SATISFIED! 2/13/2012

As a regular client, I was offended personally by what I read on the review directed towards Danielle! She shared this with me while I was in the salon today and I felt the need to express my experiences and opinion. Danielle has done body wraps on me regularly and I have not had anything other than a pleasant time with good results. She has helped me reach my goals before my wedding day!! Opinions are one thing but personal stabs and accusations are another! The person who wrote these aweful things and made it personal should be ashamed of themself. If you are reading this Danielle, I want you to know that you do a great job and not to let one out of hundreds make you feel any different! more

1) Groupon made a noteable mistake in providing a mini massage w/body wrap as it is IMPOSSIBLE to provide while entire body is wrapped.\r 2) Saturday afternoon is EXTREMELY busy with a full schedule and clients have the option of an MP3 player with earphones to suppress any background noise.\r 3) The salon has countless clients who are deserving of applause and positive attention for their on-going results of continuing inch-loss from body wrap treatments provided by Danielle. \r 4) All reviews, good or bad, are equally important and addressed properly and professionally! \r 5) Client follow-up is part of the Salons customer service processes. The good out-weigh the bad at Open Door. It is very unfortunate that stats show a dissatisfied client is more likely to write a review on-line than a satisfied one. \r 6) The previous review stated that ""other peoples reviews said the same"" .....DISAGREE!....all reviews did not say the same. \r 7) with everything said, ""Do not go there"" is harsh. \r more

DO NOT go there!!!! 2/11/2012

I would strongly not recommend anyone to go there. I was looking forward to a relaxing afternoon but came really disappointed and upset!. I went for a body wrap, It was a treat and the experience was terribble. I think the person was called Dannielle. There were 3 add on that came with the body wrap . I got he foot mask and facial, but didnt get the massage! Which i was looking forward to the most. I cam e home and looked at other peoples review on the salon and they said the same. The room I was in I could here everyones conversation so I wasnt able to relax. I'm training at the moment so I know all my measurements of my body, I was told I lost 5 inches but when I re-measured myself I was the same, and I did everything I was suppose to in the leaflet. Apparently Danielle had !0 years of experience but I didnt see any certificate on the wall to show that. This placee was suppose to be a spa it didn't even have water in the buliding. I saw and heard one of the assisant interupting and asking daniellle if she had some water in her car to pass it onto the customer. How can we trust this place!!!! Very upset, that I felt like I was mugged and felt like crying. was really looking forward to this. more

Mostly great except for a weak link 1/14/2012

My husband bought me a gift certificat there.. so i had plenty of services with i think all the girls... so this review is on everyone. First i had my hair done with Kaylah, and she really rocked it. i mean cut, color 2 thumps up i wld go back for her alone. and then gel nails with brittany, excellent very sweet girl, and loved my nails My massage was sooo relaxing i loved it i think her name was nancy? idk but she was really nice did hotrocks on my back for free, then pedicure and bodywrap..idk her name she had a short funky blond cut, neway, i had to pay someone else to fix her pedicure, and she threw mud on me and on the wall and the floor it was gross def the weak link ..my review would have been perfect apart form her. but 3 out of for isnt bad. so give them a try more

Go Get a Massage!!!! 1/1/2012

treated myself yesterday to a massage before a long day and night, now i need another. My massage rocked!!!!!! can,t stop thinkin about it! I don't think a 5 star rating is enough, should be much higher!!!!! I would normally not write reviews but since my experience is still running through my head I thought the rest of you would like to know. back to football and bed. Massage was perfect! more

Best Keratin Smoothing Blowout!!!! Hands Down!! 1/1/2012

This is my 4th time trying a smoothing treatment. All ranging from $125-$400. The Blowout that I received here was so much better than the first several I tried! There really is no comparison! If you are hopping around looking for a quality smoothing blowout with superior results, try theirs! This salon is beautiful and the hair stylist who I had did a wonderful job! more

My first body wrap today and I lost 11 inches! So HAPPY! I can see it, I can feel it, and going back for 2 more next week!! Can't wait! This is really a fat loss system. Not the old style water loss. I am so exctited I can't stand myself! (loving myself really) more

Perfect for my ENTIRE family!!!!! 10/11/2011

This Salon and Spa is a very relaxed place where I can take my husband and children or spend some time alone!!! Not stuffy, just perfect! My family has experienced everything from hair to pedicures and massage and we have been more than pleased with it all! Getting to know the staff was as easy as meeting new friends! Friendly is what they are! Our community has needed a place like this for quite some time! Easy commute, affordable, friendly, professional and very comfortable! more

Would only recommend a facial with Lindsay 8/24/2011

I had a facial done with Lindsay and it was fantastic! She was very nice, I relaxed and enjoyed myself for an whole hour. Unfortunately I found out she doesn't work there anymore and therefore will no longer be a customer especially after reading the review about the other woman's experience with facial services. I recommended the salon to a friend who sat in the lobby for 20 minutes with no one ever coming to the front desk though someone walked by and saw her. Horribly run company with an owner who has no communication skills. more

