Here's the situation I'm trying to get home to bring my diabetic mother her glucometer so it's time for a taxi. I call North End as I've always tried to support them. They send a cab my way and I wait outside. Ten minutes go by and I call back saying I'll wait at another corner to make it easier for the driver to pick me up. I go there and wait another 15. In this time 3 empty taxies from oher companies have passed me by. Finally I call the dispatcher back to say that I'm sorry, but I can't wait any longer and need to grab another taxi. He says ok and I get in an Orange Cab,\r

I call my mother to let her know I have her glucometer and when I get off I have a new voicemail waiting.\r

It's the dispatcher who called me back to chew me out about wasting his time.\r

He makes me wait 25 minutes without a cab, I do him the courtesy of calling to tell him I am giving up on his cab rather than just walking off, and he calls me to chew me out for wasting HIS time?\r

I have been a supporter of this company for years, they usually have clean cabs and polite drivers. But they have seen a steady decline. I hope this dispatcher's rant garnered him a lot of satisfaction becauseit cost him about 20 fares a year, mostly trips from Shoreline to the airport and I know they are not in a financial position to lose this business.\r

Go with another company. Sure, their drivers may not speak English, but I don't think Yellow Cab would call you up and leave a voice mail chewing you out after making you wat almost half an hour.
