Folks... I am a driver for North end Taxi and I would like to apologize for any inconvenience our dingy dispatchers have caused. Being a driver I appreciate our company--it's better then the others because it will let ME drive (white Washintonian female driver) but unfortunately, the drivers are ""for hire"" and are not employed by the company, which means that we come and go as we please. This also presents a problem for our dispatchers-they never know when we will be in. I try to be consistent, but others could really not care. Lately I have been having a hard time getting a working car or understanding why new drivers don't get maps or follw easy general procedures. Not to be mean to customers, but being a cabby is not an easy business since pretty much any Tom, Richard or Harry can be one and most don't care. N. End try's, but is only human (and 98% American, Engish speaking) Please feel free to nag to the Co.!!! I look forward to getting it right. Also notice how I nag, figuring my owner will not look at this. Please feel free to ask for Mike Lafrance or Connie Dunn. We WILL hook you up. Enjoy this heat wave.