Open door salon and day spa 5/17/2011

Horrrrrrrrrible...unless you use a flobee for your haircuts and paint by numbers for your color you should AVOID at all costs...\r \r I had gone to this salon as a customer of one of the massage therapists only until this past Friday 5-15-11. I was looking for a relaxing day of having someone else do the work that I normally do for my hair. Now background I did go to school and have done hair for 10 years howeever it's for hobby now. I have worked in high end salons and therefore have high expectations. On top of being 30 mins late to start my hair the stylist that asked if I had an appointment apparently forgot to tell the girl doing my hair that I was sitting up front..I was already calling to see if I could get into Kenneth's which is where I should have gone. \r Short story- I looked at the end of the 1.5 hours like I had stuck my finger in a socket and that I had some rare spotted hair disease. I have had bad hair days so I gave the girl the benefit of the doubt and calmly left before I went ballistic. \r walking in to my house my mother looked at me and said ""you didn't pay for that did you"" ummm that was the second reaction in the 15 mins it took me to get home and I hadn't really checked it yet. \r Saturday I called immediately to tell them how it was two inches shorter all over and one inch shorter on the right side with spots Lindsay who works there said no problem we will get you your money back...NOw Krista who works as the manager called me on Sunday...she stated she didn't know about it but that I should know from working in a salon that they don't give money back that they could fix it...uh you shredded my head and I am gonna let you touch my hair again UH no! Still waiting for the owner Shelly to call me back. \r And incase you think that I am just ranting I went to the Supply warehouse to get products to fix my hair and the lady who works there who knows the owner was shocked that I had been in the salon and that I looked the way I did.\r \r Nope not crazy but if I won't be getting my money back I will be ranting all the live long day...if only I could attach the picts...\r \r So to those who think that it's a great place to go...maybe stop using boxed color and try a real salon.\r \r and I own this review \r \r jenmoore more

NIGHTMARE! 4/26/2011

I normally do not write reviews but I thought I would save anyone in the future from visiting this salon. Worst massage ever!!! My one hour massage ended up only amounting to 35 minutes and I don't think this girl was even licensed! All she did was rub my skin and smack her gum in my ear the whole time. Horrible and unprofessional staff! No wonder they have 100 signs in the windows advertising services because nobody is going to walk in on their own! more

Exceptional!! 11/6/2010

I have been purchasing GROUPON COUPONS to different Spa's in search of a new place where I can have my needs and wants met without breaking the bank. My first visit to Open Door I took advantage of Hair and Waxing services, the stylist spent time with me as a first timer to figure out just what I wanted and she nailed it!!! GREAT JOB!! Moved right on into a private room where I recieved my facial waxing (in the past I have always been in the stylist chair for my facial waxing and was more comfortable behind closed doors), the Esthetician was very professional and super friendly! 2 thumbs up with the waxing as well! As I was leaving, ran into friends sharing a birthday together who were in for spa services, they both raved about the place. For some of us these days, we need to cut back on things, due to the professionalism, convenience, value and atmosphere of Open Door, I am able to continue enjoying my wants along with my needs! I am anxious to try a few more services! more

EXCELLENT SERVICES! 10/14/2010

I can't say enough about the friendly staff and professional services! My first experience was a Massage that had to be the BEST I have ever had! The impression of the atmosphere along with the staff is why I returned for further Spa and Hair services. Now they can't get rid of me! I have referred several friends into the salon and have yet to hear any negative comments! The staff takes great care of me and will continue using them for my needs! Thanks Open Door ! more

Horrible services! 9/10/2010

To begin with I have made several appointments with Open Door and I had to cancel because after an appointment is made, someone calls up from the salon asking me to reschedule according to their convenience. I have been to the place twice. First time I went in there was for a massage. I admit the massage therapist was wonderful. However, the person at the front desk was very rude. The second time I went there was for a haircut. I had made an appointment a day before and had asked for an Ultimate Style and the hair stylist only gave me a simple haircut with a blowout. The staff at the premises were gossiping amongst each other and my hair stylist was not concentrating on her job. When I was done with the haircut and I was making a payment, the staff was not paying attention to the billing, instead they were talking in hushed tone about someone and ignoring me. I had to wait for someone to pick me up and the lady at the front desk shouted at me saying ""How may I help you?"". I replied that I already had a haircut and am just waiting to be picked up by my friend. The staff is not even aware of their clients. Horrible place with bad work ethics. I wouldn't go there again more

I wanted to say here that I am very surprised I went to a beauty salon today. I am a 30 something guy who would never have thought to get a haircut at a salon. My idea of getting a haircut was always which ever place had a coupon out for a cheap cut. It was my girlfriend who convinced me that I should go with her to get a cut while she got her nails done. I though ok, why not I do need a hair cut anyhow. I though at first I might feel out of place there around a bunch of women talking shop and what not in a salon. To my surprise I was not the only guy there. I was in the company of two other guys one about 50 or so professional guy, and a 30s construction worker guy, who I found out had been turned on to the Open Door by his wife. I didn't feel out of place at all. I have to say I got a great hair cut, and some advice about some ways to keep my hair healthier. I spent a little more than I usually do for a cut, but I feel as though it is definately worth it. Truly an open door policy at the Open Door! And my girlfriend liked it that I put her nail job on my bill. I even got a free massage...from my girlfriend!\r \r Pros: Felt Welcome more

Excellent Salon & Day Spa 2/2/2010

I have been going to the Open Door since it has first opened, and felt that it is time I expressed my appreciation for all they do. I am a 36 year old mother of two, and there is very little of what I like to call ""me time"". I get my nails done once a month, and my hair color and cut, every other month. This is my time out of the coccoon of work, kids, and home life. I feel like every time I go I am visiting an old friend, who just happens to be the best beautician in town. I leave the Open Door feeling like somebody just let me have my ""me time"". As I look around I see this is the reason that so many of the clients keep coming back from so many walks of life.
