I stayed at the Ocean Plaza Beach Resort by accident. My Savannah hotel reservation was messed up so I ended up without a room at the convention hotel in Savannah . I got on my Blackberry and found the Ocean Plaza online. I booked the room and a 25 minute drive later, I was there. I lucked out! While my co-workers were stuck with the crowds downtown, I had a room overlooking the Atlantic ocean and a room about twice the size of what they had and for less money. I got to start my days with a jog on the beach while the ones at the convention hotel started by waiting in line for food at the crowed restaurants. I just went next door and ate at the Dolphin Reef and never had to wait 10 seconds for a table. I would stay here again in a heartbeat when I have to be in Savannah on business.
