So happy to have chosen this practice for my 2 children. The physicians spend so much time with us compared to our last doctor's office. The nurses are caring and actually talk to my children which puts them at ease. I can always get a sick appointment on the same day that I call. I cannot say enough good things about this practice and the people who work there. Highly recommend! more

When I finally try to request medical records of my child to change to other Ped office, the staff is very uncooperative , unconsiderate .She refuses to tell you how many pages of the record and she charges for every single page if print out. What a pain to work with this kind of person.\r \r I am already going through too much trouble with this Practice....\r \r After all these, I have to say, why get into so much pain from the beginning to the end.\r \r Avoid it! more

The other people who rated this group poorly are CRAZY! 10/3/2011

I've been going here since my son was born and I LOVE the entire practice. All of the doctors and NPs are great, very friendly and informative- and you can tell the actually care about your child, you, and your family. One of the doctors even took some time to talk to me about postpartum depression after my son was born and gave me some great pointers on how to battle the post-baby blues. more

Can not run away from this PD fast enough 2/9/2011

We can not run away from this clinic fast enough, very disappointed. At my younger one's 18 month check up, the nurse practitioner told me he's due for 3 shots, I reviewed her order and signed the paper. But the technician came in and only gave two, I asked whether two shots were combined. She said no, and just left ignoring my concern. Couldn't wait for someone to talk to me that day, so I ended up calling the office multiple times afterwards, finally got the original nurse called back and apologized for the technician?s mistake. Apparently she messed up with another older child's order. Two of the three - Hep A#1 and PCV#4 weren't given, instead she gave us a Varivax #2 which should have waited till age 4 for 2nd shot, my child had got his first shot only 3 months ago. They tried to convince me it is safe, saying the CDC guideline indicates 2nd shot administrated 3 months after 1st is safe, sounds like they're more interested in covering their ass than avoiding such thing happen again, that really pissed me off. Now our new PD told us my child need to take Varivax again after 4 years old. Then my older one, he had fever without any other symptoms for 2+ weeks, back to normal for 3 days, then back again, I took him to office multiple times, the nurse practitioner does the same routine check each time, and just say ""could be some kind of Virus"", this dragged for over a month, got me really paranoid that he might have some blood disorder, 'cause he's easy to get bruises and had nose bleeding problem. I kept saying that you got to be able to do some test, I can't sit around and wonder as his fever continues. Finally requested them (yes, I requested) to order a blood test. Thank god it's nothing serious, he had high count of white cells, but other indications are normal, should be just viral infection according to a specialist, but he also find out his iron is too low, need supplements. It was a huge relief finally, but their attitude of ""there is nothing really we can do at this point"" got me mad. One more thing, when we asked them to transfer records to our new PD, they charged us $17.00 for 22 pages of medical record!!! more

good for a 7 years long 10/19/2008

We have been at NWG Peds for about 7 1/2 years....Is TRUTH and ""painful"" that you have to wait for a long time before being seen...and while waiting in the room Pros: Really close to my house (almost in my back yard....priceless) Cons: waiting Long time before being seen more

NWG Peds 6/12/2008

As first time parents, we thought this would be a great practice to join as it was affiliated with my OBGYN. NOT THE case and we learned that the hard way. My daughter had multiple ear infections as well as many other problems. Their solution was always to prescribe a new and different antibiotic. She would see a different doc every time. They never answer the phone - you will always have to leave a message and then someone will call you back. Even when you make an appt, be prepared to sit there for at least 30-45 mins before being seen, then add on an additional 25-35 mins once they take you back to a room for the doc to see you. We went an entire yr, 18 mos to be exact and 10+ ear infections before they took MY ADVICE to send my child to an ENT. Even after that, they would treat, what they dubbed as, ""minor problems"" over the phone, often mis-diagnosing her. The last mis-diagnosis was what led to our decision to go elsewhere. We've been very happy with our new Pediatrician ever since. Small office, the doc knows her and treats my daughter as if she were treating her own child. Thank goodness - no more NWG Peds!!!! Pros: Thumbs Down Cons: Thumbs Down more

Best pediatricians in the area 5/16/2008

Extremely caring staff with exceptional physicians! I feel my children get excellant care and are treated as individual rather than another face in a large practice. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: 10 minute wait for our appt. more
