that you asked to be picked up...you would think that the taxi cab would BE there. I was. When I called them to ask them where they were, the dispatcher said...oh you weren't there and so my driver left and he is back already...and there was NO ONE in the area...if he can be back at the office in less than 15 mins - then why couldn't he come back ? or am I expecting too much? Wish I had read the reviews before I scheduled the pick-up. I know that my 15 dollar ride was probably not a lot of money to their company but it is a lot of money for me. (1/4 of my daily pay) more

Criminals and Morons 8/7/2011

I guess North End Taxi drivers don?t consider it breaking and entering so long as you?re doing a customer a favor. This morning, a Sunday, at 5:00 I was awakened by a fierce thumping, a pounding that shook the entire building. My Colby Creek block has twenty units, and after an hour of pounding every inhabitant must have been wide awake. I got dressed and investigated, assuming that emergency work was being done on a broken water main, or something equally critical. It was, in fact, a North End Taxi driver destroying an apartment door with a sledge hammer, chisels, crow bar, and sundry other ""tools of the trade."" He had cut an opening in the metal door to get at the lock buried inside and was busy smashing the deadbolt. The occupant screamed over the pounding, ""I locked myself out! He's helping me get in!"" He was soon finished, and the occupant was most grateful for his chivalrous assistance to a fair damsel on a foggy Sunday morn. As he left I asked him for his Operator number. The weasel (who actually resembled a weasel) replied, ""What's an Operator number?"" I guess he forgot that it is embossed on a little metal plate on the rear of the vehicle. For those who think North End drivers honk their horns in the middle of the night out of sheer laziness, I assure you this is not the case. They do for the joy of pure malice, for these are physically fit, industrious, hard working criminals. more

I improve my previous review. 1/11/2011

I wrote a previous review but improperly. Citysearch still has it.\r \r I wish they would keep their fleet in better working condition.\r They put too many drivers on the road on slow days and nights.\r These are the kindest, most caring people I have met, both as a group and individually. Taxis are always clean. Dispatchers and drivers provide me with fast, reliable service. Drivers I have met thoroughly know North King and South Snohomish county. Their attitude toward the disabled is positive and patient.\r I don't use any other company. more

I've always called on north end taxi I agree the dispatcher is rude and long waits. but hey when u need aride and there is no one else to call... not ANYMORE though! Dave, cab # 402 stole my 15 dollar change! I was drunk and taking care of my even more drunk friend when it came to the end of the ride my fare was 4.80 I gave him 20 at the beginning of the ride and he refused to give me my effen change!! long waits are fine but taking addvantage of people because you think their too intoxicated to realize what's going on! you were wrong dave. more

This company and I have known each other for almost 6 years. Their attitude toward disabled persons is caring. Cabs are clean. Drivers are polite and knowledgeable of their service area. For me they have always arrived on time and always driven safely. I recommend them to everybody. I encounter many who feel as I do. Why to tey North End Taxi 8/16/2008

Folks... I am a driver for North end Taxi and I would like to apologize for any inconvenience our dingy dispatchers have caused. Being a driver I appreciate our company--it's better then the others because it will let ME drive (white Washintonian female driver) but unfortunately, the drivers are ""for hire"" and are not employed by the company, which means that we come and go as we please. This also presents a problem for our dispatchers-they never know when we will be in. I try to be consistent, but others could really not care. Lately I have been having a hard time getting a working car or understanding why new drivers don't get maps or follw easy general procedures. Not to be mean to customers, but being a cabby is not an easy business since pretty much any Tom, Richard or Harry can be one and most don't care. N. End try's, but is only human (and 98% American, Engish speaking) Please feel free to nag to the Co.!!! I look forward to getting it right. Also notice how I nag, figuring my owner will not look at this. Please feel free to ask for Mike Lafrance or Connie Dunn. We WILL hook you up. Enjoy this heat wave. more

Incredibly rude dispatcher, long wait for cabs 5/8/2008

Here's the situation I'm trying to get home to bring my diabetic mother her glucometer so it's time for a taxi. I call North End as I've always tried to support them. They send a cab my way and I wait outside. Ten minutes go by and I call back saying I'll wait at another corner to make it easier for the driver to pick me up. I go there and wait another 15. In this time 3 empty taxies from oher companies have passed me by. Finally I call the dispatcher back to say that I'm sorry, but I can't wait any longer and need to grab another taxi. He says ok and I get in an Orange Cab,\r \r I call my mother to let her know I have her glucometer and when I get off I have a new voicemail waiting.\r \r It's the dispatcher who called me back to chew me out about wasting his time.\r \r He makes me wait 25 minutes without a cab, I do him the courtesy of calling to tell him I am giving up on his cab rather than just walking off, and he calls me to chew me out for wasting HIS time?\r \r I have been a supporter of this company for years, they usually have clean cabs and polite drivers. But they have seen a steady decline. I hope this dispatcher's rant garnered him a lot of satisfaction becauseit cost him about 20 fares a year, mostly trips from Shoreline to the airport and I know they are not in a financial position to lose this business.\r \r Go with another company. Sure, their drivers may not speak English, but I don't think Yellow Cab would call you up and leave a voice mail chewing you out after making you wat almost half an hour. more

They are the best in town 5/1/2008

I go to the airport about every other week. Early in the AM. They are ALWAYS on time. Their cabs are the clean and well maintained. And I have tried a lot of cab companies. Nothing in Seattle compares. North End Taxi is the best. My favorite drivers are JC and Jeremy. I am sure others are good too but I always ask for these two. more

guess what rolls downhill 1/3/2003

In the past few months (since October 2002) this company seems to have replaced thier entire workforce with idiots who cannot figure out what a time-call is... either they are horribly late or REALLY early (need a cab at 6 am? it will be there between 5 am and 7 am).The drivers I have had seem to think they own the road (even oncoming lanes!) and my roommate always gets 'complimented' on her chest size. I used to be a regular customer of North End... the lack of management has chased all the competent employees to rival cab companies. I could deal with a few less-than-pleasant dispatchers/drivers if they were good at what they do, but rude idiots are never worth my money. Pros: nice paint job, some clean cars, service area Cons: inconsiderate drivers, unsafe driving, complaints ignored more
