Nirvana Spa & Salon

I just moved to the area and was in serious need of a brazilian wax. I am very picky about this because it can be very painful if done wrong. I found Nirvana's website and saw they had a special, so I figured I'd give them a try. Well... I have found my waxing place!!! Cynetha was GREAT! She knew exactly what to do and she made me laugh and feel comfortable. I do not mind spending money on waxing as long as Cynetha is doing it. You have got to go there! ok, I just moved to chapel hill from CT and i have gone everywhere in chapel hill trying to get a great haircut and let me tell you Nirvana is the best! Everyone is sweet and welcoming and its just such a cozy atmosphere. The girl who did my hair was just so knowledgable and she expainled everything she was doing so i wouldn't have a hard time at home. I also recieved a facial while i was there and let me tell you, Daniel is AMAZING!!! He walked me through everything and just my entire visit so relaxing! I would recommened Nirvana to anyone who is in search of upscale quality at a resonable price. Pros: staff more

I agree that Nirvana is great place to get waxing done. The estheticians listen and are really good about making sure all hair is gone. I have been to a few cheap salons and most every time my eyebrows where either too thin or my skin was taken off when they were done. I think I have found the place to get all my waxing!!!! I went into Nirvana because I saw the website. I wanted my hair straightened because it is so thick and curly. I met Cynetha and she explained what she was doing and why, she made sure my scalp was okay and she gave me the best shampoo and massage of my life! I was skeptical about the service at first, but she was very knowledgeable and my hair never looked better. She cut my hair too. I am just so impressed with her skills. I will definately go back to her and refer all my friends to her. She taught me that I don't have to spend $500 on Japanese Straightening, she has a better method. I went to Nirvana spa in Chapel Hill to get a brazilian waxing and it was my fist time. I was very nervous to say the least but the lady that did the waxing (Jamie) made me feel very at ease and talked with me the whole time to take my mind off the waxing. Even though it hurt it hurt only for a second and when it was all over I was glad I had it done! They gave me a card so after 5 times I get one free.!! I will be back! I went to Nirvana on the recommendation of a friend. I have always been somewhat intimidated by more upscale/trendy places, but everyone was very professional and very friendly. I made the appointment via e-mail, and received a prompt and professional response. Lis gave me a great haircut, and she struck the perfect balance between really listening to what I wanted, and also giving me great advice. I intend to go back to try some of the other spa services. all the spas i have visited in chapel hill are boring and poor imitations of what most people who have never been to a spa feel they should be like. check out their website for a taste of what their place is like. Then steps up nirvana spa and salon. their staff, their product lines, their offerings of hot tea or sodas or water, their music, their colors, the ambiance is warm, fun, relaxing and much like being at a good friends' house b/c there is no need to be something you are not... i started with a massage, then a facial, then microderm, then pedicures, then waxing (they have hard wax - no pain) , and finally 8 inches of my hair cut; i love it. they really care...they really get it. on their front door, it reads, ""where it is all about you..."" they really mean it.
