After living in Thailand, I returned in quest of good Thai food. I tried OSHA based on a recommendation. It took some effort to get to - no parking & in an icky area of town. ...

Delicious food, great atmosphere and a solid value. Music was a bit too loud for conversation. We'll definitely be back. more

Yummy Yummy Late nite! 9/18/2008

I love Osha! They have a dish for everyone! Im a very picky eater, and my boyfriend and I have very different taste in food, so choosing a restaurant to eat at can be difficult. But we both can easily agree on Osha! He loves the crispy chicken with fried rice and I highy recomend any of their yummy salads, made with fresh papaya, mango, cilantro, you get the picture 8) ...all fresh raw foods for the health-nut Iin me. I love the ambiance in the union street location, its really worth a visit! Also the mango sticky rice desert is one of my favorites not to heavy desert and great to share. MUST TRY! more

Great Thai. Experience varies depending on location. Great prices. Most locations are very kid friendly. more

It always seems to me that when I'm dying of hunger I usually wind up with some waitress that wants to chat me up for 20 mins, forgets to bring the drinks and doesnt take our food order until 45 mins into the whole process. So now instead I go to OSHA on those occasions. The waitress/waiters never say more than 3 words to you, always bring water the minute you sit down, and bring you the check along with your food. It's not the best thai this city has to offer but its fast with no frills. They have raised thier prices but I'm lazy and wont walk more than 2 blocks for mediocore thai food. more

Coconut ice cream! 3/20/2008

The actual dinner dish was excellent, but I was not expecting them to also have great dessert. The fried coconut ice cream is to die for! I had to go back there for another serving before my trip was over. It's so unique and delicious! The place can be a little crowded at night, so be prepared to possible sit at a table w/ other couples if the place is packed. Pros: Great meals! Better dessert! Cons: Over-crowding. more

Osha has really great food and my daughter loves to eat tofu. The restaurants are good kid spots because they are fast and noisy, but not all locations have high chairs. Food is really inexpensive. more

Osha has a few locations now and they are all appropriate for kids. The food is good and cheap and no one will care if you bring a baby. Just be sure that whatever you order for your baby isn't too spicy...we usually opt for tofu. more

The only thing I like there is the fried rice, fish cake, and their fast service. The red curry is too sweet and the soup is too sour. more

We used to eat at Osha all the time when we lived on Nob Hill. The food is excellent, the staff is rude and the restaurant borders the tenderloin. It's fine to bring children if you are in the area, but I would make it a destination (although I think there is an Osha in the Marina now, which would be worth making a trip for. more

Clean, Cheap, TASTY 4/24/2007

Osha Thai is amazing. They have fabulous food, are open incredibly late and conveniently located. I like the atmosphere. Everyone always seems to be enjoying themselves. The boothes are a little uncomfy, but I know they must be soooo much easier to clean. (I worked as a restaurant manager for 2 years.) I have never been seated at a ""dirty"" table. You know the ones with someone elses rice on it, or rings from others cups. Its clean, fast, friendly, and above all extremely tasty. The only thing that really bothers me, they take FOREVER to bring you the check. But they are generally pretty busy, and all you have to do is stop ANY of the staff and ask for it. The check generally arrives about .30 seconds later. Overall, great place to relax with friends. more
