Best

Just had an awesome Valentine's dinner with my husband. We both had the New York Steak w/peppercorn sauce, yum. The whole meal and the service were very good. We live in Hillsboro...

Worst

I went to Orenco Grill for a working lunch. I have had a decent hamburger there in the past. I made the mistake of ordering the Chinese chicken salad. After I ate it I heard a dif...

not a good choice 9/5/2002

Although the staff is consistently great here, the food is far from fabulous. The lunch menu is a hideous novel length, ala carte menu that leaves you with no choice but over priced and greasy burgers. The dinners are poorly seasoned and my Chicken dinner was horrible and smoothered in sauce. This place is very overpriced for what you get -- drive yourself out of the suburbs and go downtown to get your money's worth at a decent restaurant. Pros: pleasant staff, decent cocktails Cons: unappealing food, poor quality of meat, overpriced more

Everythin you could ever desire! 8/25/2002

My wife and I have frequented the Orenco Station Grill numerous times. They have everything from Shrimp Scampi and Scallops (my wife's favorite!) to Filet Mignon and Porterhouse steaks (my favorite!). The Grill has an affordable wine list as well as an impressive Reserve Wine List for special occasions. And the bar is really a work of art (a must see). The service at the Grill is prompt and sufficient with a wonderful array of personalities. I would highly recommend the Orenco Station Grill to all. Pros: wine, spirits, service Cons: only open until 10, kids (notRedRobin) more

Delicious! 8/22/2002

I have eaten at Orenco Station Grill quite a few times and my experiences have been very nice. The staff there is very friendly and the seating is very prompt and usually there is no wait. The food is great and has perfect timing and the proportions are very large and filling. It can be a little spendy, but generally if you plan on going out... you usually plan on spending some money. A real nice place to dine and eat. more

You'll like the Italian place next door. 8/16/2002

Orenco is a nice place and usualy very clean. The bar is small but that's o.k. because they basically close at sundown. The food is consistently mediocre and they are often out of some of the popular items. Their steaks have a lot of flavor and the cooks do a fine job of preparing them. Most of the steaks are cut too thin to suite me. For the location and demography, Orenco is very overpriced. Bottom line: There's a nice Italian Place in the same block. Pros: Parking, Location, Not very many kids Cons: Expensive, Same veggies daily more

Stick to Lunch 8/14/2002

I have had lunch here several times and it is good, especially given that there used to be no decent eateries in the vicinity. Dinner, however, is another story. Servings are large, but the two steaks we ordered were just plain bad. The meat tasted like it had been frozen and thawed--many times. And it's pretty expensive for a neighborhood type restaraunt. Pros: Nice ambiance, Frank Sinatra music Cons: Expensive, food more

personality 8/8/2002

Orenco Station Grill is a very friendly place with a lot of personality amongst the staff. The menu has a good mix with some fun suggestions, the best is the burger menu on the weekends. I highly recomend this place, as it can be a place to take a date or just go to hang out at the bar with friends. Pros: comfortable, friendly, efficient Cons: music more

Steaks are YOU, Orenco 8/7/2002

Very friendly Place to bring the hole family. The steaks very flavorful. As well as the rest of the menu. Very night that I have been there, There is A nightly and Chef's special. All I can Say WOW! more

Awsome Wine List! 8/1/2002

The OSG is such a cool place with a great after work bar! The menu has some never fail favorites along with great speciality dishes de jour! Keep up the great work Steve! All the Best! Pros: elegant, friendly, comfortable Cons: only 1 more

This place should be called Salty's 7/30/2002

First time my wife and I went in, the entree's were ""raining"" in salt---OH MY GOD was it salty, and I don't mean a little bit, it was unedible. Chalked it up to bad first experience. Went 2nd time and same thing, started out with salty soup, we had to send it back. Had the Calamari appetizer to replace soup. The seasoning on the Calamari was salty, could not eat them either, opted out of the rest of the meal, had a drink, and left. 3rd times the charm right? WRONG! Same salt-challenged chef whipping up salty cuisine (he must have stock in the bottled water companies). Also OSG are painting themselves high-end, but using paper napkins, with nice flatware. White table-cloth linens with Aunt Bessie's K-mart dishes and the appetizer selection rivals that of your local stipjoint. This place is BAD, absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever eaten. Pros: Closing Time Cons: Expensive, Bad Food, Bad Overpriced Drinks more

  • In Short
This restaurant is like a saloon crossed with a brasserie. Except for a brightly lit bar, the dining room is all dim lights and dark-wood booths. Steaks are the big draw here....
