....and Mike showed me what I needed........I did not expect this type of ""Organic"" experience.....these people do it right!
