My brother-in-law, also known as the smartest person in the world, rented a condo on Tybee.  I rented a room at the Ocean Plaza.  Their condo had no beach access.  The best was right outside our door.  Bro in law complained every day about the condo beds and shower.  Our Ocean Plaza beds and shower was as good as ours is at home.  Bro in law said they will stay with us at the Ocean Plaza next trip to Tybee. more

Great time 10/16/2012

We had a GREAT time at the Ocean Plaza. It takes about a half hour after check-in to get into the Tybee vibe and slow down and relax on your room balcony of this hotel. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves is simply fantastic. more

Family Friendly 9/25/2012

We just spent a week here with our kids and here is what surprised me. I didn’t see wet floor with sand. I didn’t have to complain about rowdy guest behavior. I didn’t have to deal with late night drunks making noise. This is a family friendly hotel and the staff does an excellent job. Our family loved our stay here and we would recommend it to anyone. more

Location is beyond belief 8/24/2012

We wanted a place on the beach for our stay on Tybee and we liked our stay at the Ocean Plaza.  Some have complained about a parking lot between the hotel and beach but it’s no big deal.  It takes just seconds to walk across the lot to get on the beach. We were very satisfied and can recommend this hotel. more

Thank you so much . We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. We come every other year to visit the beach and always enjoy the stay here. I will be back again to visit the beach and when I do I will stay here once again. more

Awesome place to stay. I had a very nice stay here. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The beach is very near by and I am going to stay here again if I ever return to this area for vacation. more

Room was large! 2/28/2011

We loved the oceanfront location. Attached restaurant was used for dinner and breakfast--again the view couldn't be beaten! Food and service were good in the restaurant. Room was large and adequately equipped. I would recommend to a friend. more

Hidden Gem 2/25/2011

I stayed at this hotel last week. My wife and I had just visited an old Navy buddy and his wife who live on nearby Skidaway Island and they told us about Tybee. We had never been so we extended our trip a couple of days and stayed at the Ocean Plaza Beach Resort. It was great. This hotel and Tybee Island reminded me of bygone days when a vacation meant a slower pace. I though this hotel was a hidden treasure. We’ll be back soon! more

I lucked out! 2/25/2011

I stayed at the Ocean Plaza Beach Resort by accident. My Savannah hotel reservation was messed up so I ended up without a room at the convention hotel in Savannah . I got on my Blackberry and found the Ocean Plaza online. I booked the room and a 25 minute drive later, I was there. I lucked out! While my co-workers were stuck with the crowds downtown, I had a room overlooking the Atlantic ocean and a room about twice the size of what they had and for less money. I got to start my days with a jog on the beach while the ones at the convention hotel started by waiting in line for food at the crowed restaurants. I just went next door and ate at the Dolphin Reef and never had to wait 10 seconds for a table. I would stay here again in a heartbeat when I have to be in Savannah on business. more

I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. 2/23/2011

I stayed at the hotel for the Tybee Half Marathon. I ate the Breakfast Buffet and also dinner at the Sports Lounge. I plan on staying st your hotel next year for the race. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. more

We enjoyed our stay and found the accommodations fit our needs and comfortable. The closeness to the pier, pavilion and village area was good, plus great walking the beach. Touring Tybee island was fun, and the hotel was convenient for this. more

Wow what a wonderful location near the beaches many amenities inside great bar and lounge area. I Would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a wonderful stay near the beach more
